Akito Tenkawa hasn't had an easy life. Between the mysterious death of his parents and surviving the Jovian invasion of Mars, he has struggled to survive in the world as a part time chef. This all changed when he ran into his childhood friend and ended up piloting to defend her battleship, the Nadesico. Now he has to face his fears and fight back against the Jovians in order to defend his new friends from danger. When he isn't doing that, Akito is rediscovering his childhood love of mecha anime such as Gekiganger and trying to avoid anyone getting the wrong idea about his kind approachableness.
