- Summary: The up and coming idol/movie star, Ranka Lee, suddenly finds her career cut short by the petty jealousies of the entitled. And Something doesn't like that.
Ranka is laughing with her friends as they eat dinner, now wearing the seashell Alto gave her around her neck, when abruptly a panicked Elmo runs up, "Ranka! Big News! Big News!" Ranka stands up quickly, running over to him, "Did something happen?"
"Well... let's move a little further away."
Ranka seems worried, given that he shouted that out and then didn't feel like he could say that publically.
~A few hours back~
Miranda Merin finally gets up from behind the group's resting spot, she'd been sulking at trying to flag Sheryl down about four separate times while not receiving so much as acknowledgement of her existence.
As she gets up she hears her say to Alto, 'You should take some lessons in being supportive from Ranka!' Petulantly, she turns and heads back...
"I cannot believe that she's ignoring me in favor of that stupid little-!"
That's the same moment she slips on a rock in this uneven footing. Laying there, she gives this small shriek of fury. "THAT'S IT-!"
~Back to now~
"I'm... fired?" Ranka repeats the words to Elmo, in disbelief. Elmo takes off his hat, and rubs the back of his head, "Yeah Ranka, I'm sorry, she says it's your fault that she sprained her ankle and she complained to the director."
"But I didn't do anything! She wasn't even with us most of the hike up!" He rubs the back of his head again and sighs, "Yeah I figured. She just... doesn't like you apparently. That's show business kid. The director said you can stick around just, in a 'no hard feelings' kind of way as thanks for all the help GUTS has given them but- you're out of the film."
A glance is given to Miranda in the distance laying on a beach chair with her leg propped up, who tips her sunglasses, and sends a small 'goodbye' wave her way.
Ranka just stares for a few long moments, before a breakdown happens all at once. Tears forming in her eyes, she lowers her head and flees in the opposite direction across the beach, not really caring in what direction she heads...
