The Izumo-class battleship 'Uzume' is of Orb make, originally produced by Morgeonroete for the Orb National Defense Force. She's one of the ships that Terminal acquired from Orb during a period of a good relations, and her technology is put to good use under Captain Enba Rezza. The Uzume is equipped with modified Zentradi technology to work well with other ships of the Magallanica Defense Force, but her primary armament is Orb-homemade: the Lohengrin Positron Blaster Cannons. Other weapons include retractable beam cannons, missile launchers, and physical CIWS, and she's capable of carrying a large number of mobile suits. While the ship is theoretically capable of splitting into modules, the Uzume rarely does, making use of other technology to get into and out of orbit.

Once executive officer to Eight Orlodhari on the 'Ra Mari' and 'Ra Mari II', Enba Rezza has since assumed their own command. They are calm and collected, the ideal officer in many respects--but their spymaster ways look different in an active Captain. They look three steps ahead, and don't say much until they reach the fourth. Their leadership skills are sharp, but they focus more on strategy and tactics than charisma. While they come from Earth, they see no issue with an organization primarily concerned with Space, and indeed would argue that a holistic approach to the Earth Sphere is necessary to succeed in the modern world. Talk of a 'Blue Earth' annd other arguments like it stem from emotion too much for Enba's sake. Having stepped out from behind the curtain, they have adapted to being open authority, and with the assistance of their own XO Licia Chovan, they aim to make the Izumo-class 'Uzume' a major asset to Magallanica and Terminal.

Energetic and warm, Licia Chovan easily conceals a thoughtful and contemplative nature with a cheerful demeanor. While for a while she was used to being disliked--and can still fall back on retreating kinds of behavior--the time since she was a pilot for Neo Zeon seems a lot longer ago now, and gives her a lot less trouble in the Magallanica Defense Force than it did in Londo Bell and the Federation. She doesn't have to deal with NUNE as much in her personal life--and she prefers it that way. She's a talented pilot in a mobile suit or at the helm of a ship, and she believes not just in her own ideals anymore but her friend the Admiral Orlodhari's. A better future for Zeon and the Earth Sphere seems to be on the horizon, and she believes that with her Captain Rezza, she can help to seize it.

Madoran Uehara is a son of Orb, but his life has taken him all over the Earth Sphere, eventually to Magallanica. The trait he's most known for is his encyclopedic knowledge of weaponry, from the smallest beam pistol to the cannons on a battleship--and the fact that he's very willing to share that knowledge. He's the sort of man who complains about an unrealistic sci-fi movie but enjoys it anyway. He's also the Weapons Officer aboard the MDF battleship 'Uzume', where he's landed after his time in the Three Ships Alliance since the failed invasion of Orb. Loyal but mouthy, Lieutenant Uehara is an asset to his crew.

The Uzume is a fairly typical ship of its type, though with a handpicked crew from the former XO of the flagship. It lacks a lot of the conveniences the Ra Mari II takes for granted, such as very large cabins and artificial gravity, but has very advanced weaponry and defensive systems. It also has a heavily upgraded sensor suite and is suitable to missions involving detailed surveys.
Uniform
The Magallanica Defense Force Uniform consists of a dark teal jacket with black trousers, with a deep pink undershirt. On the left sleeve is the spiral of Magallanica; on the left breast is a rank insignia, as well as a few other places. Certain ranks and positions have variants on this uniform; for example, pilots might look different, or Eight Orlodhari's Admiral uniform is formal and distinct.
