<Pose Tracker> Crowe Brust has posed.

The Brasta as a machine was quite an interesting design, despite being based on a majority of mobile weapons - and the Scott Labs Axio most of all - it was made specifically for in-athmosphere flight, the borderline plane wings behind its shoulders pushing it through the air with surprising dexterity and almost unparalleled fluidity; though of course, a lot of that could also be attributed to its pilot making it move just how he wanted it to, regardless of its engine being a supernatural bronco in a cage.

In this particular occasion, the two newest members of the satellicon had been sent out for a quick live fire test - the simple checklist being lengthenned considerably by a couple extra checklists relating to the fact the VX was likely not a Man-Made Thing (which qualified it for supernatural powersource tests, which did mean the Brasta would be dragged through the paces and well beyond the basics)

With a third member tagging along to make sure things didn't devolve into too much trouble - or that neither ended up stranded at sea really - things had come around to be a rather safe test enviroment all things considered, regardless, even just the presence of mobile weapons in the distant scope of a fishing boat was cause for concern for higher authorities; and as Crowe's hands tightenned on the controls and the Brasta drifted through the air like a racecar in the middle of night, the stage was set for fateful encounters galore

"What's left on the checklist after this anyways? Do we even know what this thing takes for fuel yet?"

a simple question to ask when considering the ongoing investigation of his own unit, the whole reason they'd been dragged out to the middle of international waters

<Pose Tracker> Lianne Moren has posed.

Lianne winces a little at the question. "I feel like you should probably know what it runs on before sending it out... your boss probably sent the info to Sayaka or Koji or one of the other techy types, right?" she says. "It would kind of suck to run out of fuel in the middle of the ocean. Like really really suck."

The Syken drifts lazily about, it's true GN Drive having no trouble keeping the Gundam aloft. Lianne, for her part, has mostly been testing the Swarm Bits. She can't really explain how she activates them, and when she tries it involves a lot of 'whoosh' and 'zing!' sorts of noises as it comes more from intuition than intent, but that doesn't mean she shouldn't practice.

For the whole test, though, she's been distinctly distracted. Last night hadn't been what she expected. That encounter with Lilium, that intense feeling that something was WRONG, had shaken her. She kept thinking about it, and the strange sensations she got from Lilium's bodyguard. How had she even known that was a bodyguard...? The questions swirl in her brain and at times it almost seems like the Swarm Bits get caught up in that mental whirlpool, responding to her emotions.

<Pose Tracker> Shiiko Sugai has posed.

During the movie event, a certain gothic Lolita shared some interesting tidbits about some Satellicon spies who joined the party to Saber Officers. This found it's way to Shiiko Sugai, now entrusted with a few pilots to chase down these interlopers and shoot them down. It might be too late to have kept them from accomplishing their mission, but they won't escape to tell the tale.

The Formidable itself was off the coast of Area 11, ready to scramble it's mobile suits just in case anything happened to the large gathering of Britannian nobles and celebrities, along with the sizable Gaia Sabers presence at the end. Once the Satellicon pilots are finally within site of the stealth battleship, it's about time to launch. "They seem to have stopped. And there's a third now?" Shiiko murmurs as she looks over her CIC's shoulder. "No matter. Get Dusk and that Knight of Six to the catapult. We're engaging." The CIC officer nods with a 'Yes sir", as the Commander leaves for the hanger.

As Shiiko settles into her newly repaired GN-X's cockpit, she begins turning it on and running through pre-flight checks as she's risen to Catapult 1. "Alright, pilots. We have... three Satellicon's playing over international waters right now. Our intel suggests that two of them were present during the movie premiere yesterday, with a third unknown. We don't want them to return home with whatever they got from spying on us. Weapons free. Pick your target and take them out." CLEAR. CLEAR. CLEAR. "Shiiko Sugai, GN-X! Launching!" HEr GN-X is launched forward with force, sending herself into the air. "Let's go, Sabers!" She says as she leads the way into battle.

