Created as a spiritual successor to GGG robots of old and to help combat the rise in kaiju and giant robot related crimes over the years, Deckerd was built to embody the perfect Police Officer in both design and specs. What wasn't in his specs, however, was the capacity to experience and understand emotions, an ability he gained from bonding with and befriending a young 4th grader named Yuta Tomonaga in secret during his development. Realizing the strength of a machine with a heart, the commissioner of the project has since assigned Yuta as the boss of the Brave Police, a development the newly born Brave is most happy with, as the two now fight and solve a wide variety of crimes that plague the streets of Nouvelle Tokyo.

It's kind of like Pinocchio except replace the fairy with a literal child and Jiminy Cricket with a really eccentric man.
Resources
Brave Police - Deckerd is a giant machine, and thus, has the physique expected of one. He comes equip with a robot sized revolver, and possesses the convinenent ability to transform into a police cruiser for faster travel and to transport people.
J-Roader- A giant, self piloted truck with a trailer. Outside of being one of the combination pieces to form J-Decker (the other being Deckerd himself), it can also serve as yet another means of transportation, and also a impromptu base of operations.
Yuta Tomonaga - The boss of the Brave Police, and Deckerd's best and first friend. Though only in 4th grade, he is both unusually perceptive of his environment and in tune with the feelings of others (when he isn't being a brat). Other than that, he's just your average kid.
