- Summary: Sheryl, Akane, Ranka, Rikka, and Alouette get together to buy new swimsuits for the season, and in particular for the upcoming Deculture Festival '97.

It's that time~ Sheryl had suggested to Rikka, Alouette, and Akane that they hit up the beach at some point this summer--and if they're going to hit the beach, obviously they need to go shopping for new swimsuits. Sheryl had invited Ranka along to join them, and though the fresh-faced idol has had a lot on her plate, she managed to get some time to join them for a girls' day out. Meeting up again at Frontier's shopping district makes it easier--though next time, they might want to hit a beach that's more convenient for the others.
For now, Sheryl's waiting with folded legs on a bench in front of a fashionable boutique off the main trolley line, their summer line displayed on mannequins in the front window. She's wearing strappy white heels, a match for the white unbuttoned overshirt that drapes over her black bustier top, artfully shredded blue-jean short-shorts with a thick faux-leather belt, shades, and a wide-brimmed sunhat. The Sheryl Nome x THE KISS jewelry line, gold version, hang from her neck and left wrist and adorns her right ring finger, and she of course has Pure Shield sunscreen applied. Matching hair clips pull back her side bangs into her otherwise flowing blonde hair, which does a fine job of showing off her single crystal drop earring.
Currently she's squishing through her taiyaki phone's social media feed, which curves in a holo-screen over the strange device. Brera and Grace are nowhere to be seen, but one or both are probably keeping an eye on things.
The moment the others arrive, she looks up from her phone to give them a sunny smile and a wave. "Hi, girls~ You're just in time! Let's get right to it--there's too many cute looks to try on not to. <3"
The lot of them will head in together, doorbell tinkling as the door opens. There's lots of summer apparel, not just swimsuits, and many of them are very cute. Sheryl looks over some of them herself, but holds off on grabbing anything until they reach the swimsuit section. There's three-pieces, two-pieces, one-pieces, even Reese's pieces (Reese being a famous fashion designer in this day and age).
Sheryl grabs one of the bikinis, a zip-up red-and-white affair, and poses in front of a nearby floor mirror with it. With all the modesty befitting the Galactic Fairy, she comments, "Hmmm~... It's so hard to choose when you look good in everything."

Swimsuit shopping is always a little fraught. It's one of the few things that makes Akane really miss her experience in Tsutsujidai -- that trip on spring break was really nice, though...
... it'll be fine, she tells herself, heading in.
Today's outfit choice for Akane is a black polo shirt and grey skirt. It's a bit of a different vibe from Akane's usual, but at the same time, she's doing pretty great with it. She glances over the apparel, looking thoughtful --
-- and Sheryl immediately goes for a fairly racy bikini. "Hmm... that's a little daring for me, but yeah, you'd kill it. I'm kinda looking for something with a skirt myself?" Come to think, she gravitated toward that kind of thing in Tsutsujidai, too... maybe she legitimately just likes them. "What about you, Rikka? Going for more of your usual, or are you going to branch out a bit?"
She sees a competition swimsuit, seems to give it a split-second thought, then turns bright pink and moves on. "And what about you two?" she adds, glancing over to Ranka and Alouette.

It was exceptionally hard for Ranka to get a day off at the moment, but she needed a break, and the offer of a girls' day out was too tantalizing.
Ultimately though, she wasn't the one who pushed for it, it was Elmo who saw her having trouble being assertive about it when things kept getting in the way, until he just created a hole in her schedule.
He may not be the most experienced manager for a superstar idol, but he does definitely notice her feelings.
And so Ranka's on her way, in a tea green flowy sundress, with a lavender ribbon tied into a bow at her waist, and yet another at her neck. She's also got a sunhat on, and a a pair of sunglasses with violet frames, and a pair of strapped sandals.
As she sees Sheryl on the bench, her eyes light up and she waves at her from afar. "Sheryl!" She picks up the pace into a jog, as if seeing her was invigorating enough against the tide of exhaustion from being a new idol.
"Ahhhhh I'm so glad you were able to put this together!" Ranka enthuses, as they enter the store, lowering her sunglasses to look at the options.
There's a small laugh as Sheryl speaks of looking good in everything, "Well with you, every single swimsuit is like, twice the statement." Ranka tells her happily, "But that's a good choice, I think you'd look especially hot in that one."
If she takes on a faint blush, it's fine, right? Everyone knows Sheryl is hot, especially Sheryl.
Akane snaps her out of staring at Sheryl in the mirror a little overlong, her hair taking a small leap, "Ah- I was thinking-" Ranka quickly checks the racks, and looking through them, produces a frilly light pink bikini with gauzy skirt and bows-

"-something like this." As she holds it up, then gives Akane this sort of, second look, "By the way have we met? You seem very familiar..."