<Pose Tracker> Aurora Dusk has posed.

Assigned to that mission to hunt down the Satellicon team is Aurora. It's not actually often brought up, but Aurora's theoretical main duty is 'counterintelligence', here taken as the is detection, hunting, and neutralisation (dead or alive) of enemy intelligence. Aurora herself can perform investigative tasks, but she's most suited to being a hatchetwoman.

Thus, she finds herself moved onto the Formidable one day after the party, as part of the hunting team.

The order to sortie is given. Aurora makes her way to her black-colored MP Nu. They'll be contacting the enemy over water, but it typically comes with backpack mounted flight unit and auxiliary leg mounted boosters by default, so that'll pose little problem for her. << Mission confirmed. >>

The Nu is set onto the catapault. << Aurora Dusk, Mass Production Nu. Launching! >> Firing her thrusters, she soars into the sky, forming up on the other launched MS.

<Pose Tracker> Anya Alstreim has posed.

After the rather stuffy affair that was the movie premiere, Anya was kind of relieved to be given something more directed to do.

As they came within view of the target, Anya made her way to the maroon and gold knightmare frame, taking a moment to visually acquire the mobile weapons they were here to hunt down.

Among them was the target of the tipoff they'd received, a deserter in one of two stolen suits the Satellicon group seemed to be hovering around in.

As the knightmare stepped into the catapult, she wrapped her fingers tighter around the controls, locking her sights onto the black and white mobile weapon in the distance. "Anya Alstreim, Mordred. Taking off," she intoned, launching out over the Pacific.

<Pose Tracker> Orion Kessler has posed.

Meanwhile on the Ptolemy, Orion was sitting in the cockpit of his GN-X, waiting for the GN Drive Tau to recharge, mainly since it runs off electricity. Ironic wasn't it? He was part of the very organization that pioneered this technology, yet he's stuck with the cheap electric powered knock-off. But either way, he kept himself busy by monitoring the statuses of both the Brasta and the Syken, both were quite interesting.

"Well, Mr. Brust, everything about your unit is conventional so far. Nothing out of the ordinary to me, especially compared to the machines we have on hand. I've already reviewed how the Ichinanas and our GN Drives work, and it seems like normal stable output to me. Just a bit higher of course given you're using a prototype. Maybe we'll need actual combat scenarios to see if that changes, how high or low it goes from your baseline."

Though how Lianne was controlling the Syken caught his eye, it almost looked like she was using it like it was second nature, especially the bits. She seemed quite out of it today, so he decided to get her attention. "Lianne, you ok? You haven't been doing so well since last night."

Truth be told however, Orion was far from fine either. Especially when he was told EXACTLY what happened at the Tarabaman premier. His nerdy rage practically made him explode last night, what the hell were they thinking when they made this new Tarabaman? Like legacy designs being used for absolute fan service and nothing else? Not to mention all the real life links? This just read to him like an absolute shitshow of a movie in his head. One day, he'll find whoever greenlit that garbage, and show them what an actual Tarabaman movie SHOULD look like-

Then there was an alert on his long range radar. GN Particle signatures, and not the kind that they want to be seeing. "Guys, we have Tau Drive signatures on our scope plus one from the colony attack. It's the Gaia Sabers!" Quickly getting his feet down from where they were propped up, Orion quickly donned his helmet as he began the startup sequence for his GN-X. The wire connected to his Tau Drive was disconnected, the whirr of the reactor echoed throughout the hangar bay before the unit was moved to the catapult. "I'll keep the mooks of your backs, you guys deal with the heavy hitters. And stay safe. If you can't handle it, come back to the Ptolemy."

The catapult door opened, and the rails hummed with energy as the catapult charged up to launch. Orion lowered the visor on his helmet before taking the controls in each hand. "Orion Kessler, GN-X Cannon, heading off!" The rails grinded and screeched as the GN-X was ferried forwards before accelerating towards the edge of the catapult and launched Orion in the air, the new GN particle reading making itself known on the battlefield just like last time.

