The ND-001 Nadesico, with two Phase Transition Engines and four Nuclear Pulse Engines, represents all that Nergal has learned so far in its development of civilian-class battleships. It is equipped with a full spread of missiles, and the "Gravity Blast Cannon", a vacuum-powered force weapon which is capable of destroying a fleet of conventional technology in a single shot. Defensively, it is known for its Distortion Field, an EN-powered barrier which deflects weapon fire. As a civilian battleship, the Nadesico is something of an oddity for something so powerful -- there are hardly any military men in the 214-odd members of her strange and quirky crew.
