The Gunslinger Gundam is a high-mobility ranged combat specialized Mobile Suit. The middle torso has been narrowed, with minimal armor, while the hips have been enlongated to serve as built-in holsters and recharging ports for two pairs of guns (beam revolvers and depleted uranium pistols). A retractable beam-resistant scarf guards the neck but can be stretched to cover the entire unit, providing coverage against attacks and protection during atmospheric re-entry. Missile launchers are mounted in the shoulders, with a pair of chest vulcans built into the torso for anti-personnel combat, cover fire, and area denial. The beam shotgun slotted into a back-mounted recharging sheathe provides a scattering beam shot, a condensed beam slug, or a solid depleted uranium slug, with optional high-explosive rounds. While the Gunslinger is specialized in ranged combat, it is also equipped for melee range combat as well, with reinforced fists, elbows, knees, and feet, and a MS-scale knife hidden beneath the back recharger unit. A sensor package mounted in a wide hat-shaped head shield provides enhanced tracking and detection in a 360 degree area.
