The Black Knights hangar is a secret place in Area 11. Usually, for meetings and things they use the obscene luxury bus, but that's sheltered here too. Indeed, while there are a few members of Area 11's home grown terrorist group keeping watch on cameras, Emilia seems to have the hangar largely to herself.

This is good, for but a few months ago, her KMF was reduced to scrap by Princess Cornelia li Britannia. She's been doing what she can with the Close Combat Burai's and the beat up Savage they had laying around.

But it seems one of their allies has managed to sneak some additional suits into Nagoya, and Emilia has been encouraged to see if anything would suit. She looks at what's arrived. The Messer in the corner towers over the rest of the units in the hangar, while a Type 96 Kai and an Enyo 109 sit next to it. She's been getting used to Arm Slave cockpits, but could she justify taking the 96 from a better pilot? Ai had said something about getting something special, too.

She wandered over a table, where a couple of playing cards depicted a... weird orange guy. These were also supposed to be unit options. She has no idea what to do with these. She sighs, and pulls down the hood on her pilot suit, letting her lavender hair fall free, past her hips. "Wh-what should I... d-d-do?"

<Pose Tracker> Killy Garrett has posed.

Killy wandered into the Black Knights hangar, a few things on her mind. She wanted to talk to some people here, but its mostly been empty ever since she arrived a few days ago. However today was not the case as she spotted a flash of lavender hair at a nearby table, a color she was so familiar with.

Killy started walking over, her heels clacking against the hangars floor. When she got closer she was able to confirm the identity of the person, Emilia Eschonbach. Perfect. Just the person she wanted to talk to.

You must be Emilia. Killy said with a warm smile upon reaching the table. Im Killy Garrett, I arrived here a few days ago. Its nice to finally meet you. Killy extended her hand for a handshake, noting that the girl looks troubled.

The sound of someone approaching pulls Emmy up from her thoughts, and she turns to see- a tall blonde woman approaching her. She's not a woman she recognizes but she couldn't wander around inside the base that easily if she wasn't meant to be here. Was she one of their partners?

The fact that she extends a hand and says she was wanting to meet her is... definitely a surprise. She blinks a few times, her emerald green eyes looking up into Killy's. "Y-Yes, I a-am." She responds. It takes her a second to take the hand extended, but she does shake it. Her grip isn't particularly firm, but it's more than she used to.

"Um, was th-there something y-y-you wanted me for, um, M-Ms Garrett? I-I'm only a p-pilot here, I d-d-don't know how I c-could help." She looks a little embarrassed, her hand instinctively going to the golden locket that's held around her neck by an e-carbon cord.

A locket that she doesn't know her father gifted to her mother.

Killy softened her grip before letting go, a smile still on her face. Her eyes wandered to the golden locket around embarrassed girl's neck, it looked important to her.

"I hope I didn't catch you at a bad time, I wanted to talk to you about something rather important concerning you. But first you must confirm something." Killy folded her arms, looking Emilia in the eyes. "Is it true that you are Garma Zabi's daughter?" Killy already knew the answer, Emilia's hair color was so familiar she would recognize it anywhere.

<Pose Tracker> Emilia Eschonbach has posed.

"S-Something important?" Emilia seems caught on the back foot. "Wh-wh-what do you-" She steels herself as Killy asserts there's 'something she must confirm' and her eyes harden. She seems ready to step forward and defy her- until the question leaves Killy's lips.

'Is it true that you are Garma Zabi's daughter?'

That causes Emilia's eyes to widen. She knows there are people that know but... No one has ever asked her. No one has ever thought to ask. Emilia finds herself unable to speak for a minute, clinging to the locket. She's glad that there are so few people here... but in the same vein...

She doesn't speak in response. Instead.. she nods in response, and clicks open the locket so that pictures can say the thousand words she lacks. She holds it so Killy can see what's inside.

On one side, there is a picture of Garma Zabi and Icelina Eschonbach, in sometime in the middle of 0079. Icelina is wearing the locket Emilia is now holding. On the other is a picture of Icelina and Emilia, where Emilia is only two or three years old. There's a simple engraving: My Most Beloved.

