A pilot who has already made her name in the wanzer gladiatorial arenas of Huffman Island. After vanishing from the arena in 0096, she has been seen in the company of the Black Knights. Qivi is a wanzer prodigy, especially in one-on-one or small group 'team' combat - the kinds of matches she might find in the arenas - but has limited experience with strategic planning. Despite this she sometimes finds it hard to follow the lead of her fellow Black Knights - while she fights in the resistance for the independence of Free Japan, and has serious issues with aspects of the Federation, she is not comfortable with certain kinds of acts of terrorism and is honestly more comfortable with a more directly military opposition. She is rough around the edges and quick to solve problems (or cause them) with her fists regardless. Qivi does not talk about her history before she became a wanzer gladiator - she doesn't even use a family name - which has led to theories ranging from the unlikely to the prosaic. The truth is somehow both more and less outlandish than the stories: her single mother is a Zentradi serving in the Federation military, and her upbringing unusual because of it, leaving her sometimes feeling isolated from or different from her peers.
