Still thinking of himself as a civilian contractor, Gidon Kall has nevertheless acclimated well to the Ra Mari II's military environment. He is a straightforward man with a brash demeanor that belies a careful, steadfast heart. He's a believer in rules and regulations, and knows his ship well. Coming from Orb, he initially joined in the aftermath of the failed invasion that saw the Three Ships Alliance come into existence--and he remains there now that, officially, they serve Magallanica. The truth of Terminal seems to him the best way to protect the friends he's made and the home that still concerns him, and he will do both unwaveringly.
Background
Gidon Kall grew up in a fairly ordinary family that encouraged him to succeed. They were in business, and while Kall didn't inherit the family position, he got a lot of lessons in commerce.
It suited him fine to go his own way, anyway.
He finished university in two years, and started serving as an operator on board commercial spaceships for Nergal and other companies in the Orb Union. Here he'd make a lot of money and make a name for himself as a reliable crewman.
In early 0097, when the Ra Mari II defends Orb, he signs on as one of its new crew. Since then he's served as the Operations Officer, overseeing supplies and personnel aboard ship.
In 0098 he was promoted to Commander, and joined with the rest of the Ra Mari II as part of Magallanica's Defense Force.
Resources
Gidon Kall is third-in-command on the Ra Mari II, with the responsibilities and resources that brings. He can get more or less anything he needs on or from the ship, and on top of that he has a lot of business contacts from his upbringing and early career in Orb. He is a canny businessman and a sharp mind.
