Freshly transferred from NERV's Tabgha Moon Base to its branch in OCU Japan as a reserve Evangelion pilot and expert on aliens and monsters, few know what to make of Kaworu Nagisa. Between his ethereal appearance, detached friendliness, and penchant for the philosophical, many might call him downright weird--which might in turn explain the persistent hostile rumor that he's a Coordinator. This doesn't seem to bother him. Open, easygoing, and with the patience of a saint, Kaworu is always quintessentially himself. Humanity fascinates him in all its forms, which for some reason he refers to collectively as Lilim, but he has a particular regard for Shinji Ikari, the pilot of Unit-01.
