The SD Gundam video game franchise is vast, covering numerous genres and dating back to at least the Famicom/NES. Rather than integrating every SD Gundam video game that's ever existed, we're going to lens in on a handful, including:

  • SD Gundam Battle Alliance
  • SD Gundam Wars Trilogy

SD Gundam Battle Alliance

The "Commander" and Juno Astarte, a pilot and operator in the Federation's Gatheroad Squadron, are drawn into a conflict spanning multiple Gundam universes in which the world is out of order. At the center of these events seems to be Hermes Mercury, an elite pilot of uncertain origin. Are Hermes Mercury and his Gundam Latreia the source of these mysterious problems, or is something else pulling the strings?

SD Gundam G Generation Wars Trilogy

These games chronicle the story of the "Generation System," a system with seemingly limitless power to guide the world. Conflict over the Generation System threatens to embroil the Earth Sphere, while the mysterious Aphrodia seeks to return these conflicts to the proper path.

Concurrently, Code Phoenix, an elite pilot of uncertain origin, tries to press to the center of the Generation System at the behest of his companion Arby, and is prevented from moving forward by a series of entities generated by the system itself...

Integration Notes

Overview

  • This is a "metaplot integration," which serves to connect disparate themes, including the various Gundam metaseries, Evangelion Series, Mazinger Series, and Getter Robo Series.
  • As of early Phase 2, the Balbadoro, Aphrodia, and Hermes Mercury will make their appearances at some of the nexuses of the conflict swirling in this new era.
  • The slice of the Wars Trilogy we are most concerned with is Overworld (coincidentally, the only one of the set available in English).

Characters

  • Code;Maxwells has been effectively replaced entirely with Code;Amelias. Code;Maxwells is essentially a non-character with an identical goal; this also gives Code;Amelias a minion should she desire it.
  • Sakura Slash is a strange entity discovered by Cathedra's Gatheroad Squadron with partial knowledge of the Generation System. Her origins remain similar to those presented in the game. Her knowledge of the expected (read: canonical) fates of many characters is quite high, but she generally keeps these to herself unless they are either explicitly confirmed or averted where she can see them.
  • Alka Adonis, the Gatheroad Squadron Commander (the PC of SD Gundam Battle Alliance) has no canonical character design. For an applicant interested in this character, we encourage the use of one of the default character portraits for original characters from SD Gundam G Generation Genesis or Cross Rays as a visual design.
  • Code;Phoenix is open to applications. We will discuss the nature of the Generation System and Code;Phoenix's backstory with any interested applicants.

World

  • In both cases, rather than traveling through a simulated reality, the characters will be dealing with a mystery taking place in this reality.

Organizations

  • The Gatheroad Squadron is a Cathedra sub-squadron that deals with strange phenomena such as data storm anomalies and the aftereffects of Psychoframe miracles. They are often assigned to work in international cooperation with 3G Green and Red.
  • Aphrodia will work with various organizations in her quest to set the world on the "right path." (Aphrodia, as of this writing, has a temporary player lined up, as her participation in various events is somewhat load-bearing for Phase 2 content.)