Swimsuit shopping! It's about time she tried something new, and going with friends is a lot more fun than going on her own.
She's dressed pretty casually today, in a black t-shirt featuring a design from a band she likes, and a pair of shorts matching the general color scheme.
"Hey Sheryl, everyone." Rikka greets as she arrives, with a smile and a wave. Soon enough, they're on her way inside - she spots the summer apparel and makes a mental note to come back and look at it later, but for right now... swimsuits!
"Right?" Rikka agrees with a small laugh, as Sheryl laments the hardships of looking good. "That does look nice, though..."
And Ranka has something in mind, too!
"Oh, that's really cute... That'd be a good look on you." Rikka considers, before looking toward Akane. A skirt... That's right, she remembers Akane's swimsuit from the trip.
"That's a good idea - it's a great look for you." Rikka replies. But then she asks, what's she thinking...? That's a good question! She 'hm's to herself for a moment, thinking it over.
"I think it'd be good to try something new..." She considers. She selects two options from the racks, looking them over consideringly. One's a two-piece and just a little showier than the blue-and-white-strapped bikini she usually sports, and the other a rather form-fitting one piece - both in a similar color scheme, dark blue with white accenting.
"...What do you think?" She considers for the evaluation of the room at large.
She glances Alouette's way curiously as Akane asks about her.
"Let us know if you need help picking anything out!" She offers.

Among the many things that exist on her plate, Alouette was really looking forward to this outing in particular. Even if she feels an immense amount of pressure shopping alongside Sheryl of all people, not to mention the rising star Ranka. But this is the sort of thing friends do together, right?
She got a head-start on figuring out swimming during her check-in on Leina's recovery, and it really wasn't so bad... but she's discovered that your chosen aesthetic for the beach is arguably even more important than pure functionality in the water.
She's dressed a little lighter, it's summer after all. Her white button-up puffs at the shoulders, and she doesn't button it quite as tight as she usually does. A pair of pale blue thigh high socks matches her chosen skirt.
Once she arrives, she's relieved to know she's on time - it was worth taking the trip all the way out to the Frontier. She follows her friends into the shop, nodding enthusiastically when Sheryl brings up how many cute looks there are. So many possible options... it's almost overwhelming?
"That sounds like a very lucky problem to have..." Alouette replies with a giggle as Sheryl despairs at the difficulty of looking so good in anything. "I get it, though. There's so many nice looking options here, I'm thinking I should try to be a little picky about it." That's part of fashion that tickles her brain a bit - there's more challenge to it than simple analysis because it comes from the heart.
Everyone else seems to at least have an idea of what to go for, though... but Akane asks her, and Rikka offers to help. "It's my first time picking one out, so I kind of want to go with something special... something nice and frilly would be good." She considers. She eyes the two-pieces, and then her eyes dart to the one-pieces. Some of them bolder than others. "What kind of.. style do you think would be good? It's hard even imagining myself in some of these, but I want to give everything a fair shot."

