  • Where: AEU Roadside
  • OOC - IC Date: 0096-07-01
  • Summary: Information has been leaked of a high profile G-Hound prisoner being transferred. This prisoner's description matches the description of the celestial being terrorist that self destructed his mobile suit months back. It appears his demise was simply a rumor put out by G-Hound to allow for time to interrogate the young pilot. The transfer of the prisoner and the few small remains of his suit will occur overnight, transferring him from a G-Hound compound to a high security Federation prison. The rumors are whoever enters this prison are never seen again. However it is a long trip between point A and B and who knows what could happen in that time.

<Pose Tracker> Gary Biaggi has posed.

Rumors have flowed to every corner of the earth sphere, and then some. The rumor was that the pilot who attempted to self destruct his gundam, did not in fact die but instead was captured by G-Hound. Now on this very night, months after having caught the pilot, G-Hound has finally decided to turn him and the remnants of his machine over to the federation.

The sun has long set and night has come as the prisoner convoy moves across the cleared highway in the AEU. Miles of highway have been cleared in each direction. Overhead are plenty of air platforms keeping the skies clear and providing chances for the main security detail of mobile suits to take a break and rest as needed over the next eight hours of transport.

Three vehicles are the center of all this attention, driving in a straight line, with the first and last obviously carrying mobile suit parts that could possibly be, maybe, pieces of Wing Gundam. Then in the center of it all is a large eighteen wheeler vehicle, with reinforced armor plating and on the inside of the container is a single life form. This must be the prisoner.

============Earlier that day: ===========

Treize Khushranada stands before the troops. "You all have probably heard the rumors. Today is the day we move the prisoner. " Stepping back he reveals a holotable showing the path they will be taking across the AEU. "The destination if there are no interruptions is a federation base off the Spanish coast."

The holographic table showing a zoomed in image of the three transport vehicles, "We will be transporting the prisoner by ground. It may be slower but it will provide a better tactical opportunity for retreat if we need. The prisoner, code named Celestial Being Victor Victor 1 will be in the middle transport, with each transport in the front and rear carrying the pilots suit. They will also act as distractions if needed."

Stepping back in front of the table, " The official mission is to get the prisoner to that federation outpost at all costs." The camera flickers for a moment and then turns off, filing the mission briefing in some database somewhere

<Pose Tracker> Seolla Schweizer has posed.

A lone shadow soars unfathomably high above the convoy - a distant wedge of a blue as pale as the sky. A falcon of steel, its eyes trained on the rolling landscape of the rocky Spanish coast.

It is a rare moment of tranquility in the life of turmoil Seolla Schweizer has only ever known - one that's enough to impart a slight numbness in her senses.

Here, circling thousands of feet above the world, gaze honed in on the transport to the exclusion of almost all else, she patently drifts off. The cockpit of the ReZEL is roomy enough to stretch out in, dampened enough to be quiet, adjustable enough for her to sprawl out and stare upwards, where she's fixed the displays to alert her to any changes in the convoy's movements.

"...Celestial Being..." Seolla murmurs under her breath, hovering as serenely as she does up here in the heavens. "...What a joke of a name. So self-righteous, so needy to make everyone breathless."

"There's no god up here that's gonna save everyone, no matter how much they try to invent one."

KTS: Seolla Schweizer has deployed in RGZ-95 ReZEL <WR Mode>.

<Pose Tracker> Ouka Nagisa has posed.

Meanwhile on the ground below, one of the units accompanying the convoy is a GAT-01D Long Dagger equipped with its add-on Fortestra gear. The additional weight provided by the weapons and armor slows down the otherwise lithe Long Dagger, but the missile rack and shoulder cannon makes for an intimidating deterrant. It moves at a comfortable cruise speed alongside the vehicles, while within the MP Gundam's cockpit 2nd Lieutenant Aurum-1 maintains overwatch.

Glancing at ReZEL flying overhead, Ouka listens through the faint hiss of static to her words. "Quiet on comms, Seolla..." She admonishes, but not unkindly.

She then opens a private audio-only channel to Seolla.

"I guess if there isn't a god, there will be someone who willt ry to make one." Ouka remarks softly, "... though I think we should all be afraid of those who try to play god. Especially with the lives of others. We'll teach them to fear their own mortality again soon enough."

