Super Robot Wars 30

Super Robot Wars 30 is a 2021 release from Bandai-Namco's B.B. Studio brand and is the 30th anniversary game in the Super Robot Wars franchise.

It follows the operations of the Dreisstrager, a battleship designed as a decisive weapon in all Earth Sphere conflicts.

Super Robot Wars 30 informs a small amount of our Super Robot Wars Z integration as well as the integration of a few other shows; while our series list was mostly finalized by the time it came out, we massaged a few things into place a little more gently using things it did.

However, despite how close it is to our setting data, 30 does have a few key differences from our setting, and as a result, we've had to make some adjustments. We've divided these into two categories: "Minimal-Spoiler" and "Major Spoiler."

Minimal-Spoiler Integration Notes

• The Dreisstrager is part of the Nergal Heavy Industries infrastructure. The Dreikreuz being simultaneously totally removed from the proper Federation infrastructure and deeply dependent-on and in-conjunction with it is a bit of a needle to thread and we decided that leaning on Nergal's G-Hound connections was the best way to thread it.
• Commander Fikes is a G-Hound member who serves as a liaison between G-Hound and Nergal. His relationship with Edge and Az remains as it was in the game.
• The Quaestors could invade Earth at literally any moment but have not yet shown their faces at game start other than the occasional drone, and the Earth Sphere is a mess with already existing drone warfare happening anyway.
• Edge and Az are, for the purposes of Species and Subspecies typing, Category Fs. More information on that as it develops.

Major Spoiler Integration Notes

• The Aos super civilization has ties to the Macross Series, Mazinger Series, Kotetsushin Jeeg, Martian Successor Nadesico, and other themes.
• We have taken the implication that 30's world exists after Z's "kalpic cycle" and run with it, which is why the Z integration is in the state it's in. We may massage this if the rumored story expansion occurs, because it will occur way before any of this is placed at issue.
• The Dreisstrager and the protagonist's Huckebein 30 (whichever among the two protagonists is apped first, or failing that, whichever if both are apped first should they agree on it) has significant history of which characters who need to know will be made aware.
• We'll work actively with an active 30 cast, as with other Banpresto casts with weird multidimensional content, to engage the topic of the pillars of light as needed/desired by the cast.