Emilia closes the locket shorlty after, and slips it under the turtleneck of her suit. "...Z-Z-Zeon?" She asks, finally sputtering a quarter of the question to Killy. She's recovering quickly, at least.

Killy awaited Emilia's answer, hoping she didn't overwhelm the poor girl as she clung to her locket. Eventually she nodded, and Killy sighed a sigh of relief, smile softening when she saw what was inside the locket.

There was a picture of Garma and what clearly was his lover, Emilia's mom. And on the other hand was the same woman along with a small child, Killy figured it was Emilia. "Beautiful, you must really treasure this locket."

Killy nodded. "One Year War veteran. You made enough appearances to catch the eye of many people, me included. Rumors went around and I had to confirm for myself." Killy paused, her smile fading as a serious look replaces it. "...but you might've caught the eye of the wrong people too."

<Pose Tracker> Emilia Eschonbach has posed.

Emilia nods slowly.. "Y-Yeah..." Her response is quiet. "I-it's... A-all I have of th-them." She's curious, though. Killy isn't what she expected of someone who fought in the One Year War. She expected gruff veterans like Captain Zinnerman, sure.

        "...I n-never thought that. I-I'd get another ch-chance to s-s-see Side Th-Three. And.. I d-didn't. Didn't th-th-think anyone w-w-would kn-know." There's something in there beyond sadness. There's anger. "A-after all... n-n-no one. E-e-ever looked f-for me. Before." Someone HAD to know, surely.

Killy interrupts her bubbling anger though. "W-wrong people?" Did she mean Captain Zinnerman? Or someone else? The people chasing Mineva and Banagher? "Wh-what do you m-mean?"

<Pose Tracker> Killy Garrett has posed.

Killy's smile turned wistful as Emilia mentioned that the locket was the last thing she of her parents, recounting her own memories of Garma before his death in the One Year war. "Take good care of it, something like that is very precious."

"It's okay, it happens." She nodded understandingly, not blaming the girl for wanting to see what could've been her home had things been different. Killy was surprised to see the Emilia getting angry, but she quickly gave the shorter girl a warm smile. "Regardless, I'm glad you did. Because otherwise we wouldn't have met, isn't that right?"

"I must ask you to be more careful however. Many people will want to move you around for their gain and take advantage of you as a descendant of Zabi. I don't know how far the rumors spread, but I wouldn't be surprised if they reached the Sleeves."

<Pose Tracker> Emilia Eschonbach has posed.

Emilia nods. "I d-d-do. It's... the second m-most important thing in. In my life." She watches Killy's face, The expression makes her think. Why would she... There's something missing in this puzzle to Emmy, and she starts putting together pieces.

"Th-that's t-true. I j-j-just..." She's derailed again. They *have* reached the Sleeves. Does Zero not want that Alliance known to Miss Garrett's organization? "...I. I kn-know. G-G-Grandfather m-must know t-t-too. M-Maybe he w-w-was saving it to... k-keep hurting me." After all, if Killy was looking for her-

        Killy was looking for *her*.

"M-Miss Garrett... why d-d-did you... s-s-say you had to... p-personally confirm who I am?" She looks up into Killy's eyes, determined. Forceful. "I-If... I-if who I am is. S-so obvious..." Kallen could tell from a picture. "Why... c-c-come here? T-to see me?"

<Pose Tracker> Killy Garrett has posed.

Killy wondered what was the first thing, but decided not to dwell on it right now. "Your grandfather?" She asked. Judging from Emilia's tone and what she said, her life might not be the best at home.

That sad smile appeard on Killy's face again as she looks at her Messer in the corner, specifically the emblem on its shoulder. "I knew Garma personally. I looked up to him, and I was very upset when I received the news." She continued, referencing his death but not mentioning it outright. "The Zabi family's dictatorship reduced the conflict to a bloody war of attrition, and many believe that Garma was our only hope to put a stop to it. I believe so too, that the war would've changed for the better had he survived." Killy then looks at Emilia with a gentle smile. "So when I heard the rumor that he had a daughter I just had to see her for myself. I have to look out for her. For him."

