Little owls that share their secrets lurk in so many corners of the world. The wisdom they sing held only for themselves - and they’ll hide in attics and balconies aplenty to obtain it.
One of them provided a time. A set of coordinates. An ideal number of recording implements to have on hand.
…and - a single little attached note.

…in the underbelly of Tsutsujidai, a resting titan with an inquisitive eye prepares herself for the conflict erupting in Side 2, on the doorstep of the PLANTs. Does Asciel want to observe this? She’s at least free from monitoring herself -too- intently - as long as her few ‘guests’ don’t stay outside approved zones, she’s sure they won’t get up to too much trouble.
It’s ‘nice’, then, to relax for a bit in between scouting a few interesting nodes within this colony of mystery. The feeling of Julia Ampere’s key repairs and of Ai’s diligent little services relax Asciel greatly, and she settles in to observe. A conflict raging outside of Jachin Due…
Well, not exactly the most cozy and warm thing to observe, but…Asciel’s more than used to it. Records like these are simply far too common. She wonders throughout, however, why this battle is brought to her doorstep. Is it just that this will spell the defeat of the PLANTs? For the enemy to be so near…surely this means they are close to their entrapment.
Is it something to do with the Three Ships Alliance - that most confounding yet needed banner of ‘heroes’ rising to put an end to this madness? The fact that they’ve come to exist is both a relief - and a quandary. Even at this stage, the primary leverage Asciel herself has to steer such a conflict in her favor is tiny. The ones who assembled this force that can surely only last so long - can they be counted upon? Will they be reliable enough to put an end to this, or will they simply be martyrs brushed aside by history?
…The nuclear missiles are brought out in force, and Asciel cannot help but shiver at the sight of such monstrous weapons brought to bear. Still so many of these things meant to poison and decimate the land. Sickening that even today an arsenal of these would launch so carelessly - and she can anticipate the idea that this many missiles can’t be intercepted. The senseless destruction of colonies . . . is that what she was tasked to watch? Who in her flock of contacts would claim she’d enjoy watching this?
…and then, retribution.
So shortly after the nuclear destruction, a great -light- begins to break, like the birth of a new star. Hotter. Hotter, Brighter and brighter. What in the world is this-? In a way, the sheer vastness of the light is almost beautiful to Asciel, and yet…terrifying. The capacity to alter the world is eminent in this object. This cannot genuinely be a class of particle beam this big-
It rings out. Arcing towards the blue planet bel-