"Likewise! What's the point of going on hiatus if I can't have some fun from time to time?" Sheryl tells Ranka brightly as they head inside. Her candid remarks get a rich laugh out of her. "Oh, Ranka, you're so honest!" she teases, turning to one side to briefly pose for her. She doesn't mind that overlong stare at all, she finds. The bikini gets draped over her left arm--after a full round of approval, it looks like it's on the 'try on' pile.
In particular, when Akane remarks that Sheryl would kill this look, she gives her a wink. "Naturally~" she lilts. She giggles back at Alouette before adding to Akane, "This place had a high ranking with the local boutiques, though, so I'm sure you can find something more like what you want."
The bikini Ranka picks out for herself gets an approving nod. "Very cute! That shade of pink will look good on you," she assesses. She winks again and adds, "And the gauze adds just a hint of mystery that'll drive the boys..." She glances over at the rest of their group, then smirks. "...and the girls wild~."
She isn't done picking out bikinis, though; after considering more of what's available, she also picks out a white bikini with a criss-crossing strap top, a green bikini with a lighter green sunburst design and white straps, and a dark blue two-piece with a pale paneled 'belt' for the bottom and multi-paneled 'windows' for the top.
"It's the perfect season for a fresh look," she remarks to Rikka in lateral agreement. She takes a moment to consider both of Rikka's choices, her free hand on her chin. "Hmmm... They're both cute... But if you want something new, why don't you try a different color?" Her lips part into a mischievous, lascivious grin. "I bet someone would love to see you draped in lavender. <3"
Alouette's question about the style that would suit her best gets a more serious, thoughtful look. "Hmmm... You've never had a swimsuit before, right? Frills are a great choice, but in your case, I'd actually recommend trying on a bunch of different styles. It's not just what looks good on you, but what makes you feel good while you wear it. And you won't know that until you give it a try!"
She looks over her own pile of picks; then she pulls out the dark blue bikini and hands it over to Alouette. "Here! You and I have similar hair and eye colors, so why don't you give this one a shot?"
...Again: this is the one with boob windows. On a bikini top.

Akane pauses, and then --
"Oh! Uh -- Akane Shinjo," she says, awkwardly. "I think we've crossed paths a couple times, though my hair might have been," easy explanation easy explanation "dyed then?" She waves it off, saying, "Uh -- don't worry about it, ahaha... anyway, hi!"
Ranka picks out a swimsuit, and -- Akane starts giggling. "I actually have a really similar swimsuit without the bows. I really like it, and..." Ranka's haircut's somewhat similar, she's only an inch or two taller... "Yeah, that'll definitely work for you," she concludes.
Akane sees Rikka move to pick out swimsuits and immediately all thoughts in her head that aren't that one fall out. "Competition swimsuits are really good," Akane muses. "Honestly, they're both really good? But that one kinda sticks out to me... it's kinda like -- the good parts of those old school swimsuits but without the weird connotations."
When Alouette asks for advice, Akane lets Sheryl speak first -- and then nods in agreement. "You're gonna wanna try a little bit of everything, yeah. Remember you can throw on accessories, too. You can get away with some otherwise kinda 'not you' stuff with cute sunglasses or --"
... well, come to think, she kind of already -- when it comes to Alouette...
Akane shuts up and brings a hand up to the back of her head, saying, "A-anyway, I'm gonna... hmmm... maybe this brown one?" She holds up a simple brown bikini top and bottom, and a slightly darker brown sarong. "Part of me feels like I should go for a more daring color, but..."

"Hey Rikka! Good to see you again!" Ranka greets her, it's been a long while since that concert in Tsutsujidai, but she can definitely understand why Sheryl's inviting her along.
'So honest' deepens the flush, but she tries to lean into it, it's fine right? Right? "I'm told honesty is-" Sheryl poses in response, her mind hitches for a moment, "-great!"
As Akane greets her, her eyes light up, "That's right, you were dancing!" Ranka gives her a momentarily curious look, as the image mismatch is strong, and more than just the hair, "Oh I see! Well it's good to see you again-!"
Weren't her boobs and butt much bigger? She kinda remembers that a lot because of the dancing, but she just thinks she must not be remembering correctly.
But once she's picked out a bikini, "Ah, you think?" Ranka gives Rikka and Akane this toothy little grin as they both validate her choice, "I'm glad you agree. And Oh yeah?" She answers Akane at having one, "Maybe we have a similar sense of style!"
Before Sheryl's little tease causes a squeak of, "Bothhhh!?" A touch high pitched, a blush, her bikini on the hangar gets slightly raised like a shame shield of her face, Aha... I mean, I guess- the girls would be, looking too?"
Ranka you're an idol, of course the girls would be looking too. Maybe she's not thinking about girls as in 'plural' though.
However, Alouette requires more consideration perhaps, just because of her presentation. She doesn't know her at all, "Hmm-! Gosh, your style is just so elegant-! It's hard for me to believe it's really your first swimsuit."
After a time, Ranka goes through the racks to hold up a white one piece with some subdued floral motifs, with an asymmetrical look of being on one shoulder and off the other, a ruffle lining it's diagonal.
"Here's another option-!" As she offers it up, holding it up for Alouette to take a look. As her eyes then dart over to Akane's choice, "Hmm-! It matches your hair pretty well though, and I like the sarong..." But daring, she considers that, "... maybe just keep it in mind as like, 'a good start' for now."

