Anti was carved from clay in order to crush Gridman, so that Tsutsujidai would be safe from change. Though he is a quiet and unsettling humanlike child off the battlefield, Anti is constantly learning from those around him, mimicking their most interesting ideas. On the battlefield, he grows into a massive reptilian kaiju, aggressive against anyone who would alter his creator's world -- with the worst of his malice reserved for Gridman. Even when he's huge, he remains a copycat, growing monstrous reproductions of his foes' weapons from his body. When Anti takes the fight out of Tsutsujidai, he uses an unlobotomised Death Army unit called the Death Knight, because Anti cannot transform without permission... or Gridman's presence.