<Pose Tracker> Aurora Dusk has posed.

It doesn't take long for Aurora to make visual contact with the Satellicon intruder team. They look like they're... doing an MS test? It makes sense. They'd have to induct their newest Gundam Meister. Aurora pings the enemy contacts on her squad comms. << I'll take the GN Gundam in yellow. >>

And take she does. She lines up the Syken in the targeting reticule on her screen, and her machine raises its beam rifle and fires a bolt aimed directly at the head.

<< Acknowledged, Dusk. >> Shiiko strains her eyes in the distance, to see a third suit scrambling in response. << We have a third bandit. I'm taking the hostile GN-X.>> She says as she zooms past the two already in the field. << Mamamajo, engaging! >>

She aims her left arm once she reaches in range against the Cannon, taking a moment to aim. Then, she fires her grappling hook, aiming to close the distance.

<Pose Tracker> Anya Alstreim has posed.

The Mordred is a simple machine, but that doesn't make it any less effective. It's well suited to Anya's style of problem solving, and that's exactly the kind of problem solving she's been called on for today.

With Aurora and Shiiko both claiming their targets, Anya's choice is made easy. << I'll take the black one, then. >>

The Mordred slows down, sections of its armor popping out to reveal dozens of missile silos across its arms and legs, and it unleashes a volley of miniature missiles at the Brasta.

<Pose Tracker> Lianne Moren has posed.

Lianne had been about to respond to Orion when it became rapidly apparent she didn't have time. She whirls to face the oncoming MP Nu, but it's already firing. She manages to avoid being taken directly out of the fight, but the blow blows out part of her head cameras. That's bad. Real bad. But not fatal. Lianne feels the sudden rush of adrenaline flood her body, and rather than freak out, relaxes. The world narrows to her and her foe. But it's clear. And that's all she needs.

Darting backwards to put distance between her and her enemy, the swarm bits line up in formation and start firing towards the black mobile suit, a hail of beam fire creating a wall between herself and the foe. "I won't let you do that twice!" She shouts, though her enemy can't hear her.

<Pose Tracker> Crowe Brust has posed.

"The VX isn't exactly a standard engine, we know as much-"

After a solid few moments of well deserved dramatic pause, three blips would make their presence known in the Brasta's radar, Crowe's eyes darting over to their direction almost as soon as the blips of several missiles came into sensor range - Crowe's instincts sharpening, the Brasta's output momentarily increasing in response as the Satellicon testers came under attack, the missiles being met with a swift barrage of shots from the AX-55 Eagle; a short sigh of relief noticeable on friendly comms as he went fully weapons free.

"Seems we've got company. Crowe Brust, Brasta - Engaging!"

The moment the mech's FCS lock was lifted and its sensors caught wind of enemy forces, the light spin of its shield onto a vertical position would signal the Brasta's switch into proper combat mode; having been running ragged at the photon power labs, Crowe was more than aware of the movements, pedals and button presses needed to make this bird tweet - loading its AX-55 Eagle into its sniper rounds with a quick press of a button, the sniper barrel snapping onto the front of the gun in a swift motion as the firefly took aim

"Target locked and... FIRING!"

With a press of the trigger, the Brasta would momentarily be pushed back from the recoil of the gun - the round fired, operating closer to a railgun than a proper ballistic weapon; the first round simply wizzing past the target before a second one closed in from the opposite direction - the lock being refined momentarily before properly taking that sweet sweet potshot at the approaching target
KTS: Lianne Moren targets Aurora Dusk with Suppressive Fire!
KTS: Lianne Moren has completed their actions for the round.

<Pose Tracker> Orion Kessler has posed.

As soon as he got into combat range, the least that Orion was expecting was to get hooked right out the gate. "What the hell?" He then saw how the anchor was connected straight to another GN-X, and how it was beginning to close in fast as the wire reeled him in. A look of terror soon came to his face. "Oh shit shit shit shit shit!"