"It's good to see you too." Rikka offers with a smile as Ranka greets her. "I hope you've been alright."
She knows her career's picking up, having been to one of her concerts already - she can only hope adjusting has been easy for her.
"A different color, huh?" Rikka considers. Lavender, specifically... It's a complete mystery why her gaze drifts toward Akane consideringly, of course. "I bet I'd look pretty good in lavender..."
She can't help but smile just a little at Akane's reaction to her choices.
"You think so? Yeah, I like the way they feel, too." Rikka agrees with a nod, then considers. She sets her current picks aside as she goes searching again - and this time, holds up another one-piece. Following Sheryl's suggestion, this one is lavender.
It also shows off her back - just a bit.
"This could work, too..." She considers.
"That's good advice." Rikka agrees, as Sheryl points out that it's important to to choose something that makes you feel good. "You don't want to try to commit to something that'll make you uncomfortable, in any sense."
She considers Alouette for a second, though.
"...Yeah, I feel like you could pull off a wide range of looks." Rikka considers - then pauses, as she looks at Sheryl's offering to Alouette. It's a little showy, but she has to admit... "...It would look good."
She looks toward Akane, then.
"I like it." Rikka replies, then considers for a second. She offers her an encouraging smile. "Something in blue, maybe...?"

"Honesty is pretty important." Alouette agrees, when Ranka freezes up in her response to Sheryl's teasing. "I mean... if you told Sheryl Nome she looked bad, all of us would know you're lying." She adds, with a small grin. "I really like the bows on your pick, by the way. They definitely add a certain extra charm to it." But perhaps she is biased.
She considers Rikka's pick next. Sheryl's advice here is strong; going with a new colour can be just the right kind of change to really bring out a look. "Oh, lavender? That would look really striking... it might actually match your eyes even better than blue does." She comments, glancing her way, before switching her gaze to Akane. "As for you... I think I agree with Rikka. I think a royal blue would look stunning on you." She nods her, when she debates going with a more daring colour.
Now it's her turn! Sheryl's advice is something she takes to heart even in regular fashion. It's not just about how you look, it's about how you feel too. Which is why trying is so important. "You're right... it really isn't so different from picking out any other clothes. But I am interested to see what you got for me~" But when she hands her that dark blue bikini, she just stares at it for a few seconds, and then laughs a little. "That's, ah... really bold. And definitely very 'Sheryl'. I'm not... really sure if I have the chest to pull that one off? But I'll give it a try!"
Akane's advice, for all she backs away from it, realizing the implications, is noted. "Sunglasses? Right... these ones look like they match?" She picks up a pair from the shelf, adding it to her pile. "It's alright. There's a difference between what happened then and shopping as friends. It's up to me what I leave with, after all~"
And finally, she accepts the one-piece that Ranka hands her. "Thank you!" She smiles, at Ranka's compliment. "And... I've been accomplishing a lot of firsts lately." She ruffles the swimsuit in her hands,. "The texture is nice on this one. And it's very cute too... the flowers add a lot." Both swimsuits added to her pile, she kind of wants to take them both home... but she's not done looking just yet.

