"The era in which people wander in search of Newtypes is at an end. And now you must create a new future for yourselves."
The After War Gundam timeline looks at a world 15 years on from an event similar to the One Year War, but radically more catastrophic; rather than wiping out merely half of humanity, more than 99% of the population of the Earth Sphere is wiped out, leaving the remnants to muddle along in the wreckage as best they can.
After War Gundam X
In the year A.W. 0015, Garrod Ran -- a Vulture, seeking mobile suit parts and other salvage amid the wreckage of the 7th Space War -- is drawn into conflict on a global scale by his association with a mysterious young girl named Tiffa Adill. Countless factions, in their own way, chase the power of the word "Newtype" -- but is this truly the power that will shape the new era, or just an illusion sought by the desperate?
Integration Notes
The following are things that were adjusted or changed as part of integrating After War Gundam content onto SRTMOO.
- The world is merely 50% destroyed rather than 99% destroyed. Fortunately, Operation Stardust gives us plenty of wrecked areas in the Americas to work with, and the general state of the world is such that a Vulture can make it work just about anywhere.
- The 7th Space War has been combined with the One Year War. As a result, pretty much every Gundam X character is a year older than their canon age at launch.
- The Alternative Company is a Britannian Union mobile weapon manufacturer, affiliated with LOGOS and the Romefeller Foundation.
- Jamil Neate makes common cause with the Shuffle Alliance, and has for a few years now; he was known to the previous Shuffle Alliance, but only recently reconnected with the newbies.
- D.O.M.E. is a black project from the One Year War. The bunker containing D.O.M.E. is a no-fly zone on the moon.
- Many technologies have been lightly adjusted to make sense. All of these have been documented in the After War Gundam section of the Library by Theme.
- This is a clarifier rather than something that necessarily changed, but: the Frost Brothers were at a general Federation Newtype Research Laboratory, not a Titans-specific one. Not every Federation crime against humanity is associated with the Titans.
- Most Gundam X non-Gundam mobile suits are "dead end" Federation or Zeon development from the One Year War. Mao Industries currently owns the development rights for the Federation's share of this, and has put some of the winners into production for the Shuffle Alliance.
- Nomoa Long (and by extension Ennil El and Carris Nautilus) are affiliated with the Sleeves at game start. Players for these characters are welcome to take them where they want in the long term.

Development Trivia
Here is some fun development trivia related to After War Gundam and the process of integrating it on SRTMOO.
- Inventing the in-universe reason for the Vulture name was fun. You can find it on the grid if you look for it!
- During the period of time where the game was G Generation MUSH, Gundam X's integration was actually more difficult.