Very quickly, Orion brought his Beam Carbine up to fire at the approaching GN-X in his panic, there was barely any time to react, especially if she was closing the gap with him already. All he could do was spray and pray that he didn't take a fatal hit.

<Pose Tracker> Aurora Dusk has posed.

Seeing the Syken lose part of its main camera setup stirs something in Aurora. Something vicious. A wounded enemy is right there. Move in for the kill. Lianne's bits turn and begin firing at Aurora, and in response her own fin funnels snap off and form an array around her.

Aurora's MP Nu uses the standard fin funnel setup instead of a more generic funnel + flight pack setup like E-1's. One of the advantages of this funnel set is the ability of fin funnels to generate barriers using the same principle as I-fields: several funnels together can form a shield around an MS that deflects incoming beam fire. Some of the funnels around Aurora do this, while others point themselves at the Syken, sending a return volley at her.

Despite the beam barrier defense, Lianne does manage to put up a good enough barrage that Aurora can't carelessly rush into her blind spot and savage her up close yet, hence the funnel return fire. Lianne puts distance between them, and Aurora follows, trying to close it but warded off by the suppressive fire.

<Pose Tracker> Shiiko Sugai has posed.

Shiiko smirks as her opponent seems to panic with a spray and pray. She lifts her shield in front of her to absorb most of the hit, but it takes a bad hit. Well... We all get a little lucky sometimes, bandit. Nonetheless, Shiiko is now within her own effective range with a hooked opponent. She takes a hard turn, disappearing from sight for a moment. She spins her machine around the Cannon, drifting as she tosses her teathered beam rifles into position for her first Stigma Attack. << Let's see how you can handle this! >>

<Pose Tracker> Anya Alstreim has posed.

Anya's missiles explode in wave of explosions, and she brings one of her shields down just barely too late to stop a sniper round that punches through the smoke and ricochets off the Mordred's chassis. She frowns and flips the Hadron cannons into position as a targeting reticle lowers in front of her. She takes a moment as the Mordred's FCS locks onto the enemy mech, before firing off four black and red beams from the shoulder mounted cannons at the space where the Brasta looks to be moving to. "Stop moving, please," she mutters.

<Pose Tracker> Lianne Moren has posed.

Lianne grunts as she takes more damage, the Nu's funnels whirling around her and disrupting any effort to evade. She uses her own Bits in response, interposing some between her and the oncoming fire as shields, eating the worst of the lasers - though this will unfortunately soften her offense in return. She won't let that deter her.

She can feel something as she fights, attuned weaponry against attuned weaponry. It feels less like a battle of machines and more like they were in a personal brawl. And she's getting her teeth kicked in. Come on, she can do better than this! She has to do better than this! What's the point if she just gets brought down here?

[Isn't this fun though!] That voice in her head says, and Lianne feels herself smiling involuntarily. And having a headache.

This time, the swarm comes to the MP Nu rather than lingering around the Syken; swarming, shooting from every which way every time it tries to evade, trying to find gaps in the shield to mercilessly pierce through - an aggressive mirror of Aurora's own tactics just a moment earlier.

KTS: Lianne Moren has activated the Strike Spirit Command.

<Pose Tracker> Crowe Brust has posed.

His shot merely ricocheting off of his decided opponent's armor was definitely the sign of a middling shot - or of an excellent defense; the counterattack however certainly spoke of excellent offense instead, the haphazard attempt at dodging still causing the Brasta to get rattled with the power of a hadron cannon! Whatever that really was anyways. The Kaiju-killing machine was armed with some solid scanners even when it was barely getting to put its eye on the machine it was fighting, the thing to take into account is that the Mordred's data would sell for a solid chunk off his debt if he lived this.

