Hyte and Cool

The standard currency in neutral colonies, including Side 6. While it started as Side 6's exclusive currency, several other neutral colonies have signed on to a formal currency union or added the hyte and cool to the list of currencies in which they'll informally transact.

Prices in hytes and cools can be rendered with a C with two slashes through it in the same manner as the Costa Rican colon. Hytes subdivide into cools; a price in hytes and cools will be rendered ₡3.05.

A hyte is 100 cools, and cools are roughly equivalent in purchasing power to 8 Japanese yen in real life.
