- Summary: Two remnants of Celestial Being unite and galvanize their sense of purpose.
<Pose Tracker> Tieria Erde has posed.
Tieria taps their foot at the corner, checking their watch. Some may have thought that the bustling streets of Tokyo would be ill-suited for meeting between terrorists, but Tieria often found value in hiding in plain sight, so to speak. Crowds paid surprisingly little attention to the people around them, whereas two people on their own stood out like a sore thumb.
They sigh and brush their long hair behind their shoulder. Meeting another member of Celestial Being so long after the organization had been destroyed... They had to admit, it brought up a tinge of nostalgia. But...
"Ugh, they're late."
<Pose Tracker> Orion Kessler has posed.
It was a bit of a while before Tieria managed to see someone in the crowds jogging in their direction, the young man with short almost lavender blue hair as well as glasses of his own, who was frantically looking around for his contact. Where did they say to meet in the message? They said around here, right? He hoped he had some time to go around and have a look at certain things in this area, but sadly it seemed he got here a little too late in comparison to the punctual Tieria.
The man soon spotted the specs and long hair of their contact, making a bit of a mad dash in order to save face on being punctual, but that period has long since passed, that was for certain. Now panting and out of breath from his constant running, he rested one arm on his knee, with the other knee being used as a support by his hand.
"I'm... Haa... Haa... So so sorry. I got completely lost in the station, that thing was just an absolute maze."
<Pose Tracker> Tieria Erde has posed.
Tieria crosses their arms and looks down at the man.
He was definitely one of them. Just as they were. This was definitely nostalgic.
They certainly did have a scold stashed in the back of their pocket for cases of tardiness, but they decide against it. Lockon would just have to get it double next time. They wait for Orion to catch his breath and let out another sigh.
"It's fine. I wasn't waiting for long. I've had targets that kept me in a foxhole for hours." And true to Tieria's thoughts, the offhand mention of being holed up in a sniper's nest didn't draw a single eye.
<Pose Tracker> Orion Kessler has posed.
As the young man slowly began to recover from his little sprint, he stood up fully to face their new ally, well if this screening was successful anyhow. It was not easy tracking down how to contact Celestial Being, but he managed to do it on his lonesome, somehow anyways. But regardless, Tieria now had a better view of the man's attire, a black leather jacket with a white T-Shirt underneath, accompanied by some brown pants and white rubber shoes. To anyone who even manages to glare at him, the man before Tieria looked like your average high school senior or college freshman. But of course, both of them knew better.
"Regardless, I'm still very sorry about this. I shouldn't have been late to begin with, should've just left early." The man looked at Tieria a bit awkwardly and began to realize he never asked for names, or gave a proper introduction for that matter.
Orion cleared his throat, held out his hand, and began to speak in an almost rehearsed manner, trying not to make an absolute fool of himself. "Orion Kessler, it's uhh, nice to meet you... uhhh crap... I didn't catch your name in the message I believe?"
Aaaand there it goes, way to go with that one, champ.
<Pose Tracker> Tieria Erde has posed.
"Tieria Erde. Gundam Meister of the Ptolemaios."
They regard the stretched out hand for a second, then take it. They were in their usual garb of pink sweater blouse and leggings, long purple hair draped over their shoulder.
"Plans go awry all the time. The ability to adapt separates the living from the dead on the battlefield. Keep that in mind."
Another sigh.
"And check a station map beforehand."
<Pose Tracker> Orion Kessler has posed.
After the firm shake and proper introductions finally out of the way, they were now finally able to begin, though of course not without some form of scolding. "I will, I will. The whole metro system is just amazing and confusing at the same time, I love it and I hate it. Though I think I'll love it more given some time."
He then looked around at the crowds of people walking around, it was not exactly an ideal place to continue discussion on joining what was essentially a terrorist group in the eyes of the public. But he of course knew better than that, in more ways than one.
"I assume you've got a more discreet spot in mind for the rest of our conversation? Doubt anyone here will appreciate our kind of talk."
<Pose Tracker> Tieria Erde has posed.
"Nobody's listening. But if you insist, there's a park nearby that's usually empty. Follow me."
Without even waiting for a response, they begin to head down the street, turning a couple corners until they come to a stop at... well, they called it a park, but it seemed more like a small empty lot with a couple of benches and vending machines. A bit out of the way, there wasn't as much foot traffic in the area as the street they were on.
Tieria sits down on one of the benches, crossing their legs and looking over at Orion. "This better?"
<Pose Tracker> Orion Kessler has posed.
After following Tieria to the small "park", Orion looked around and nodded to Tieria's question before awkwardly sitting down, fumbling a little with the seat's backrest before properly sitting next to Tieria. Though proper is likely not the right word, given he was twiddling with his thumbs and lightly tapping his foot on the ground in nervous anticipation of the questions to be asked.
