Alto Saotome is a high-schooler living in the Frontier colony fleet. Formerly a rising star in kabuki theater, he has since turned away from that life to become a Valkyrie pilot. He attends the Frontier fleet's most decorated flight academy, while also working as a fighter pilot for the PMC, Strategic Military Services (S.M.S.), under the overall umbrella of Nergal. Alto is a young man with a dream of flying in endless skies, while searching for his place in the world. His sheltered life on the Frontier fleet has left him rather self-centered. Though when the stakes are high, he has the will and, surprisingly, the talent to come through for his friends and comrades. He is only just starting to experience the pain that comes with war, but already he's starting to see that it's something that no one should have to endure. Perhaps, if he can become a better pilot, he might gain the power to do something about it, while protecting those he cares for. Assuming he survives the two idols vying for his attention.
