  • Summary: Orbit Base receives a curious visit from one of NERV's Super AI; Alouette does her best to answer his questions.
<Pose Tracker> Zan has posed.

There was a reason that Zan was in the NERV division, but now having seen the... terror of it he had started seeking answers with his limited clearance. That had lead to Zan after getting repaired from the Angel fights and getting clearance to head back to orbit to consider something he finally decided to do so.

His wording for the request was perhaps a bit odd when it came through. "I wanna know about the GGG, Triple Zero, and my 'predecessors'. Can I come over?"

It was odd wording, but he was also practically one of the younger AIs out there. All that was sent before he even approached after his latest repairs on the Orbital Ring that may have been watched as the Base circled the planet.

On the next rotation of the Base, he finally approached it to land the larger train body in a hanger before being guided towards the Big Order Room where he looked around carefully. Unlike the previous generation, it's obvious he's not built for combat. He's more blocky, more industrial looking. His weapons aren't with him but it's obvious he has attachment areas for them on the backside, and he has solar panels that are visible among other things.

That's at a glance so far. Oh, and he's broad bodied in looks. Enough that he isn't taking a seat or anything for fear of breaking someone else's by accident.

<Pose Tracker> Alouette Pommier has posed.

When Alouette was sifting through 3G's official paperwork, Zan's request certainly stood out as an odd one. Still, there was not particularly a reason to turn it down. Alouette does remember Zan from when they fought together against the Triple Zero forces who had infected NERV's Magi. And so, Zan is welcomed to 3G Orbit Base's Main Order Room.

Besides, Alouette feels sympathy for the young Super AI: she's in a similar position herself, having spent so many years away from 3G. Still, she supposes that she does have the knowledge to answer his questions, having many fond memories working with 3G's Brave Corps of old when she was a child, and being at the forefront of the fight against Triple Zero now.

Alouette is in the Main Order Room for today, still investigating BioNet's activities to ensure nothing else happens in the wake of the attack on Paris. It all seems to be clear, for now.

As Zan arrives, awkwardly motioning through the room, Alouette takes the time to assist him. "Bonjour, you must be.. Zan, right? First of all, you can take a seat.. there if you would like." She points towards the larger seats, meant to accommodate the many larger robots who find themselves in the Orbit Base. "You came with questions about 3G's situation, right? It's a long story, and unfortunately Chief Guy Shishioh is busy after his recent injuries, but I can try to explain the best I can."

<Pose Tracker> Zan has posed.

Zan gives a grateful nod, "Howdy... um... hello. My apologies, I am still getting used to greetings." The offer of a seat has him staring a bit, then he nods. "Thank you?"

The thought of more being injured has Zan looking at her carefully, optics zooming in. "Am I needed to assist? I... oh. The BioNet activities? I picked up a little about that while I was doing my duties on the Orbital Ring."

Moving to seat himself carefully, Zan looks at Alouette.

"My designation is BT-104 Zan, but I prefer Zan as my primary designation. A previous crew member said it was easier to say than the full name while I was in hiding." He replies.

"As for my questions, I have... many. Some official, and some... I am told may be surprising? My AI had not developed when the previous 3G was around, for example, and I wish to know more of them. And what happened to turn them into what they are now."

<Pose Tracker> Alouette Pommier has posed.

"That is okay, and welcome to Orbit Base!" Alouette nods, at his greeting. She has never been one to worry too much about formalities, although she still wants to signal that he shouldn't need to worry about it, either.

Alouette shakes her head when Zan asks if he is required to assist. "No need. It seems BioNet Paris is currently in shambles more than anything and we shouldn't expect an attack..." She briefly smiles. "Besides, you're our guest right now."

Alouette nods when Zan states his preference for how he is referred. "Understood, I'll keep just calling you 'Zan', then."

And then the questions come in.. about the old 3G. Alouette looks to be deep in thought for a moment, and then she clicks and scrolls, and photos of the Brave Corps pop onto the screen. The four dragon brothers, the two dragon sisters, Volfogg, Mic Sounders, Goldymarg.. and Galeon.

"I was most familiar with AnRyu and KoRyu, the dragon sisters from France.. they came along when Renais and I used to hunt down BioNet. But they were all very kind and very strong. Their personalities were all quite different but they all shared one aspect: they never gave up."

Alouette looks wistful as she recounts the truth of what happened to them. "That still hasn't changed. But when they set off for Jupiter, they were infected with an energy called Oath Over Omega, or Triple Zero. They're still just as they used to be.. with a new goal."

She clicks a few more times, bringing up the official report to NERV on Triple Zero. "The eradication of miracles, and by extension, all living beings... because we are capable of creating them."

"Purification is possible, as with Renais. But it certainly isn't easy: you've seen what those infected with Triple Zero are capable of." Crossing her arms, she continues. "Still, we will purify all of them, and return them safely. There's no choice in that matter."

Closing the report, she turns back to Zan. "And that's the story... do you have further questions?"

<Pose Tracker> Zan has posed.

Zan looks thoughtful, even moving a hand to his chin as he watches. The face plate really isn't meant to expression much emotions. That might need to be fixed one of these days. It looks like he might be frowning in thought.

"A few. I know on my own I may not be a match for them. What can I do to help? And am I in danger of being infected by the Triple Zero being an AI?" He asks.

