A recent poll conducted by the United Emirates of Orb has revealed that the nation's approval of the Gaia Sabers (and the greater NUNE apparatus by extension) has improved at an unprecedented rate. Tensions have been high in the region for quite some time now, but came to a head after a Gaia Sabers strategic intervention against the non-NUNE paramilitary organization 'Terminal' strayed close to Orb's territorial waters. The resulting conflict rapidly escalated what pundits have described as 'the largest battle on the Earth's surface since the turn of the century', to the general annoyance of non-pundits.
Public Relations spokespeople for the Seiran family, the closest of Orb's noble houses to the NUNE government, have described this shift in public opinion as 'inevitable, and congratulated the people of Orb on 'finally coming to their senses'. Some critics claim that to strengthen diplomatic ties with the Gaia Sabers--or worse, to allow Orb itself to be drawn into their ongoing scuffle against the SAL--would directly contrary to the spirit and ideals of the nation, and more directly against the beliefs espoused by still-absent Chief Representative Athha; but such concerns seem to matter little to the people on the ground.
The attitudes on the streets have changed significantly, to the point that many journalists on the ground have expressed disbelief that public opinion could have changed so rapidly. To-Witter users had this to say:

Some speculative links have drawn between Orb's sudden change of heart and the recent performance by the so-called 'Angel of Peace', Lilium Valerie, on Seiran-owned property, but most people seem to be in agreement that it's unrelated. After all, how could a simple musical performance have had such a drastic effect..?
