Soji Murakumo doesn't outwardly appear to be a man who's lost a lot, based on his wisecracking smile and laid back demeanor. Taught loss from a young age during the era of the Titans and having it hammered in as a lesson as an adult soldier during Axis Shock, his commission has been sold to the Dreisstrager by the Federation. With his 'natural' intuition as well as the help of his black-box Mobile Suit and the mysterious AI aboard it, he intends to make the world a more peaceful place through action and example.
Background
Soji Murakumo was raised on 30 Bunch, conveniently off-colony when the Titans gassed it while he was a child. At age of enlistment, he joined the Federation, joining the 25th Division. Axis Shock took the lives of his squad, leaving him the only survivor.
His commission has been sold to the Dreisstrager and Nergal Heavy Industries - something he's quite proud of.

Soji possesses a 'natural' intuition that makes him more in tune with others than the normal person. He also possesses a black box mobile suit with a possible AI, the creator of the mobile suit VangRay previously thought to be the Federation but now unknown.