Despite how the rest of the world views Celestial Being, Orion was very aware of their MO, at least from what Aeolia Schoenberg's announcement was able to tell him all that time ago. They foughts for peace through armed interventions, striking down those who might abuse their powers and eradicating conflict whereever they find it. He hoped that they had the potential to assist him in his own purposes, in more ways than one. After all, someone had to keep Britannia in check, even if it was with one of the symbols that stood in defiance to their very ideals, the GN-X. But it was a tool to Orion, not something to be wielded in a show of excessive oppression.
Though the quiet was beginning to get to him, and Orion decided to finally speak up again. "So uhhh... got any questions for me?"
<Pose Tracker> Tieria Erde has posed.
Tieria crosses their arms and looks up, wondering for a second. Most questions they might have had prepared had slipped their mind in the ensuing years. But they supposed there was one obvious question that begged asking.
"I would say my main question is... what exactly have you been up to since Celestial Being was dissolved?"
<Pose Tracker> Orion Kessler has posed.
Orion takes a moment to consider their response, what exactly was he doing since that time? Thankfully the answer came very soon, right before he even got close to adjusting his glasses.
"Well, when Celestial Being was disbanded for a while, I was mostly trying to think about what I can do for others, the world as we knew it was changing. Whether it was because of you guys or something else, the world was changing. Some people get swept up by change, some don't survive, even Britannian citizens in their home country."
Orion crossed one of his legs on top of the other's knee, all the while leaning back onto the bench as he looked up into the sky.
"I saw that the people who were supposed to protect us, had decided that they'd bring their little war on terror to some innocent's home. And then, I made my own choice, that's when I found you guys had come back, and took it as a sign to make my own moves. Somehow managed to steal a GN-X, and here we are."
Orion then slowly looked back down and turned his head to Tieria, and gave them a bit of a somewhat cocky smile. "So, any other questions?"
<Pose Tracker> Tieria Erde has posed.
"Hm, that sounds about right for the people in power. We on the Ptolemy managed to keep our crew and our Gundams, and we've been continuing the mission with Satellicon. Our resources aren't what they used to be, and we still have to lay relatively low, but we've been doing what we can."
They glance over at Orion, meeting his smile with a cold glare.
"And I suppose the question that naturally follows is what you plan on doing next."
<Pose Tracker> Orion Kessler has posed.
In response to Tieria's next question, Orion looked up again and closed his eyes to think with a bit of a squint visible on his forehead. He had not completely thought that out actually, he thought it was going to be all fine once he joined Satellicom. Though, that didn't account for whether he managed to get in or not, so he might as well answer for both.
"Well... let's see." Orion looked back at Tieria once again, his face more neutral in appearance but still sporting a slight upward curve on his mouth. "If I do manage to join you guys, I will do my best to assist in your armed interventions, though as you yourself said, you've been mostly laying low. Finding you guys wasn't easy after all, was a challenge of its own. So, to alleviate some problems involved with that, I can be your scout out in the field."
Orion then looked straight, his head turning to the point where the vending machines were, he simply stared there, using it as a way to focus his mind a little so that he would not just be staring right into Tieria like they were at that moment.
"But if I don't get accepted, or regardless, I suppose my personal objective would be to... Mmmmm... Carry out my duty in another way, that still follows your vision. That's what my friends would have wanted me to do, were they still here." He spoke the last sentence as if he had just missed the ghosts flying past his vision, a slight lack of empathy towards the dead, though there was still a mournful tone in his voice.
<Pose Tracker> Tieria Erde has posed.
Tieria closes their eyes and lets out a soft sigh. "Well, we can certainly use all the help we can get. I suppose we can make use of your services for at least a bit. Especially with a GN-X."
They stand up and stretch their arms, turning to look down at Orion.
"But I'll be watching and judging. Just to see if you're REALLY fit to carry on our mission." Tieria's lips curl into a smile that may have been more offputting than their glare.
<Pose Tracker> Orion Kessler has posed.
Orion's smile returned to his face as he got some official confirmation from Tieria that he was going to be joining them. There was clearly a silent celebration going on behind those eyes as he turned back to Tieria.
"I won't let you down, I'll make sure of it!" But now... only one other question remained now in Orions head, that caused his expression to go blank for a moment. "So uhhh... when do I start?"
<Pose Tracker> Tieria Erde has posed.
"Why, right now, of course. A member of Celestial Being must dedicate their entire life to the mission."
They chuckle and shrug.
"But don't worry, we'll reach out when we need you."
<Pose Tracker> Orion Kessler has posed.
Orion then stood at attention at a moment's notice, a reaction of shock to true verbal confirmation, especially given the earlier comment being one of slight sarcasm he assumed.
"Oh, well the works with me then. Suppose I gotta keep staying where I'm at for now. Guess this is the probationary phase, huh? Well then in honor of my new senior, why don't I get you a drink or a meal?"
<Pose Tracker> Tieria Erde has posed.
"Well, aren't you the gentleman? How could I refuse?"
