  • Summary: Mineva Lao Zabi begins her work towards nurturing the seed of good will wrought from the miracle.

"Captain York, Captain Misumaru, Captain Clyne. I would like to make a request of all three of you."

It started small, but great endeavors always do. Magallanica was a gift from the prior generation, but she immediately set towards making it their own. Repairs were made by individuals within the Three Ship's Alliance to make it livable, to remove the wounds of Industrial 7's fall.

A gift, such as the extensive communications capability of this fortress. The ability to make connections, no matter the distance. A podium was exchanged for a chair.

"Allow me to speak plainly, your Grace. I have no intention of ceding what you refer to as 'Singularity One' to the Earth Federation Forces, but that does not mean we are incapable of arriving at terms."

To work through disagreements, to smooth negative tensions. With the communications equipment, she became a diplomatic corps of one.

"Yes, you do understand me correctly, Councilor Bloodman. You may spread the word through your news outlets that Magallanica will be moving towards Jupiter, out of the Earth Federation's sphere of influence, to spread our message of peace. Naturally, we have no intention of traveling any further than Side 3, where we will work as a check against the influence of Anti-Federation elements. 'A Mon Seul Desir.' - My only desire remains peace. As a public announcement of our intent to remain within Side 3 would only undermine the Earth Federation's credibility, we can call it an 'open secret'."

Slowly but surely, matters began to take shape.

"Certainly, it benefits us both to ensure that these refugees are not taken in by the wrong elements, Minister. To deny him a steady stream of recruits for his dreams of a new Neo-Zeon. To that end, we'll need to work out an agreement to see them fed and sheltered. The manufacturing capabilities of Magallanica cannot be underestimated when it comes to any plans you have for expansion of Side 3."

One call at a time, she connected with others.

"A stuck up Princess playing games, is that what you think?" Mineva's expression tugs into a smile, "Ha! I could say the same of you, Cagalli Yula Athha, but that argument would benefit neither of us. Please, let us figure this out together, not as two Princesses of our respective nations, but as two teenagers that desire an end to the wars that consume the world we live in today."

Some less productive than others.

"Ah Majority Leader Copeland, I was wondering when I would hear from you so that I might deliver my response. Saber rattling aside, your position is noted. Nevertheless, I have no intention of turning over my allies to Federation custody. I reiterate that while I have no desire for conflict with your military, but should you introduce a resolution against the Three Ships Alliance to take - rather than merely 'request' that which is dear to us." Her expression hardens, "Then you will discover that we are more than prepared to defend ourselves, for the Beast of Possibility does not sleep when it's den is under threat."

Others far more affable.

"I believe I've already convinced you I do not pose any threat to the Earthsphere as the Red Comet once did, Captain Noa. ... Now that I've addressed the anxieties of your superiors." A tiny smile, "Was there any message you'd like to pass on to your former subordinates?"

Each time she sat down in that seat, she took a moment in repose before connection was established, and each time it was she became the leader she needed to be.

"President Rembran, I assure you that we do not follow a script written by Syam Vist. On the day he passed on, the good will of a past generation long held in abeyance was offered to all of us. It was our choice to pass that good will to the people who will give shape to the beginning of the next century. But let us not linger upon such matters... let us instead begin our negotiations on the evidence your investigation requires."

She understood, that going forward, she would need to be this person more and more. The miracle of good will they created, it could not simply be left on it's own to grow in fallow soil. It had to be nurtured.

And she would be one of it's gardeners.
