Steel Jeeg

Generally regarded as the first "Super Robot" of the modern era, created in the 0040s. Steel Jeeg was piloted by Hiroshi Shiba, a Japanese cyborg, to fight the Great Jama Empire. Jeeg was lost to the Kyushu Zone's appearance.

Steel Jeeg's specifications are a topic of considerable interest to most modern roboticists; while the power draw requirements of the design were astronomical at the time and could only be achieved with the Bronze Bell, modern powerplants are coming close to being able to support similar designs. Build Base's newest Super Robot, Kotetsu Jeeg, uses a very similar design with modest engineering changes.
