Armored Trooper VOTOMs

1983's Armored Trooper VOTOMs spawned a long-running metaseries surrounding the adventures of Chirico Cuvie, a soldier in the far-off Astragius Galaxy who's forced to run from his superiors after a suspicious mission leads to him being branded a traitor. VOTOMs is one of the earliest examples of the 'Real Robot' genre after Gundam, and one of the first to primarily follow characters from a far-off galaxy.

Armored Trooper VOTOMs

At the end of a hundred-year war between two mighty forces in space, Chirico Cuvie finds himself hunted by the military as well as criminals. He seeks the truth behind that mission, as well as its target: a mysterious woman.

As he sorts through the mysteries he encounters, he discovers a galaxywide conspiracy forged by 'God' himself.

Integration Notes

Overview

  • As of this writing, Chirico has effectively completed the Uoodo arc more or less as-canon. His next stop, however, has turned into a lengthy detour. He finds himself on Neo-Britannia, sitting as an ocean on Terra; there, he and his companions ended up pursued by Angela Balzac and then drawn into a multi-pronged battle involving System Security, Joe Lutz, Van, Neo-Britannian forces, and Angela Balzac (now on the same side). He was forced to retreat alongside Angela and Van, subsequently finding his way to Pentagona while fleeing Gilgamesh Confederation forces.
  • Other events prior to this point happen more or less as-canon.

World

  • We aren't dealing much with VOTOMs's own setting yet, due to the characters coming here!
  • However, Quent is a little different in ways that you'll see in Phase 3.
  • Jijirium, Permet, and G-ER Fluid are all different states of the same matter.

Organizations

  • The Gilgamesh Confederation and Balarant Union exist in more or less their as-canon states.
  • The Secret Society from VOTOMs exists in more or less its canonical state. System Security members are afforded Autonomous Action Licenses similar to those afforded to Graham Aker/Mr. Bushido of Anno Domini Gundam.
  • Chirico Cuvie and pals are associated with Daba Myroad's rebellion, having bumbled into each other while mutually fleeing enemy fire.
