       24 May 0100
On this day, the galaxy is brought to a standstill as countless Vajra fold out above cities and colonies all throughout colonized space. There was no warning, no reason. Communications are met with an ominous silence. It's as if the swarm of creatures are the blade of a guillotine just waiting to fall.
But within just minutes of their appearance, the Vajra soon turn away from the worlds they threaten and fold away once more. And it's not just the new arrivals either. Everywhere in the galaxy, Vajra can be seen abandoning their nests. Massive fleets, once dormant beneath the grounds of numerous planets, suddenly rise up only to fold away. On Earth, the lights of the Vajra fold portals can be seen from practically everywhere as every last one of them proceeds to leave the Earth Sphere. Not even a single egg is left behind as they depart.
For many, the departure of the Vajra from the galaxy is quite the mystery. At least until the events of the final battle in orbit of the Vajra homeworld become commonly known.

Having landed on the planet soon to be known as Vajra Prime, the 'Frontier' 55th Long Distance Colony Fleet finally accomplishes its multi-decade mission to colonize a new world.
Former President Leon Mishima is found guilty of his crimes and sentenced to life imprisonment. However, before he can even start his long stint in prison, the former president--who had risen to power via the assassination of President Howard Glass--is himself assassinated by experienced agents. Frontier authorities suspect a former associate of Mishima's wanted to silence him before he could reveal too much about his connections to others. However, a lack of evidence and leads means the identity of the one behind this is likely to remain unknown.
With the Island One colony ship as its capital, the new colony on Vajra Prime quickly begins to expand. Its future is bright, given the vast quantities of fold ore available in the orbital ring left behind by the Vajra.

With President Mishima's conviction, the private military company, Strategic Military Services (SMS), is cleared of all charges against them. The Macross Quarter, with its experimental fold drive, takes on the charge of returning all those who wish to Earth. Though whether it will stay, or return to take on the duty of protecting the new colony, remains to be seen.

The VTX Union is able to utilize the large amounts of data gathered about Sheryl's condition to come up with a medicine capable of halting the progress of the V-Type Infection.
While it is unfortunately a practical impossibility to recreate the medical miracle that Ranka performed to cure Sheryl's infection, the medicine proves effective in saving the lives of the many people that had become infected during the Vajra attacks in the Earth Sphere.
Though the long term effects of suppressing the Vajra microbes quietly inhabiting people have yet to be seen.

Alto Saotome is officially discharged from his service in the Frontier Defense Fleet, quickly re-signing his contract with SMS. However, he does not go on the journey back to Earth with the Macross Quarter. Instead he decides to stay on Vajra Prime, taking a well needed rest after the end of the Vajra war. While also remaining on standby to defend the colony should it be needed.

While some have called for the trial of Ranka Lee given her betrayal of humanity, no charges are filed, indeed the numerous witnesses are enough that the public knows right away that she was a victim, and her popularity bounced right back just in time for her to announce both the return of her former manager, Elmo Kridanik, and a hiatus towards performing in the Earthsphere. Instead, she'll be taking her own break on Vajra Prime in order to spend time with the people she loves. There is little need for speculation amongst her fans whom she means, given /other/ facets of eyewitness reports.

With Sheryl Nome's recovery from her fatal condition, it's been announced that she fully intends on returning to her music career. An offer has been extended to Sagiri Sakurai of the VTX Union to take up the mantle of her manager, one that Ms. Sakurai has readily accepted along with the sign-up of Sheryl's former/once-again bodyguard, Brera Sterne. The new contract will open with an EP of the songs released during Sheryl's time as the "Songstress of Despair," and then together, they'll get right to work on a new album--
--/after/ Sheryl enjoys a long, richly deserved break on Vajra Prime with a certain pair of sweethearts, both to give her time for her body to mend the damage it's sustained during her long infection... and to enjoy the end of the triangle, and the start of a circle.