Sheryl had opted to let the others handle their own introductions, but... right, Ranka wouldn't know what all happened in Tsutsujidai, would she? ...Would she? She glances at her friend/rival, suddenly unsure. ...Well, if Akane had to claim her hair was dyed, she probably doesn't. Sheryl opts to keep her mouth shut on that point.
Honesty is great, though, isn't it? Sheryl giggles at Ranka's embarrassment. "Of course they would! At least half my fanbase is lesbians." Case in point: literally look around right now. Sheryl winks. "You think you don't have your own appeal among that crowd?"
She clucks her tongue when her joke goes over Akane's head. Rikka at least caught it, even if she didn't blush over it. That's fine, too, though. If they're at the point in their relationship where they hear things like that and don't get embarrassed, that means they're pretty solid by now. She smiles and nods Rikka on as she picks out a new suit in lavender... one that shows a little more skin in back. "Very nice~. Exactly!"
The sarong/swimsuit Akane holds up gets a considering look; when Rikka suggests blue, and Alouette further specifies royal blue, Sheryl nods in agreement. "Definitely. A nice, bold, bright shade of blue. If your heart is telling you to be daring, do it!" Ranka's suggestion that she just consider this one for now gets her a wry smile--but then, as Rikka points out (based on her own advice!), there's no point in getting clothes that you don't feel comfortable in.
She smiles just a bit cat-like when Alouette stares at the dark blue bikini. "Of course it's very 'Sheryl'! I originally picked that one for me," she replies (so it's no wonder Alouette might not have the chest for it...), "but the color would suit you too, don't you agree?"
Still, she does look around through the racks and the displays for something that's more Alouette's figure. One in particular gets her eyes to light. "Oh, this one's so cute! Look at this!" She plucks out one and holds it out to Alouette. It's a one-piece streaked in various shades of blue, white, and teal; the straps join at the neck, while ruffles decorate the bust and the hips; a secondary ruff of pale blue and white, then a gauzy drape, layer underneath it.
"With the right accessories, it'll make you look like a mermaid," she declares. "If you don't get it, I might get it for me." It's more modest than what she usually wears, but it's fun to change things up every now and then.

Akane is relieved not to have to explain the situation. Tremendously relieved. She breezes along, nodding as she awkwardly gathers everything up a little more. "You're right -- a few different options can't hurt." She loops back to commenting on Alouette instead, saying, "Alouette's got better fashion sense than I do, haha."
She doesn't notice Rikka staring at her this time -- but when she gets that lavender one-piece, she's all attention. "Oh, that's perfect! I can finally get you back for doing my suntan lotion, too," she says, playfully. "I like that one --"
And then her gaze catches on a slightly long white swim skirt with blue trim, and a bikini top with the inverse colors. "Oh, hello," she enthuses, picking it up and turning around with a big smile. "What does everyone think? It might be a little too deep a blue for me, but... maybe I should take the sunglasses thing for myself, too."
... in the end her eyes track back toward Rikka's lavender swimsuit, though. Even if Sheryl didn't get her with the joke, it seems to have been completely on target.
Looking to Sheryl thoughtfully, then to the swimsuit she's picked for Alouette, Akane agrees, "That's a great choice? It kinda makes me think of her uniform colors, but the swoopiness is really good..."

"It's definitely been hectic." Is her easy response to Rikka, and she feels the momentary wear in her tone, "But I wouldn't trade it for anything."
Ranka checks out Rikka's option that shows off more of her back, and gives a nod of approval.
Alouette causes her mouth to open and close in shock, "Who could ever tell a lie like that!?"
Flustering her, before, "Y-yes, it feels like it's-mmm-hmm!" It takes her a moment to regather, "Very much my style."
Cute is perhaps how she's come to view herself, it's part of her self-esteem, and as such as an idol she's been marketed like that.
Even if sometimes... she wishes... no no, she is not going to think back to Miss Macross. She made it! She doesn't need to feel insecure about not being as hot as other girls.
"H-Half!?" As Sheryl winks at her, her flush deepens, thinking about it. And then Ranka very discreetly tries to check herself out.
And then after a moment, there's a tiny smile...
"I mean I wouldn't have... thought about it until you brought it up. But..." A hand cards through the side of her puppy dog ear like hair, "... it feels kind of nice to think I can count them as my fans."
Sheryl mentions how she chose the bikini for herself that she's offering to Alouette, and Ranka mayyyy perhaps wonder if it fits herself, but she's not gonna bring that up.
"Oh yeah? Well I feel honored to be a part of this one!" She tells Alouette, as her own swimsuit is added to that pile.
And indeed her eyes light up as Sheryl picks another, "Oh wow! Great eye Sheryl! It feels like it really suits her." Of course she has a great eye, she's Sheryl! "A mermaid..."
She looks at Alouette in thought, perhaps blushing a touch as she thinks of her view of what a mermaid bikini would look like. "... that's a really cute thought."
In the end, she eyes Akane a bit longer, before grabbing a lighter shade of red bikini than her eyes, with a one shoulder twist front bow top.
With it, it includes an asymmetrical skirt on the bottom which switches sides from the strap up top, "Bolder." She repeats as she inspects it, before holding it up to Akane, "Maybe something this?"

