Japanium

A novel material discovered by Juzo Kabuto during an exploration of a cave system beneath Mt. Fuji. Japanium has numerous properties that make it well-suited to mobile weapon development, including extreme temperature resistance, ability to generate Photon Power, and -- when alloyed -- immense general toughness. The Photon Research Institute was founded to explore the properties of Japanium.
