I've been hearing you for a long time.
A girl is sleeping below the Earth.
I have been looking for you.
She does not know how long she has been sleeping for. It has been a very long time.
But you keep on wandering the ring of fate
All she knows is that she sleeps. She sleeps in an unearthly bed, a translucent bubble surrounded by softly glowing stones, with roots twisting around it and down into the ground.
Like a mirage in the distance.
In her sleep, she dreams. She dreams of crashing waves. She dreams of stars. She dreams of fluttering wings, of birds in flight - flying away from her. She wishes they would come back.
The years, the stars, and everything become entangled.
More than anything else, she dreams of songs. She dreams of the songs of her friends. She dreams of the songs of friends she has yet to meet. She dreams of the songs of friends she will never meet. And she dreams of her song. She dreams of the song that she knows is hers. The song that fills her heart. It has been so long since she sang.
There is a rumbling. A response. Something has happened. Ancient mechanisms older than recorded history begin to move once more. Light begins to fill the chamber.
When our souls link, it will begin.
For the first time in eons, the girl opens her eyes.