"Solid shot right there... fixing this is gonna cost me a buncha money, and I don't have it in me to break the Brasta."

with a quick twist in the air and a short breath, Crowe would begin closing in on the Mordred, firing off an electrified net to momentarily surround it, followed by a pair of restraining stakes; the Brasta's engine roaring with glee as its boosters burst forth and the standard rounds are once more loaded onto the AX-55 Eagle, the machinegun being employed to riddle the target with bullets as much as it was to counteract the frankly absurd drifting maneuver Crowe had gotten himself into

"Let's use this. Advance Combat Pattern FAIZ"

This maneuvering would - this time - be finished off by employed the Brasta's bladed shield to Cut through the Mordred's plates - or attempt to anyways
KTS: Crowe Brust targets Anya Alstreim with Advance Combat Pattern - Faiz (Melee)!

<Pose Tracker> Orion Kessler has posed.

As the enemy GN-X closed in, Orion quickly braced for impact, only to realize the attack was not going to come from the front. He quickly pivoted around as best he could, as the custom GN-X pelted him with gun fire. Thankfully, he was able to raise his arms up in defense and also raise the armor's GN Field to a higher output. That said however, he had to get her off him. He remembered the anchor point being around where his shoulder was, and proceeded to use one of his beam sabers to cut it off. "Alright, now you're gonna-" Suddenly, a sharp sensation went up Orion's spine as he heard Lianne take a massive hit, not to mention the strange feeling he was getting from the Syken and that Nu something that felt a bit too familiar.

"Lianne!" For Orion, there was no time to think, no time to consider whether or not this was a stupid decision, but he decided to go for it anyway. It was them or the Sabers who were going down here. In order to avoid further assaults from the enemy GN-X, using his own unit's verniers for omnidirectional movement, he quickly flew backwards down towards sea level as he aimed the GN Cannon up at the multiple targets harassing them. "With this, I'll erase you from my scope!" The GN Cannon's barrel lit up with an orange glow before unleashing a mega particle beam, which Orion quickly traced across the sky to hit all the Gaia Sabers within his sights.

<poem>
That feeling of brawling directly resonates between the two fighters as they trade fire, evading and blocking, dancing over the water. The feeling of moving like this is... Aurora would have trouble describing it to someone else.

Lianne's funnels swarm around Aurora with a renewed vigor. She evades to the left, and to the right, and the funnels are there to hammer her. There are not weak spots in her beam barrier per se, but the barrier is generated by funnels, and it can't hold up under a sustained assault forever. The barrier dissipates under Lianne's spirited assault, and Aurora starts taking hits. Not enough to shoot her down, but a piece of shoulder gets lost here, a leg joint gets blasted there...

Up until now, Aurora was getting the impression the enemy pilot was talented, but fairly new to this. However, the bits currently swarming around her move like hers, hounding her the same way she was hounding the Syken's pilot a few seconds ago. Aurora's head twists this way and that as she fires her vulcans, trying to intercept the bits. Then, she charges forwards closer to the Syken, firing her vulcans as she goes.

<Pose Tracker> Anya Alstreim has posed.

Anya grimaces as the electrified net is fired at her. She brings up a shield to bat it away, only to miss the stakes that followed, and the accompanying volley of fire. She grits her teeth as the Mordred rocks in the air, only to see an orange particle beam swing out from her periphery unexpectedly. This, she manages to lessen the blow of, but only barely.

She can feel that familiar pressure at the back of her eyes building up. She hits a button, making sure to save a recording of the fight so far to her personal device.

The Hadron Cannons slide down in front of her, locking together as the black-red hadron energy collects. She activates the Mordred's stabilizers, lowering the Blaze Luminous to give her the best shot possible, and the Stark Hadron Cannon fires a massive dark beam across the sky at the Brasta.

<Pose Tracker> Shiiko Sugai has posed.

As Orion unleashes it's mega particle beam, Shiiko's able dodge downwards. Even if she still takes a solid hit and gets pushed back, she's still able to latch back on to his head, still keeping her in range. << Not bad, thief... Sabers, you're alright! Let's finish this fast! >> Shiiko says as she gets back into melee range with her faster machine.