The photos are watched carefully, each one. Studying them. The mention of the dragon sisters from France has Zan seeming to consider, then nodding. "I remember one of my previous crew memberss mentioning seeing them once when he was a child. The old news files showed them as kind and strong as well. What were the others like? I believe some of them looked to be based around constructive vehicles like myself? Did they have side duties of helping in such ways?"

He hesitates, almost visibly, "Did they have... hobbies, I believe it is called? What did they... do in their spare time?"

<Pose Tracker> Alouette Pommier has posed.

What can he do to help... a good question. "It's difficult for most to do anything substantial, aside from our purifiers, but the extra combat support is always appreciated. Aside from that, once the member is purified, your rescue capabilities might be invaluable in bringing them to safety."

At the next part of the question, Alouette frowns a little. "The scary part about Triple Zero is that it can affect anyone. Person, AI... it doesn't discriminate." Remaining optimistic, she adds. "It's very unlikely we're at risk, though. It takes long-term exposure, which 3G only came into contact with due to their proximity to Jupiter."

Zan brings up Brave Robots who could transform into construction vehicles, which sounds like the dragon brothers, and she double clicks their images, revealing their vehicle forms. "Yes! Many of them can transform into support vehicles, extending ladders and cranes to those who needed them. They are just as much rescue units as they are combat units, if not more so." She looks towards Zan and she smiles again. "I think a lot of aspects of them are reflected in you.. being able to help people is equally as important."

As for hobbies... "They sure did. Mic Sounders, for example, loves to play rock music." Noticing Zan's hesitation, she asks, "What do you do in your own spare time, Zan?"

<Pose Tracker> Zan has posed.

Zan seems to consider, "Oh, good. I was worried about harming anyone if I was infected due to my larger form's size."

He stares at the images, "The crane looks almost like one of the modules I can use in my larger form." That is definitely a smile from him. "I do like helping people when I can."

And then comes the question that he probably should have expected. "At the moment... think and look over files. Schematics and news files. But that is due to my duties on the railways."

He seems to consider, "What spare time I have had lately has had me thinking about this and the Evangelion Children that I have met. I would like to try to be creative and build a machine or something useful to ones like myself."

The slight frown returns, "Perhaps one day I will be able to help make new paths for people to travel."

<Pose Tracker> Alouette Pommier has posed.

Zan is very considerate, Alouette thinks. She respects the care that Zan puts into avoiding harming others, even in the face of such an existential threat such as Triple Zero.

Alouette slowly nods as Zan goes through what he has been doing and thinking about lately.

The mention of the Evangelion children stands out to her.. she's never had much time to spend with them even though they are her colleagues. They've always proven themselves to be trustworthy though, with Administrator Nagisa always being a reassuring presence, Shinji deploying in many of the same battles as her recently, and Rei being present for the Algernon cafeteria scare. She worries about them sometimes... like her, they are so young with such big roles to fill. "The Evangelion children... how are they? Have you gotten along with them?"

The mention of building a machine and helping make paths for others also interests Alouette, and she perks her head up. "Aside from an operator, I'm something of a designer myself, too, so... I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with."

<Pose Tracker> Zan has posed.

Zan gives a nod, "The Evangelion children were fine when I was last on the planet side. I was a bit worried about Rei Ayanami after the MAGI infection battle. The others seemed to be doing fine after the..." He pauses.

"I neglected to find out what that Angel's designation is. The one that came from a volcano recently." He states.

"But as far as physical health, they seemed to be in good standing. I... am not sure on the rest. They did seem to get along fine with myself on my initial introduction. Their Evangelions surprised me with how tall they are. Much like the Angel's... AT field surprised me."

<Pose Tracker> Alouette Pommier has posed.

Alouette nods in return; it is good to hear the Evangelion pilots seem to be doing well. Rei was the one she worried for most too, the last she had seen her, an ordinary visit turned into a living slasher-horror movie.

"Ah.. the Angel. I believe they called it Sandalphon? 3G wasn't able to deploy, but I still read the report.. it seems like you all did well out there."

Zan also mentions his surprise at the AT Field and Alouette agrees. "I'm not sure what to make of the AT Fields either. They work like the Super Mechanoids' Protect Shade, and the Zonder Barriers, but there is something unusual about them..."

As the conversation about the Evangelion pilots and the Ninth Angel begin to fade, Alouette folds her hands together. It was nice being able to talk to another Super AI, and the conversation also gave her a certain sense of nostalgia. "Thank you for coming, Zan, and.. I hope I could properly answer your questions."

<Pose Tracker> Zan has posed.

Zan rises from his seat, nodding. "Thank you for letting me come here. And yes. Most of my questions were answered. I will see what I can do to make some new designs."

He seems to consider. "The AT Field was strange. I will transmit the data I received over to you upon my encounter with it as Iron Zanrailer. I attempted to land on the Angel in order to immobilize it better. The AT Field stopped my descent. My usual weight in that form is significant. I have never had to judge the weight of it."

He gives a nod, "I should be going. Another call came in of rail damage on the orbital side that I am needed for. A small scale skirmish that ended up damaging the tracks. Thank you for answering my questions."

He turns to head out of the Room, headed back to his train body no doubt to launch for more repairs. His expression did look thoughtful, or near as could be told.