"I'm glad. Hold onto that feeling." Rikka replies with a smile. Hectic, but she wouldn't trade it for anything... That's definitely important.
"It's true." Rikka agrees with a small laugh, in response to Alouette's agreement with Ranka. Though when Sheryl comments that half her fanbase is lesbians... Rikka raises a hand.
"Guilty as charged." She confirms with a confident smirk. ...Though it does feel good to hear Ranka say it feels nice to count them among her fans.
Alouette agrees, too, that lavender would look great on her - and also that Akane would look good in blue.
It seems that Akane's in agreement, too.
"Fair's fair~." Rikka replies playfully. "I'm glad you like it."
This is definitely a win - and she beams when Sheryl approves, too. And then, based on their feedback, Akane picks out a new swimsuit... and Rikka hitches for just a second, temporarily short-circuiting as she pictures how she'd look in that. Ultimately, one thing's for sure -
"I think that would be great." Rikka replies eagerly, and then nods. "Yeah, that'd definitely be a hit with the right accessory..."
For a moment their eyes are locked on each other's choices, but soon she's drawn out of it by Sheryl's next suggestion for Alouette.
"Oh, that is cute. I love those colors." Rikka agrees vehemently. "I like that one for you."
Ranka makes another suggestion for Akane, and Rikka looks on with interest to see her reaction. She kind of likes that one, too...

"Definitely not me~" She answers Ranka's shocked question, with a glance Sheryl's way. Half of her fanbase is lesbians? Well, even if she doesn't have the statistics right in front of her, it's not hard to believe. And one look at Ranka, she wouldn't be surprised about her growing fanbase, either.
Alouette sees how Ranka flusters and hesitates after she compliments her, too. "Definitely! Ribbons aren't just for looking cute either... they're also perfect for drawing attention. Fashion-wise, there's a lot you can do with them once they have your eyes drawn." Hear it from the girl who constantly wears a giant one on her back.
Although when Akane says she has better fashion sense, she laughs slightly and waves a hand. "Maybe not better... but definitely different. I've been really impressed with some of your looks lately, honestly." And the fact that she's willing to get bolder and more daring with it shows.
Speaking of which...! She studies the blue swim skirt and bikini top combo, nodding approvingly. "Oh, that's a really strong pick." She comments. "The colour inversion makes it stand out a lot... and with the right accessories you'd look cool and cute at the same time! The most important part though..." She smirks, looking over at Rikka. "The two of you would match perfectly."
She's not surprised Sheryl picked that first one for herself. "You'd make it work and then some." She agrees, definitely not looking at Sheryl's chest. "But I think I agree. It's definitely my colour, so it's a good start."
But the next one Sheryl picks looks like jackpot. She takes it, along with Sheryl's bold claim that it will make her look like a mermaid with the right accessories. "That... might just be perfect? I really like this one." She smiles, her eyes lighting up. Akane, Rikka, and Ranka all seem to agree as well. "I'll take a look at the accessories next, then!" Ones that make her legs stand out might just be the play... and like Akane pointed out with her uniform, some gold might really complete the look.
Ranka's next suggestion for Akane also gets a look from Alouette. "Red's always looked good on you, too. I could see you in that one if you're really going for bold." She comments.

