- Summary: After the battle at the North Pole, Rena looks at the changes of the Gaia Gear Alpha, but she doesn't find any answers.
Rena stood before the Gaia Gear Alpha, docked at Tumu-nui Base in the Orb Emirates. It was a base purchased from Orb's government at a steep discount by the Three Ships Alliance, after the Battle of Orb. It was, all told, one of the few permanent Earthside bases of the Alliance.
The white Mobile Suit had seen no small amount of damage from the battle at the North Pole. Blackened and battered armor, but much of it was removed to be repaired and replaced. That revealed the plates of crystal all around the cockpit.
The Psychoframe crystal had been a deep sea blue, ever since Denver. Now, though, it was changed again. Whorls of a pale green mixed in with the blue.
The color of the Void.
Rena frowned and put a hand over her chest, where her own Psychoframe crystal was -- the shard from Denver, embedded into her permanently. It, too, was a deep blue. And it, too, has a thread of pale green throughout it.
She felt something. A stirring, in the back of her mind; a presence that she felt was standing next to her. She looked sideways at her, but there was nothing there. She frowned, for a moment longer.
Then she turned and started walking. There were new questions, now... but there weren't answers to be found by just watching.
