E-Carbon

Supercarbons are a building material predominantly used in space colonies and the Orbital Ring. Supercarbons vary slightly from application to application, but have great strength against most things besides beam weaponry. Due to the ubiquity of beam weapons in modern combat, various titanium-based composites are more popular as armor for mobile weapons, though Tactical Strike Fighters, modern Republic of East Asia gear, and One Year War-era Zeon gear still use supercarbon armor.