Sheryl only grins as Ranka reacts with pure shock at the idea anyone would say Sheryl looks bad, winking over her head at Alouette when she glances at her. Alouette might've been joking, but Ranka takes it so seriously! It's so cute. <3
Akane picks out a new swimsuit and asks for everyone's opinion--but in Sheryl's opinion, the fact that Akane reacted that way to it already means it's a winner. "Try it on! It might look better on you than you think," she encourages her. "The style is already exactly what you wanted."
And with her in blue and Rikka in lavender, it really is a matched look--just as Alouette says aloud. Sheryl smirks to see the two of them peeking looks at each other. There we go.
She laughs, too, as Rikka brazenly counts herself up as one of Sheryl's lesbian fans. "See?" 'Half' might be an exaggeration, honestly, but it's definitely more than half in this particular crowd. Maybe it's because of that that Ranka grabs that bolder top for Akane--Sheryl blinks in surprise, then smiles her approval. "Not bad. Ranka's right; you can absolutely mix and match until you find a combination you like. Like, let's see, for example..."
Her eyes roam among the aisles of the swimsuit section. She'd been looking for Akane at first--but she spots something first that's very Ranka, and pulls that out, along with a suit that's a little more plain. Together, though, they have a look that draws the eye. Sheryl layers one on top of the other, so that the top is a polka-dotted white top with a transparent ruffle under the chest, and the bottom is a pineapple-yellow bottom decorated with pink and orange tropical flowers with leaves, and decorative string bows on the side.
"Ranka, I think you'd really make this mixed look work," she declares, handing them over to her. Alouette seems to love her other pick, too, Sheryl notes with no small amount of pride. "Are we ready to move on to accessories? Or do you need a little more time to pick the look you want, Akane?"

Ranka picks out something new, and Akane's eyes widen a bit. It is much bolder -- but Ranka's respected her preference for skirts, too... She has to turn it over a bit in her head. "... Hmmm --," and here she looks to Rikka, thoughtfully. (She knows who she's trying to impress.)
Rikka seems enthused about it, too -- which means that Akane immediately affirms, "Yeah, I think I'll probably pick up all of these... I've been spending a little more time around the water lately, so it's probably smart, right?" It's always good to have more than one look. A bit of mischief crosses into her expression as she notes, "And I mean -- I can just wear a swimsuit around the house a little even if I don't go to the beach... some days it really is too hot."
She's already plotting. She mentally loops back a little to the lesbians comment when Alouette comments on it, noting, "I'd say half is a little much, but on the other hand, like... ahahha..." It's not like she can deny it. When it's pointed out that she and Rikka would match -- and indeed, now they have rather a lot of matching options -- Akane just smiles dreamily. She's not even going to fight it this time. She scoots along, agreeing, "I do look good in red. If I didn't, I guess I wouldn't be 'Akane,' huh~"
When Sheryl recommends something to Ranka, Akane nods enthusiastically. "I think that's perfect for you, Ranka! It's cute but it still, like... highlights some features. I think it'll really pop."
When she's asked if she needs more time, Akane shakes her head. "I'm fine! I honestly kinda want to buy all of these, so I'm game to start picking out accessories... though trying some stuff on before committing like that might be an okay plan."

Ranka looks astounded as Rikka raises her hand like that, to say Guilty as Charged, like just full on startled face. And then there's a small laugh and a blush- "Oh!"
In that moment she might look between Rikka and Akane, as if she were just given new context to her behavior.
And after a moment it becomes a smile, "Well, as a fellow Sheryl fan-" And fellow girl lover, not that she'd say that aloud, "-I'm glad you're with us!"
Between that and Alouette's answer, Ranka suddenly wonders if all of them like girls here. Well, she definitely hopes Sheryl does at least...
"It suddenly doesn't feel like such an exaggeration..." Ranka notes quietly of Akane's assertion on half of Sheryl's fanbase being lesbians.
She nods quickly as Sheryl mentions that Akane can mix and match, "Ah, yes!" And at what Akane says, "It can't hurt to have options and-" Around the house??? She catches the tease, then looks to Rikka, and back, as she looks away, a small blush on her face, "Well, I have a feeling someone will appreciate that..."
Sheryl though, finds an option for her, and Ranka looks at the mixed look, and Sheryl can slowly see her hair rising under her hat, "Oh! That's adorable! I'll definitely need to pick up some matching accessories but-!" If it fits, she seems sold. Especially after Akane gives her vote of confidence on it too.
"It feels like we've got a pretty good number of options... should we hit the dressing rooms?"
There's this tone of shyness there. Perhaps it's hitting her just how much she actually enjoys... being attracted to girls too.

