Martian Successor Nadesico
"Bring down the King of Dark Space Demons! Let's go, Gekiganger 3!"
Martian Successor Nadesico follows the next-generation Nergal battleship Nadesico as it travels between Mars and Earth, pursuing the mysterious goals of the corporation while also fighting against the "Jovian Lizards," a mysterious force of unmanned units that the Earth government claims are sent by extraterrestrials invading from the Jupiter Sphere.
Martian Successor Nadesico
Equal parts robot anime and romantic comedy, Martian Successor Nadesico follows the story of cook-turned-pilot Akito Tenkawa, ditzy ship captain Yurika Misumaru, and the... colorful... crew of the Nadesico as they fight against the Jovian Lizards, deal with the long reach of the United Earth Armed Forces, come to grips with what it means to make war, and... watch robot anime.
Integration Notes
The following are notes on elements that were changed, shifted, or adjusted for integration on SRTMOO.
- Nergal Heavy Industries is based in the Orb Union, not Japan. We wanted to make Nergal's not-strictly-a-Federation-company status a little easier to have stick in the integrated theme.
- The Nadesico is not immediately conscripted upon return to the Earth Sphere, though the Federation does heavily lean on it regarding anti-Jovian and anti-ZAFT activities in particular. This is a purposeful tension-increaser.
- That it has gone to Mars and returned is implied here, with the full range of additions and subtractions to the crew. Yurika has indeed done her cool spot on Mars, and the Nadesico has received its second set of pilots (to replace a dead pilot from the first set).
- The nature of how a character becomes a Class A Boson Jumper is somewhat more complex than in Nadesico. Being born on Mars does improve the odds of being a Class A Jumper, but is not the only criterion.
- The Peacelands are one of the Orb Union's Five Families.
- The Jovian Federation is not indiscriminately bombing literally every Earth Sphere holding; ZAFT and Zeon are exempt from this activity, and ZAFT in particular has a covert alliance with the Jovian Federation. (It's the shared cultural trauma.) The Jupiter Energy Fleet is also exempt from Jovian bombing; Jovian PCs will be made aware of the reasons for this, as well as some relevant cultural nuances that aren't public knowledge.
- The Aestivalis line partially adheres to the MULS-P standardization agreement that Front Mission and Code Geass units also do, mostly as regards weapons.
- There are more solid details on the Prehistoric Martian Super Civilization of 12,000 years ago than in canon, but they incorporate elements from other themes.
- Akatsuki Nagare has access to a considerable amount of theme data other than his own as well as an additional faction membership and a Nagare player will be made aware of these elements.
- Gekiganger 3 is something of a cult classic among mecha designers on Earth, in that way that Star Trek tends to inspire modern Western engineers; a fair amount of mecha design boils down to "I saw this cool thing in the cartoon and wanted to make it, accurately," though the extent to which mecha designers have Gekiganger Brain has steadily tapered off over the decades.
- PCs are not allowed to invoke the time travel element of Boson Jumping without contacting staff.

Development Trivia
The following is some development trivia relevant to the Nadesico series.
- Actually, there isn't much here! Nadesico was a relatively easy integration.
