Casval!!

A screenplay written in mid-0095 that depicts the early life of Char Aznable - or rather, Casval Rem Deikun - in an entirely farcical, comedic yet crude manner. After mostly circulating in low-budget theaters for several months, more ambitious productions steadily started picking it up largely to grab attention. As a parody making light of the life of one of the Earth Sphere's most recently infamous war criminals, it inherently walks a thin rope, and invariably falls off. Its lightheartedness makes anyone who hates Char feel repulsed and as though it's low-key making a tyrant seem silly and goofy and lovable - its mockery makes anyone who supported Char feel disgusted by his depiction as a bumbling hothead. Combined with outbursts of rather questionable use of language, and it's a theatrical production that stokes a level of intense online argument and seems to satisfy nobody. As a result, it's currently one of the hottest selling theatrical performances on Earth out of sheer morbid curiosity and hate-watching, and finds its genuine appeal largely among a niche of the generally contrarian type.
