E-Carbon

E-Carbons are a building material predominantly used in space colonies and the Orbital Ring. Their compositions may vary, and some are technically steels. E-carbons vary slightly from application to application, but have great strength against most things besides beam weaponry. Due to the ubiquity of beam weapons in modern combat, various titanium-based composites are more popular as armor for mobile weapons, though modern Republic of East Asia gear and One Year War-era Zeon gear still use e-carbon armor.
