Gennosuke Yumi

The Prime Minister of Japan since the death of Genbu Kururugi in 0089. Previously a researcher with the Photon Research Institute.

Gennosuke Yumi enjoys great support in Free Japan, where he is known best for a lavish Photon Power-based infrastructure plan that has made Japan prosperous despite being removed from the Orbital Ring's power grid. He is nearly universally despised in Area 11, however, as he is perceived as having abandoned southwestern Japan to Britannia in order to end the fighting. Most critiques of his governance, both positive and negative, orient on his clear sense of the way the world should be and his desire for peace.

Gennosuke Yumi refused the position of Ruler of All Known Space, delegating it to Neo Japanese Gundam Fight commissioner Shin Karato after Neo Japan's victory in 0092.
