  • Summary: A series of two documents posted on the Battle Operations forum details some things to an extraordinarily accurate degree. Fanfiction or truth!?
[ OOC Note - In effect: Whispered and Lambda Driver knowledge are now Officially Out And In The Public Eye. This still has certain details obscured and is only a personally-sided incomplete summation. ]

In the network forums of Battle Operations, a simple Lore and Adjustment request was posted by user xXxSwissGarulKnifexXx. Multiple links to various file-hosting sites and peer-to-peer networks to ensure complete dispersal of the suggestions within, containing ‘suggestions’ and ‘adjustments’ to certain things: Namely, the addition of a special engine called the "Lambda Driver" and the existence of "Whispered" to be integrated into the game, along with explanations of their presumed real-world usages and explanations for certain things in the world.

No one can confirm the origin of this documentation, with the traceback of who posted it ending in a terminal situated in the lower west coast of the New Britannian Continent.

Lambda Driver

The Lambda Driver is a system consisting of three parts.


TAROS

  • TAROS - Transfer And Response Omni-Sphere - This device connects to (installed around) the cockpit and reads the pilot’s nervous system using a combination of readings from the pilot’s suit and the movements of the machines. This device then converts those readings into electrical impulses to activate the Lambda Driver. Whispered (along with other mentally attuned humans, unknown effects) are able to interface with TAROS on a deeper level, on the same level as Psycommu and Psycho-Frame movements for Newtypes. Long-term usage of TAROS by Whispered is unknown.
    • The Omni-Sphere is too expansive to discuss in this document. For now, please think of it as “the realm made by the human mind”, though this definition is seemingly antiquated. In effect, the TAROS allows for humans to interface with the Omni-Sphere and move their mind through the physical world at will. The cost is prohibitively expensive and theory proves it would lead to the death of the user, both in terms of precognition and telepathy.
    • The influence of TAROS on other conceptual angles are currently unknown.*** All humans are theoretically connected by the Omni-Sphere.
      • To reiterate, both precognition and telepathy are theoretically impossible with massive technological hurdles, in terms of mental strain and required power.
      • Theoretically.
  • Schematics are included by running this document as a script. Be advised about the difficulty of manufacture.


Lambda Driver

  • The physical size of this device is akin to a minifridge (30cm x 30cm x 85cm). The inside consists of a reinforced cylinder of a specialized substance. The composition of the substance and all related documentation for containment, usage, and manufacture of this substance are marked in the metadata of this document. Be heavily advised about the manufacturing requirements.
  • Lambda - Repulsion

      • Repulsive Drive System
      • Pseudostring Repulsive Field Generator System
  • Original Name - Omni-Sphere High-Speed Chained Influence Reactor
    • The name “Lambda Driver” is a misnomer. Conceptually, it is a reactor rather than a repulsor. Instead of ‘repulsing’, it is amplifying the pilot’s paraphysical influence in the Omni-Sphere.
  • The Lambda Driverworks on the idea that every sentient being is able to influence the Omni-Sphere unconsciously. In colloquial terms, it is a very, very weak form of telekinesis that cannot even be measured. Attempting to measure such things delves into Quantum Theory and the mystery akin to light being a wave or a particle simultaneously, except any human attempting to quantify it introduces noise solely by being there.
  • The human nervous system (brain included) is artificially recreated in suits containing a Lambda Driver. By channeling massive amounts of electricity at the right time through this artifical system, the telekinetic influence of the Omni-Sphere can be made manifest.
    • As of the current suggestion, there has been no conceptual way to put a Lambda Driver into anything other than a human-shaped suit.
    • Functionality of the Lambda Driver is highly variable. Activation of the Lambda Driver forces the pilot to emit gamma wave brainwaves.
      • Gamma Wave Brainwaves - 30-50 hz
      • When the strength of these brainwaves reaches a certain threshold, the Lambda Driver is able to produce a repulsor field for defensive or offensive measures.
    • The level of influence (telekinesis) vastly heightens with specific criteria. The exact specifics are unknown, but the best-capable ethical results come from the following.
      • Trained Soldier - Heightened Mental Focus
      • Extreme Emotion - ‘Will’ to induce a singular Mental State
      • Drug Ti970 is able to induce similar effects, but is known to have negative, severe effects which include, but are not limited to: Memory loss, schizophrenia, visual and aural hallucinations, delusions of prosecutive nature, mood swings, migraines, vision loss, disorientation. This list is not definitive.
        • One such pilot was theorized to be under the influence of this drug during the Behemoth Incident in UC0096 in Nouvelle Tokyo.
          • In practice, this means that extended, continual use of the Lambda Driver will result in mental strain up to and not including brain death.
  • The job of the TAROS is to check for the right conditions to activate the Lambda Driver.
  • Theoretically, the Lambda Driver can interface with any humanoid-structure suit with the proper mental throughline, but this is speculation and a suggestion to the developers. Arm Slaves are properly equipped to interface with the Lambda Driver using the TAROS.

Framework Skeleton

  • The core of an Arm Slave equipped with a Lambda Driver and TAROS cannot function without the artifical nervous system.
  • This skeleton consists of having crystals to recreate the nervous system and brain of a human being.
  • The patterning process ensures that each nervous system is completely unique; Over time, as the pilot uses the Lambda Driver and forces the artifical nervous system to surge with electricity to induce Omni-Sphere telekinesis, the more the nervous system will ‘know’ how the pilot functions, lightly lowering the mental strain required for Lambda Driver activation.

Whispered

  • Date of Birth: UC0079 Dec 24
    • Time of Birth (GMT-0): 11:50 AM - 11:53 AM
  • The origins of the Whispered are heavily debated, but this is the accepted explanation.
  • On UC0079, thanks to an experiment conducted by Dmitri Valov, the world was blanketed by Iota Waves and Tau Waves for a period of three minutes. These waves affected no one but newborns, as the minute local influences of the Omni-Sphere halted the influence.
  • The effect of the Iota Waves only begin manifesting once they have reached a certain age and mental development, and begin receiveing what is termed as Whispers.
  • Tau Waves are still rebounding in this universe. The current effects are unknown.
  • Whispers induce intelligence on a massive scale. Problems that once seem inscrutible become child’s play. Original ideas seem to flow from them, pushing new perspective onto old things. In effect: Whispered are fated to become geniuses.
    • It is important to state that the actual effect of learning is skipped entirely. Whispered just know how to solve it.
  • Whispers are able to be induced, but heavily disincentivized. If a Whisper manages to worm in deep enough, the metaphorical abyss of where the Whispers originate from mentally swallows a person, inducing insanity.
    • In one recorded case, this ended in suicide.
  • On top of this fundamental intelligence increase, Whispered also become knowledgable about things no one could possibly know. They just know it via voices out of nowhere.
  • These seemingly futuristic technologies are termed “Black Technology”.
    • The Black Technology one divines through Whispers is unknown, but specialized.
    • The proper origin of Black Technology is unknown.
    • Under certain circumstances, Whispered are able to telepathically talk with one another via the Omni-Sphere. This is not recommended, as it risks personality loss and identity death with both communicators.
  • Whispered themselves are not Newtypes, but there have been anecdotal encounters of the two being able to interface in some capacity. This also accounts for TAROS/Psycommu interfacing.

  • Again, this is all anecdotal and assumed. The ironclad origins may never be discovered, or what the endgoal of being a Whispered entails.

The post was met with derision and talks about it being a hoax, with the account soon banned afterwards. I don't know, it sounds like a huge hoax. Whomever wrote this has an active imagination!
