An S-Type Device is an early form of man-machine interface first seen around 0074, building on concepts used in the B-Type Device.
An S-Type Device allows the user to receive sensor data and machine status readouts in an intuitive, comprehensible form directly in the brain.
S-Type Devices were later found to be part of a conspiracy by science criminal and super-terrorist Morgan Bernard, created in hopes of offering him a form of immortality through the spread of his consciousness as memory data on the same protocol.
