Calm and collected, Enba Rezza seems always to be a step ahead of the people around them. This is not because they have some great psychic power or secret knowledge, usually, but a simple expedient of their personality. That is to say, they tend to look three steps ahead and not say anything until they've reached four. They pay close attention to the people and situations around them, and this quality makes them an ideal executive officer. Their sharp leadership and canny assistance has made them invaluable in the position to Eight York, and in the Three Ships Alliance they remain an important officer to the logistics and running of the ship--and more. They come from Italy, on Earth, but have little patience for the talk of a 'blue Earth' and other arguments that they would say stem primarily from emotion. Now in command of the Ra Mari II while Eight York steps back from the front lines, Enba is having to make a lot of adjustments. Once the one behind the curtain, now they are a clear presence and authority. They'll have to find their own approach to command, rather than copy Eight's.

Background

Born in the AEU shortly before the One Year War, Enba Rezza was lucky to survive the unrest in their early childhood. Their parents were doctors, and they were often kept busy with everything going on in Enba's early life. However, tragedy would strike in early childhood; due to an accident, and then a transfusion of tainted blood, their mother died when they were still young. Raised primarily by their father thus, Enba would turn out to be a child who valued precision and stability above sentimental concerns, even before adolescence.

Their family history would inspire Rezza to want to do something for the world, but the increasingly mercenary nature of the AEU's forces did not sit right with them. Their interest in sciences suggested they might become a researcher, which was a path not entirely dissimilar to their mother's, but to the surprise of friends and family both, at sixteen Enba chose to continue their education in a colonial academy on Londenion, whereupon they would join Londo Bell.

The truth is that they didn't want to be a mercenary, but did want to make a difference; their complex relationship to the Federation seemed best served in an autonomous force. However, they didn't count on just how inconvenient Londo Bell turned out to be, and were nearly inclined to leave when their tour was up. An assignment to the Ra Mari under Captain Zaress Ulyse would prove an opportunity to broaden their horizons, but tragedy struck on an assignment to Winter Wonderland; while their mentor the Captain didn't survive, the young Comms Officer Eight York did, and she saved Enba's life that day. Enba in turn helped organize the ship under the acting Captain.

When the crew of the Ra Mari defected at the failed invasion of Orb, Enba Rezza was promoted to Commander under the Three Ships Alliance.

Resources

Enba Rezza is an officer in good standing with the Federation, with the rights and responsibilities that go along. They also have a number of scientific contacts through schools in the AEU and Londenion and the Federation in general. In addition, they can act with the Captain's voice in many matters concerning the Ra Mari II. ...But the truth is their resources are otherwise limited; they have little family and few remaining friends outside the ship.

However, now that they're in the Three Ships Alliance, they help quite a bit with the logistical side of operations.