She's able to spin around the bandit once more, setting herself up for another Stigma Attack. She rounds the corner with her beam rifles in place as she unleashes her saber. She's aiming to destroy that cannon, before slashing across the Cannon's body, as the rifles fire from up and down, trapping him inside.

<Pose Tracker> Lianne Moren has posed.

There's an intense pressure radiating from the enemy mobile suit. It's pounding on Lianne as the enemy comes closer. Some part of her feels like she can recognize it, though she can't say how. The Vulcans rake her, but she decides it's do or die: Focus on getting one good strike while she can. If she can damage the enemy enough it won't be able to follow when they retreat.

Deep breath in, deep breath out - the Swarm Bits nip at Aurora's heels, stinging whenever given the chance. It's easy to assume this is Lianne's main assault, but it's simply a prelude.

While the Bits lock down Aurora's MP Nu, Lianne draws up her rifle. While it's usually a rapid fire burst, instead the GN particles rapidly start to collect in the barrel, causing a bright green glow to suffuse the whole weapon. The energy at the tip builds and builds, and then the Bits suddenly clear away from Aurora. "Come on, finish it!" She shouts, as a massive blast lances out from her rifle and directly at the MP Nu. Even before the beam is done firing the radiance of the Syken's GN Drive dims from the amount of particles consumed in the strike.

<Pose Tracker> Crowe Brust has posed.

Once more, the Brasta got clipped by a hilariously powerful shot from a weapon well beyond its current specs, and to some degrees Crowe couldn't help but mutter under his breath and complain about the comparatively lacking weaponry his supposed Kaiju Buster was packing, very... Middling, very Mass Production for a unit that was still experimental; but as it stood, he just had to keep on keeping on and fight it out.
He just has this feeling. That somehow, things will work out.

"Let's go for a Point Blank Shot."

The Brasta momentarily raised its gun over the head, extending the sniper barrel once more before lowering it straight down before the Mordred - a quick ragged breath and a pull at the trigger leading to the Clutch Sniper being once more fired, and this time not wasting any ammo.

"Take This!"

<Pose Tracker> Aurora Dusk has posed.

Aurora's pressure spills out and clashes against what Lianne is pushing out. She pushes harder, and... Lianne doesn't fold. Of course she doesn't. They're locking horns. The funnels trade fire, and the Syken's bits harass Aurora as she moves to and fro. However, Aurora is gaining ground in her approach. She begins charging Lianne...

Then, a sudden increase in pressure. Something's coming! Aurora's head whips around to the Syken just in time to see an onrushing GN beam blast. Several of her funnels break off their attack and and form up on her, projecting a beam shield... but Lianne's beam shatters it and continues. The cockpit lights turn an angry red, and the exterior vents and eye cameras follow suit. Aurora jerks her arm rakers to the side, and with a burst of vernier fire, the MP Nu shifts to the right, turning a dead center strike into a glancing blow. A glancing blow with a beam like that is still nasty, and Aurora has to raise her shield to avoid losing an arm. The Nu's shield falls into the sea as a pile of molten slag, and underneath it, the arm's internal frame is exposed and sparking.

The light from the Syken dims. Aurora senses weakness. She continues charging, unsheathing the beam tonfas from her forearms and leaping on it, diving with her tonfas in an attempt to cut it to pieces. Her left arm is lagging from the previous damage, and the joint makes a screeching noise as she pushes it past its breaking point in her assault. When she's done, her left arm is hanging loose at her machine's side.

<Pose Tracker> Orion Kessler has posed.

