One footstep after another to the edge, a single toe dipping down to touch the lukewarm, salty water. The feel of nylon and electrodes to her skin and cold metal to her forehead is subtle. Overhead, upon the speaker someone drones a command, "Puru-1, enter the tank and commence the test." There was no hesitation as she let herself fall into the water, a brief moment of bracing submersion, before levelling off on the surface. A heavy metal dome closed overhead with a click and all light ceases to exist. Floating in soundless darkness with her eyes closed, the sense of time passing just ceased, but eventually it begins.

A sensation that something is out there. Something familiar, like the boogeyman your parents whispered to you in childhood if you didn't behave. Perhaps you didn't, maybe there is something indelible marked into you from your lifespan, something created from the tragedy and despair of the Universal Century. Whether from sin, or guilt, or regret. And now, that's caught up to you.
She's here.
It melts out of the void dark, as if it were swimming and slowly breaking the surface, crawling out of it sideways towards you. Locks of orange hair set in a familiar way, but through her face you just see a hole where innocence or joy might have been, forcing you to stare into the void she came out of. Slender arms push, and pull their way out, as it forces itself inexorably towards you.
She reaches.

She seizes, and immediately hands flood your vision, smothering in how they grasp you from all sides and all angles, covering you until they are all you can feel.

It ends abruptly, like that moment of impact in a dream where you are falling.
