Luio & Co

Based out of the OCU autonomous island territory of New Hong Kong, Luio & Co is one of the top trading magnates in the Earthsphere. Catering to practically every major territory on Earth and several elsewhere, with multiple Federation and independent contracts, they are a powerhouse economically and are predicted to stay such for years to come.

Luio & Co is distinct for a few reasons. Having been a major backer of Karaba and the AEUG, they have a positive reputation for their assistance by those who know of this connection. Stephanie Luio, a major historical contact, is current chairman after the sudden retirement and reclusion of her father, Luio Woomin.

The second Luio daughter, Michele Luio, is the actual secret weapon of Luio & Co. Rumored to be a powerful Newtype prophetess (though Luio & Co has refused to comment), it was her insight that pulled Luio & Co out of Lhasa as one of the first to leave in 0093, just prior to the city's destruction by Fifth Luna.

A keen but 'friendly' rivalry with Orb Union businesses, such as Nergal Heavy Industries, keeps both on their toes, though Luio does not specialize in Mobile Suit design (though they have privately modified several unit-lines in the past). Many hope this leads to a golden age of corporate innovation in an otherwise stagnating world.
