A mobile doll is a slightly euphemistic term for full-sized, automated mobile weapons. Mobile dolls are a technology in their infancy, with several minor technical problems standing between the theory and deployment stages.
The X-9 Ghost, an early unmanned fighter craft from the late 0080s, saw some success in low-Minovsky-density areas like Macross City, but its solutions to common issues with mobile dolls failed to hold up in Minovsky warfare.