"Yeah, I really love your fashion sense." Rikka agrees about Akane, backing up Alouette. She's biased, of course.
Ranka looks startled for a moment - and then comes to a realisation. She seems to have drawn a certain connection, too... Rikka smiles and laughs, just a little.
"Thanks. I'm glad to be with you." She replies.
Akane looks her way, and Rikka nods approvingly
"I think you'd look great." Rikka assures. Which, seems to be all Akane needs.
"Definitely." Rikka agrees. Wearing them around the house... she looks Ranka's way for a moment. "I can't say you're wrong."
...She does seem pleased, too, when Alouette points out that they match perfectly.
"You do. You look incredible in red." Rikka assures Akane.
She nods, though, at the suggestion of moving toward the dressing rooms.
"Yeah, I'm eager to try these on." Rikka says, collecting her choices. ...And eager to see what the others look like, too. They can accessorize from there - she already has some ideas.

"I'm proud to be among them, too." Alouette says of the lesbians in Sheryl's fanbase, pun totally intended. And between all that flirting Akane and Rikka are doing, it's clear pretty much everyone here feels the same.
Like -- seriously? Wearing a swimsuit around the house? Who does that if they're not trying to impress someone? She can't blame Akane for being like this, and she does throw in another reason, saying, "Besides, don't you have a pool at the villa? You'd probably get a lot of use out of them there, too."
And when Sheryl presents Ranka with that mixed look, Alouette is once again impressed how she's able to make such a perfect outfit out of nothing. "I'd love to see that one on you too, Ranka." Alouette nods, seconding Akane's seal of approval there.
She's just about satisfied with her own options, but she does spot something that might look good on Sheryl. It only feels right to suggest something to her, after she was so helpful. Presenting a beige pair of heeled sandals, she asks "How do these look? I bet they'd work well with pretty much any swimsuit... and they definitely feel like your style."
But once that's done with, everyone seems just about ready to try out their picks. "I'm good to go!" Alouette affirms. "And I'm considering buying everything I have picked out too. It'd definitely be nice to have multiple, I think." And while Sheryl's second choice might be her favourite, she'd be sad to leave without Ranka's pick as well.

"Sure. There's always the pool instead, too--and a pool can just be your bathtub if it comes down to that," Sheryl tells Akane with a casual shrug. That might seem strangely low-standards for Sheryl Nome, but, well... she wasn't always rich and famous.
Besides--isn't it fun to splash around in a pool for two~?
The continued conversation of the number of girl-likers in Sheryl's fanbase--and in this group specifically--gets another chuckle out of her. She doesn't weigh in if she is a girl-liker, but based on her attitude, it's crystal clear she doesn't mind it at all. "Always a pleasure to bring kindred spirits together," she says, flipping her hair with a coquettish smile. ...Yup, she doesn't mind it at all.
Ranka's delight in her choice for her gets another pleased smile out of Sheryl. This has been such a productive shopping trip so far! Akane seems ready to go too--though she suggests that it might not be bad to try things on before committing to accessories. "It's good to know what you've got to accessorize with too! But that's true--it's fun to show off first~."
She doesn't suggest that finding out what fits first might be an issue. It genuinely doesn't occur to her, what with her having her own personal tailor. Ranka and Rikka both are leaning towards trying on the suits too, so she nods. Before she can speak, Alouette picks up a pair of shoes--accessories, sure, but Sheryl isn't at all against them.
"Ooh, I do like those!" she says, hooking them by the back strap onto a pair of fingers. She winks at Alouette. "Good eye~. You'll be nailing your personal style in no time!" With a bright smile, she half-turns, tossing her hair along the way. "To the dressing rooms! They should be in the back--follow me!"
Sheryl won't hesitate to be the leader of this group in that respect... even though this is her first time at this store. Fortunately, clothing stores tend to be alike in that respect, so she'll be mostly right. Trying on swimsuits will be grand fun too--as will posing for her girl-liking friends once she's got them on. o/`
Between the melon-styled green bikini she has already, and a shimmering black bikini she'll spot later, she's definitely got her main looks for this summer down. No doubt the others will too--and the accessories section will only accentuate those looks even more.
