"Welcome back to 'Whatever happened to ...', I am your host Paige Garner." The hostess of the show greets the viewers as she turns to face another camera, "Tonight we ask ourselves whatever happened to Treize Khushrenada?" The footage cuts to a press conference being led by Treize as Paige's voice is still heard. " The young Colonel of G-Hound, who was known as a hero of the federation and rather easy on the eyes to, has appeared to have fallen out of the limelight and into serious trouble."
"Colonel Khushrenada, the eldest son of Angelina Khushrenada and Hundeldt Catalonia. An image of a rather young Treize, with his parents and his baby half brother started his military career at the age of twelve. The image then shifts to a preteen Treize in an old OZ cadet uniform, "Starting his military career at the age of twelve , he quickly rose through the ranks. " The images shift slowly showing Treize aging through the years and the uniform changing and showing Treize's rise in the ranks until it is an image of Treize accepting his promotion to Colonel and becoming the leader of G-Hound armed forces. " Having been promoted to the ranks of Colonel just about two years ago. It is under his command that G-Hound hunted the terrorist group known as Celestial Beings and stood with the rest of the federation forces against ZAFT."
As Paige continues to talk, clips of the ZAFT conflict begin to play. "It was at the end of the ZAFT conflict that the height of Colonel Khushrenada's public approval. According to those under him he was a man fighting for not just the earth but for all of humanity. However, it seems that the power went to the Colonel's head." A still image of Muruta Azrael appears alongside Treize Khushrenada.
"During the conflict, an atrocious act of war was caused by the man Muruta Azrael under the Colonel's command. As some know, that criminal never made it back to the federation courts for prosecution either. Azrael's body was found floating in space, and an investigation shows that Colonel Khushrenada took it upon himself to be judge, jury, and executioner." It is clear there is a judgemental tone in Paige's voice underlined with hostility towards the Colonel. " That's right the Colonel took it upon himself to execute Muruta Azrael.""
Silence footage is played of the Colonel in front of a committee filled with members of the Romefeller foundation as Paige's voice is heard once again, "Shortly after returning from the conflict the Colonel's actions were investigated. Claims were brought against the Colonel that his actions were not just him passing judgment but to cover up his own involvement in it. He was the leader of the armed forces of G-Hound after all, how could he not know what was happening under his command." The last comment is made while the video footage zooms in on Treize's smiling face as he simply sits there in front of the Romefeller committee without any concern.
The footage shifts back to the host of the show, showing Paige Garner. " Now this is not just the opinion of this reporter, today we have a special guest. Leader of the Romefellar Foundation, and someone who has watched Treize his entire career and knows him well, Duke Dermail. " A round of applause from the unseen audience can be heard as the screen splits to show Duke Dermail, " Welcome Duke Dermail, and thank you for joining us. Could you tell us in your own opinion on what happened that day? "
The Duke sits and clears his throat for a moment before speaking, " Thank you Ms. Garner. The case of Treize Khushrenada is a difficult one. Those behind the administration of G-Hound deliberated for days over it. In the end it was decided that the Colonel did act in what he thought was the best interest of the people and had nothing to do with Muruta Azrael, however that did not give him the power to become the executor. No, it would appear power went to his head at the moment and due to this we have persuaded Colonel Khushrenada into a leave of action for the time being. He is still a member of G-Hound and due to his knowledge and experience he may be called upon to step into different roles as needed. However he is no longer the face of G-Hound as he once was. Not until he has proven that he can be trusted."
Paige smiles and nods at the explanation, "That is a reasonable and fair decision and I hope in his time away from command the Colonel realizes he is not above the people." Duke Dermail chuckles and adds, "That's right Ms. Garner, I too hope he learns his place. " The Duke seems to be staring into the camera as he says the last line. Paige smiles and says, " Well Duke Dermail, I appreciate you taking this time to give us your opinion." The image of Duke Dermail cuts off as Paige returns to looking at the screen. "Now we go on site to try to get a word with the star of the evening.""
The video shifts to an image of the Khushrenada mansion and things seem rather quiet. No servants or anything, until a young blonde lady wearing a school uniform approaches the camera. Before the person behind the camera can even ask a question the lady begins to speak with a rather large amount of confidence behind her words. "My cousin has issued a statement, he wishes for all those out there to know that he has not resigned himself to be absent from the world. Fear not, for he shall return when the people have need of his leadership once again." Their is a smugness in her voice, and just as quickly as she approached the camera she turns and walks back to the mansion ignoring the questions being shouted at her.
Finally the camera notices something in the window of the second story of the mansion, there is Treize Khushrenada himself watching the outside world as he sips tea. The camera zooms in on his face, before the video cuts back to the hostess of the show. Paige speaks up, "Well everyone that is our time for the night. I've been your hostess Paige Garner, and next week we will be asking 'Whatever happened to ... Kai Shiden'. Goodnight everyone." The screen fades to black as the credits begin to roll.
As the credit rolls those with the keen eye would absolutely catch that one of the companies that produced the show is none other than the Romefeller Foundation.