Seeing how many targets he hit, Orion became satisfied only for him to get hooked again, this time with the anchor damaging his main sensor. With that knocked out, Orion had to rely on his sub sensors, but he knew he wasn't going to escape this next assault from the GN-X unscathed, so he decided to pull off yet another crazy stunt. He simply pulled the anchor out of his head unit and charged the enemy GN-X, using the anchor as a way to guide him to the target as bits and pieces of armor were shot off from his unit wholesale. Certainly that was something none of them were expecting, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

As he closed in, he pulled the GN-X in and gave them a punch right to their own sensors, he then quickly backed away and once again charged up his cannon. While his main screen was practically unable to aim, he still had one thing left to hit the GN-X with. He dropped his sniper scope from the top of his cockpit and aimed it at the GN-X. "Go sleep with the fishes." He fired a powerful shot from his GN Cannon, aiming it at center mass to make the attack hit as much as possible.

<Pose Tracker> Anya Alstreim has posed.

As a rifle is lowered at the Mordred for another shot, and Anya realizes the Hadron cannons can't be brought up in time to block, she tries to dodge out of the way. Instead, the rifle bullet hits one of the cannons squarely, sending the Mordred spinning briefly.

For a moment, the Mordred seems to drift, before the stabilizers shut off, and its own float system comes back online, along with the Blaze Luminous. The Mordred spins around to face Crowe again, this time dashing closer, in stark contrast to its previous fighting style, as the remaining Hadron cannon tracks the Brasta and fires a single burst directly in its path.

<Pose Tracker> Shiiko Sugai has posed.

Shiiko is caught out of position, and barely gets to bring her shield back up in time to protect her cockpit. It's a strong hit that pushes her back down once more, but they are both on their respective last legs. The red lights in her cockpit blares with warnings, but she's faster on the draw. She just can't miss. No grappling hook is needed. She charges with her beam saber, aiming to disable this machine. << It's too late! I got you! >>

<Pose Tracker> Crowe Brust has posed.

One more attack, this time far closer than the rest and with a murderous intent that bordered on the inhuman, and yet something that Crowe's felt before from far worse people; and thus with a quick pop of the boosters and an unsystematic maneuver, the Brasta wove through the Hadron shot as if the gods themselves wanted him to succeed. And so with a moment of distance mad, the mech's eyes would momentarily shine a burning orange - even as his comrade was cornered a couple meters away and the fight intensified, Crowe simply broadcast his voice out for a second-

In life, you gotta understand.

The Brasta would thus begin charging at the Mordred with a simillar song and dance to before - a net and stakes restricting its movement, a quick drift around pelting the machine with bullets as far as they'd fit; yet this time the Brasta would back off momentarily, firing off the bunker shield and letting it punch against the armor before slotting in the sniper module once more.

"You've got JUST ONE CHANCE!"

And thus a singular shot would be fired, aiming at the spot between the Mordred's cockpit block and head - not meaning to kill the pilot, yet not trusting his aim to disable the camera.

<Pose Tracker> Lianne Moren has posed.

Lianne feels the adrenaline flush from her body as the MP Nu manages to make it through - not unscathed, but more than intact enough to finish the fight. She's given it what she's got, but the cockpit lights are blinking red. Not that she's giving up, she isn't the type, but she can feel the goal shift from 'bring down the enemy' to 'escape alive'. But the MP Nu is too fast, coming in while the Syken is still recharging from it's big blast.

One of the Tonfas crunches into the Syken's arm, and another breaks a pair of Bits as they guard the cockpit. She can't evade in time before the next-

[Now.] Without really consciously thinking about what she's doing, Lianne jerks the controls. The Syken moves in that ominous way that GN Drives do, as if the laws of physics need not apply - and the disorientation of that moment lets it land a kick into the MP Nu's already damaged arm, crushing it and forcing the thing away - and giving enough breathing space for the Syken to begin to retreat.

Lianne comes back to herself as she's already pulling away. "Next time, Gundam Syken and I will make sure to give you a better fight!" she calls while they're close enough to speak. This was a wakeup call; while Gundams have an intimidating reputation, the Celestial Being models aren't the bleeding edge they once were - she can't just rely on the mech, she needs to gain the experience to use it to it's fullest.

