Despite having the privilege to live a carefree childhood unburdened by the turmoil of the Earth Sphere, Flay Allster was just one girl of many who lost everything in the Bloody Valentine conflict, and turned to hatred in response to it. Once desperate enough to use her own powerlessness to secure her protection, it seems she’s no longer satisfied that way, learning to pilot the GAT-X105E Strike E after her graduation from Asticassia. While her prideful and impulsive nature have led her to make many mistakes on her path, she has also had to live and learn from them in equal measure. Formerly a First Lieutenant in the Gaia Sabers, Flay has found a new place in Terminal, following the reveal of Logos, and a number of other disagreements with the direction of what was once meant to be a peacekeeping organization. She has decided not to join the Magallanica Defense Forces as a regular member, instead, using her new position and her voice to help Terminal achieve its goals of bringing peace to the Earth Sphere. Despite that, she is still willing to lend Terminal the piloting skills she developed with the Gaia Sabers for the sake of a world that is still worth protecting - and living in.

A young woman with a life marked with tragedy, Flay Allster was one of the Heliopolis students mixed up in the Bloody Valentine War aboard the Archangel. Having lost her father in the fighting, Flay spiralled down a dark path, using the Strike Gundam pilot Kira Yamato in her quest for revenge against the Coordinators. As the war progressed, she came to regret her actions and stayed on the battlefield to make amends with her friends. After the war, she completed her studies at Asticassia, gaining a commission with the Gaia Sabers and her own enhanced Strike Gundam soon after. Fearing another war on the scale of Bloody Valentine, Flay abandoned the Gaia Sabers and rejoined the crew of the Archangel, hoping that they can find a path forward together. As a former Gaia Saber, she brings a wealth of resources to the table for Terminal, and currently serves as one of the Legged Ship's pilots from time to time. Still the same proud and vain young woman she's always been, Flay has nevertheless matured a lot since the first war, taking the hard path in slowly healing from her trauma and unlearning lifelong prejudices.