Back on the open line, Aurum-1's voice can be heard both mature and reassuring: "Aurum-1 speaking. All clear as of current, no report of road blocks ahead of us. Continuing overwatch."

<Pose Tracker> Zechs Merquise has posed.

Lt. Zechs Merquise maintains a perimeter guard around the convoy in the statuesque guise of the Tallgeese, rotating at a slightly lower altitude in diametric opposition to Seolla's course-- which, in this case, is a cooperative trajectory. His own sensors are cranked to full, monitoring the surrounding areas in abundance of caution or diligence, even given the alleged weight of their mission. He has good reason to expect enemy interdiction, after all.

All sensor traces and silhouette analyses of the newest Celestial Being-aligned Gundams are loaded into the algorithms of the Lightning Count's own suit's CPU, and it's with anticipation more than paranoia that he awaits that ping... as Zechs' placid, melodic tones of ice broadcast to the allied forces.

"Humanity has always reached for the divine, Schweizer. And been more than willing to create it with one's own hand." The story of war is the story of a race of technology and tactical acumen; of escalating atrocity and unwise certitude. Truly the power wielded by alien and humanity alike would be worshipped not so long ago at all...

"Keep focused-- mark my words, it's not a question of if insurgents hit this convoy..." He's a seer; or an insider, with insight into the operation beyond the briefing offered. "But only one of when and 'how hard'. All units maintain alert and full readiness." The order comes in the calm, firm confidence of a man used to leading from the front; one already doing precisely that which he demands.

KTS: Patrick Colasour has deployed in AEU-09T AEU Enact Commander Type (Colasour) - Flight Mode.

<Pose Tracker> Patrick Colasour has posed.

It might be alarming to see a single AEU mobile suit approaching at speed from such an oblique angle - but fortunately, 2nd Lt. Colasour is being very accomodating, IFF loudly declaring the AEU ace's approach and backed up by a declaration over the comms that seems to forget that cockpit systems are perfectly capable of presenting audio at comfortable volume levels for their pilots.

"Excellent, I caught up with you! This is 2nd Lt. Colasour! I reached out to the brass because we're a little light along this route, and I thought, those Gundams have a knack for showing up where they're not wanted. And sure enough, I've been posted as your escort, as the AEU's most experienced Gundam fighter!"

The approaching Enact briefly unfolds, its humanoid form swinging its legs to help add weight to a smooth, arcing turn that brings Colasour out to the right wing of the formation, and one arm swings out in a cheerful wave before it folds cleanly back into its flight mode alongside the G-Hound aces. "If anyone ends up in trouble, just head my way! It's my job to bring you all safely in!"

<Pose Tracker> Nena Trinity has posed.

        --The Previous Day--

Nena sighs in exasperation, "Why do I have to go? It sounds boring..."

Johann, well used to Nena's antics, simply looks at her with his usual calm attitude, "This will be a joint mission with other Celestial Being cells. Your unit is best suited for such."

Nena groans, "Can't we just fly in, kill him and be done with it?"

Michael lets out a short bark of a laugh, "That's what I'd do!"

Johann glances at Michael, "That's why you're not going." Then back to Nena, "We need to know what information he might have told G-Hound."

Nena wonders, "Then we kill him?"

        Johann nods, "If necessary."

Nena slumps, "Fiiiiiiiiine. I'll go. But I expect something nice when I get back!"

Johann swiftly responds, "I'll send Michael to the store for some desserts."

Michael quips back in annoyance, "I'm not your errand boy!"

Nena leans forward towards Michael, "Pleeeeease?"

Michael rubs the back of his neck before saying, "Tch, fine."

        Nena grins victoriously, "Yey!"

        --Now--

At this point it's probably not too much of a surprise when the sky turns red, streams of crimson light stretching out above the convoy. After all this effect has been seen multiple times since the debut of the three Celestial Being Gundams with the red particles. The sight of those same red particles slowly falling from the sky like snow, along with the accompanying disruption of long range communications and reduction in effective sensor ranges, heralds the arrival of the Gundam Throne Drei.