<Pose Tracker> Anya Alstreim has posed.

Again, that electric net. This time, the Mordred reacts quicker. The net manages to catch the Knightmare, but this time its pilot is already ready for the followups, spinning to brace itself against the onslaught of bullets. This time, when a shot comes in, the Mordred is ready -- the bullet, on a course to disable the Mech, just barely misses, crushing a portion of the Mordred's head, but not doing quite enough damage to disable it.

In response, the Mordred fires a series of Hadron shots - this time, rather than firing all at once, they fire slightly staggered, trying to trap the Brasta into evading into danger.

<Pose Tracker> Orion Kessler has posed.

He managed to land a shot, but sadly it seemed that it wasn't enough. He saw the enemy GN-X close in past the smoke, he tried to dodge but he never was the most nimble in close quarters and he summarily paid the price. The beam saber tore through one of the major GN Particle control clavicles and the arm unit. It was safe to say that he had bought enough time for the Ptolemy to disengage. Given how close they were to the water's edge and the inability for some friendly units to follow him there, he used his beam saber to slash close to the enemy's waist to make them back off before he dove into the water in order to escape.

"Damnit... next time I'll get you." He says as he makes his ways back to the Ptolemy, trying to stay close to Lianne as she makes her retreat as well.

<Pose Tracker> Aurora Dusk has posed.

Lianne isn't the only one feeling the rush of adrenaline. Spurred on by the rush of HADES, Aurora lets the satisfying feeling of metal giving way under blade reverberate up her machine's arms, through the psychoframe and into her as she begins tearing the Syken to pieces.

Then, something shifts. The Syken bursts with pressure as it moves the way GN drive machines do, the way you can't really replicate with standard thrusters. Suddenly, the leg is somewhere Aurora wasn't expecting it to be, and her damaged arm's joint makes a sickening crunch as she's shoved away from the retreating Gundam.

Lianne's taunt only half-registers as Aurora rubs her temples. HADES is always at least a little bit of a headache to use, but there's something else, too. That on-rushing feeling from the Syken... Aurora ponders it as she catches her left arm with her right before it can fall off into the sea below.

With the enemy looking firmly routed, and the pursuing team looking beaten up, it doesn't seem to Aurora like the chase will be continuing. They chased the Satellicon team away, but they didn't actually manage to down any of them, and the Ptolemy is notoriously hard to catch. Best to lick their wounds and count this as a victory.

        "...Syken..."

<Pose Tracker> Crowe Brust has posed.

Things had been going so well, but just one, singular trip up was all it took to put the Brasta into a state where it was Certainly unable to fight anymore, the AX-55 on its hand needing to be discarded - thrown away before the currently loaded cartridge burst in the mech's hand; but even as the alarms blared in the cockpit and Crowe momentarily struggled with retaining his consciousness while careening through the sky, the machine itself simply... Pulsed. The VX so slightly visible behind that oddly strong green transparent cover, the orange glimpse on the Brasta's eyes leaking through the mech for a second as it simply... Snapped onto its hovering stance - even if upside down. Even if it couldn't fight, the "machine" refused to fight, the pilot's will refused to die.

"Close game alright. Good shots, Goodbye."

And then the Brasta began speeding up ever so slightly, returning home as it continued shining, keeping itself together quite literally through the force of sheer fucking will; not a pointed will, but enough to put that certain something's eye once more onto the Britannian fool who took the reins.

<Pose Tracker> Shiiko Sugai has posed.

Seeing her saber tear into that Cannon makes Shiiko grin. She dodges the slash, and smiles further she sees the enemy machine disappear into the water. The Sabers have taken enough damage that they can't completely chase down the Sat members, but this is still a fantastic victory at a time the Sabers desperately needs victories.

<< Well done, everyone. Though we didn't score any kills, we've made them hurt. You've made NUNE proud today. >> She begins leaving back to the Formidable. << Gaia Sabers, RTB! >>
