First Lunar Independence War

A war lasting from 2206 to 2210, generally regarded as the last major conflict of the Anno Domini era. Lunar colonists staged a war against the Earth for independence.

The nations that would eventually become the Earth Federation employed a divide-and-conquer approach, in which they carefully stoked internal tensions within the movement, splitting it into reconciliation-centered and authoritarian camps to reduce the effectiveness of recruiting and supply chain activities before chasing the authoritarian wing of the movement off of Luna entirely.

It is generally agreed that the movement chased to Jupiter ran out of supplies and died; the reconciliation camp of the movement, conversely, went on to found Copernicus City.
