The AXIS Custom is a heavily modified late-model Zaku III customized for Crescent pilots. It has much less armor and reduced bulk, making it more fragile, but its maneuverability and speed are exceptional. Its limbs are contained in magnetic sheathes that can extend and retract with nearly zero friction due to the magnetic field between the exterior shell and interior frame. The empty space also reduces the overall weight of the MS, further increasing its mobility. A superior sensor eye allows for zooming in on long-distance targets with sufficient clarity to engage in accurate sniping. A Beam Tomahawk can be carried as a back-up weapon or it can replace the Beam Saber that is usually sheathed in the back recharging unit. While the overall armament is small, the AXIS Custom makes up for it by being tuned specifically for pilots with rapid reaction time and extensive combat experience.
