From a young age, Sanary Rondel has always been enamored with the idea of piloting big robots to save humanity from anything that would destroy it, and witnessing multiple potential human extinction events eventually led her to pursuing that dream and joining NERV as a construction worker. On the surface, she's a reliable employee that handles construction equipment and interpersonal conflicts with equal ease, and she follows and completes work orders without complaining about things like difficulty or safety regulations. Beneath that surface, however, is someone that doesn't know a lot about herself while hiding what she does. Nobody ever told her she was a Psychodriver, so she's always assumed she was just really good at handling small-for-human objects with a mecha's hands. Nobody ever told her that her mom's not actually human, but she just happens to really like talking about her 'cursed bloodline' while operating under a pen name to maintain a distance from her real hobbies and questionable (but profitable) artwork. It's certainly pushed her into being an overachiever, but hidden under the guise of someone far more aloof about work than she really is.