<Pose Tracker> Emilia Eschonbach has posed.

"...G-Grandfather hates m-me. H-he's Blue C-Cosmos and NLA too." She pauses. "I-I'm a 'h-half zeke bastard' after all." Weirdly, Emmy sounds *happy* saying that, despite the venom it was thrown at her. "I h-h-hate him, too but... he h-has the power r-right now... But I'll f-f-find a way to g-get him o-out of my life." She looks down. "I have t-to. Soon."

        'I knew Garma personally.'

Emilia looks up at Killy, her eyes the sign of dinnerplates. You might just as well have told her that fairy tales were real and and a pegasus has arrived to carry her away. "Y-y-y-you d-d-did?"

For the first time, Emmy takes a step forward, getting perhaps too close into Killy's personal space. "Wh-wh-what was he l-like? What k-k-kind of p-person was he? P-p-please, t-tell me. Anything. A-a-anything at all!"

<Pose Tracker> Killy Garrett has posed.

Killy frowned, what kind of person hates their own granddaughter? "That's...awful, I'm sorry to hear that." Killy decided not to dwell on it for now, not wanting to dampen the mood.

Emilia's sudden enthusiasm caught her off guard, but Killy quickly smiled, happy to see Emilia want to know more about her father. She stood still, seemingly unfazed by the sudden invasion of personal space. "He wasn't like the rest of the Zabi family, less focused on conquest but more compassionate and with a strong desire to prove himself to the rest of the family, especially his older siblings."

"It's the good who die first... He always liked that quote, he was too pure for a war that cruel."

<Pose Tracker> Emilia Eschonbach has posed.

Emilia seems not to dwell on her grandfather. There's the chance to learn about a man who died long before she was born. Her memories cast back to that museum, that pulled no bunches. That outlined everything the Zabi's did.

To hear her father wasn't like them...

Tears start to flow from Emmy's eyes. Even this... even this was more than she knew before. And when Killy delivers that quote, Emmy freezes. It was true, wasn't? Mom was dead, but Grandfather was alive...

But it meant that her father was a good man, didn't it?

Suddenly, with no warning, Emmy lunges forward to hug Killy, tightly and fiercely. Whatever trepidation she had has disappeared. If Killy lets her, she'll sob against her. After a few moments... she finally speaks up.

"Th-th-thank y-you..." She'd wanted to know for so long. And now she does.

Her father was a good man.

<Pose Tracker> Killy Garrett has posed.

The tears started flowing, and Killy was concerned at first. But that quickly dissipated after Emilia lunged at her, pulling her into a hug.

She didn't expect a hug this tight and fierce from Emilia, but Killy quickly reciprocated the hug. She held Emilia close, letting her sob for as long as she needs against her. She didn't mind at all.

"You're welcome." Killy said gently. "If there's anything else you need, don't hesitate to ask."

It might makes sense if Killy could understand the value of the gift she just gave. Her mom couldn't tell her much about her father. But now... Now Emilia has a link, however tenuous, to this man everyone else treated as a historical figure. He's not just the man in the pictures any more.

She gives a nod. Her eyes are still teary, there's a smile on her face. "I... I w-w-will..." She pauses. Maybe there's something she can ask for, even now.

She finally releases the hug. "Um... M-Miss Killy... would it be o-okay if we... t-t-talked more? Later?" It's clear she's overwhelmed right now but... "I-I'd like... to hear m-more about my f-father. A-and... about y-you." She fidgets with her hands. "I... th-there's so m-much I w-want to know about."

<Pose Tracker> Killy Garrett has posed.

Killy looked into Emilia's teary emerald eyes and smiled back, happy to hear Emilia call her by her first name.

Emilia finally let go of her, leaving a sizeable tear stain on her uniform. But Killy didn't mind, they were happy tears. Folding her arms, Killy nodded, more than happy to talk to Emilia later. "Of course. I would love to, Emilia."
