One of this era's many Vultures, the legacy of Zeon has hounded Ennil's life in many ways. Emotionally sensitive and reflexively aggressive, a lifetime of fighting has only left her with a troubling past and an uncertain future, and with difficulty relating to others that drives her to impulsive, possessive behavior when her limits are stressed.

Nonetheless, an earnest desire to see an end to this painful era urges her forward... for better or worse.

Background

Ennil El was born on Earth, and moved to a cold, sleepy corner of Zaftra when her father, Nada El, abandoned Zeon's forces during the December offensive, uncomfortable with their escalating tactics. For five years, Ennil lived a comfortable life... until age 9, where her father's allegiances were uncovered in the aftermath of Operation Stardust. Nada El was killed in the ensuing altercation, and Ennil found herself surviving in Zeon remnant camps across the globe, picking up an aptitude for both civilian and Mobile Suit mechanics in those sparse conditions.

A few years later, during the First Neo Zeon War, that same aptitude caught the attention of officer Glemy Toto during his ascendancy. Brought on board as a mobile suit salvage expert, the young Ennil El was brought into space, and into war, for the first time. Eventually rejected as a frontline pilot candidate due to not expressing Newtype aptitudes, she joined the Sandra's support staff and assisted with maintaining and implementing psycommu systems on behalf of Glemy's chosen soldiers... and in the process, encountered Elpeo Puru and Leina Ashta during the latter's stay on Axis. As the war continued to escalate, Ennil was put to work on the last project she would undertake on behalf of Zeon - the restoration of the damaged Psycho Gundam Mk-II.

The horror of Dublin and the friends lost in the process were the last straw for her, and she abandoned Glemy's cause and became an unaffiliated Vulture, albeit one with significant Zeon ties and sympathies. The years since have not increased her fondness for the world, or done much to lessen her profound isolation.

After a botched rescue attempt to free Loni Garvey from the control of Triple Zero, Ennil El herself became an agent of Cosmic Will, acting towards its imperative to bring an end to all sentient life. She has also become embroiled in the conflict over Tsutsujidai... ironically, aligning herself with Gridman and his support agents in the hopes of freeing Akane Shinjo from a similarly dire fate. The irony is not lost on her, and indeed hangs over a great deal of her waking moments.

Resources

A very talented Vulture, Ennil El is not notably wealthy, but only because of the high cost of doing business in a field that involves a lot of Mobile Suit resupply. Still, she doesn't lack for financial comfort, at least any time business is good - and the current era of war certainly provides plenty of business. She has significant engineering qualifications, though very few of them are formally recognized.

As an orphan of Zeon who's spent a good portion of her life among their remnant movements on Earth, Ennil has easy access to a wide variety of boltholes and a network of helpful, if resource-strapped contacts.

After a recent encounter, Ennil El has joined the Oath over Omega, and shows many of the superhuman capabilities shared by the Ruin Disciples.
