The standard currency in neutral colonies, including Side 6. While it started as Side 6's exclusive currency, several other neutral colonies have signed on to a formal currency union or added the cool to the list of currencies in which they'll informally transact.
Prices in cools can be rendered with a C with two slashes through it in the same manner as the Costa Rican colon, as in ₡540.
Cools are roughly equivalent in purchasing power to 8 Japanese yen. Cools do not decimalize.
