A civilization that existed in the Sol system prior to, or possibly concurrent with, humanity. It predates the recording of history in currently-intelligible formats by the population of the Earth Sphere, hence the name.
It is generally agreed that the prehistoric Martian super-civilization managed to colonize many non-Earth planets in the Sol system, as ruins in its architectural style were glimpsed by George Glenn's exploration mission.
Most scholars agree that the prehistoric Martian super-civilization is distinct from the Protoculture, the Mycenae Empire, and the Supervision Army, though the consensus on this matter is a shaky one.