Sure enough, the red and grey Gundam floats some distance away from the convoy, vents all across its backpack open and spewing out large swaths of those red particles. In the cockpit, Nena giggles quietly and says, "No calling for reinforcements for you!" Pause. Then, "Hey Haro, bring up the other Celestial Being units."

The purple robot nestled into its receptacle in front of Nena flaps its wings, "Roger. Roger." Sure enough, several screens pop up on Nena's panoramic display, showing the other units she's joined with today. The large jamming field she has unleashed should help cover their approach and make it more difficult to target them. At least until the particles fade.

Though, Nena glances over the screens and then looks disappointed, "Awwww, the blue and white one isn't here... Hey Haro, what do you think the pilot of that one is like?"

Haro buzzes back, "Focus on mission. Focus on mission."

Nena scoffs, rolling her eyes, "You're no fun." She then goes back to watching, maintaining her stealth field for now while the other Celestial Being units attack.

KTS: Nena Trinity targets Tieria Erde, Regina Everhart, and Duo Maxwell with Scatter.

<Pose Tracker> Tieria Erde has posed.

Tieria stands back in the Virtue, taking up the rear as the team of Celestial Being pilots approached. A rescue operation...how ridiculous. If it was up to Tieria, they would be executing this prisoner for putting the entire organization in danger with their incompetence. No matter, the manner of this pilot's punishment could come later. Celestial Being technology could not be allowed to remain in enemy hands.

The Virtue's GN Drive hums as the Meister opens a private channel to his allies.

"Don't mess up."

Closing the channel, the Virtue pulls out its bazooka and hefts it up, preparing to take aim.

<Pose Tracker> Duo Maxwell has posed.

So here's the thing. Earlier, the unflappable Duo Maxwell was just hanging about and eating and apple and telling some (possibly true) story about how he's done something spectacularly heroic to a gaggle of girls that he happened to be hanging around.

"... and that's when like fifteen ships came up over the horizon. And you know what the worst part was?" Duo winked at the small crowd in the middle of making them lean onto the edge of their proverbial seats. "... I was out of missiles." One of the girls gasps. It happens. "But me, being as resourceful as I am, I--"

The watch that's quite visible on his wrist since he keeps his sleeves all rolled up beeps with an alarm which takes Duo's attention. His eyes go slightly wide for just a moment as he skims the screen. "Uhhhhh... I'm gonna' have to finish the story next time, ladies. Sorry. Gotta' run. Duty calls." Another wink and the half eaten apple is tossed to one of the girls as he makes a backpedal and spin to put some distance between himself and his adoring fangirls. A Duo's work is never done.

During his relocation effort, Duo focuses in on the message he's checking out. He's had some feelers out there about certain this and certain thats and he's got a ping about one such this or that. A prisoner transfer. "Jackpot."

Let's fast forward up to now where we can catch up with Duo Maxwell in the cockpit of the XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe! He's got his usual smile on his face and his hands are all over the piloting controls as he moves that thing with some practiced ease to the location of such an important transferring of a prisoner. That's right, he's got everything from his HUD up and a couple of other screens to keep a close optic on the situation. Not to mention his Hyper Jammers better be doing their thing to keep him hidden from enemy scanners and what not. Even still, Duo hops on channel to make one of his signature quips.

"Alright, since nobody else is gonna' say it, I will." Pause for Comedic Timing Effect. "I've got a bad feeling about this."

With his quip away into the Celestial Being Comms Chatter, Duo switches back to stealth style piloting that Gundam Deathscythe as close to the convoy as possible. Should be even easier with that particle jamming field along for the ride as well.

"This'll be like takin' candy from a toothless baby." Hopefully, his comm was off for that one. Rude.

KTS: Nena Trinity scatters cover, making Tieria Erde harder to target!

KTS: Nena Trinity scatters cover, making Duo Maxwell harder to target!

<Pose Tracker> Regina Everhart has posed.

A pilot of Celestial Being had been captured, and was to be transported to a secure prison - at which point, rescue would be impossible. This could not be allowed to come to pass. Regina has no intention of abandoning this pilot to their fate. It has been determined that the most opportune time to strike would be during the transfer itself, and so, she has no choice.

Now.

They have only one opportunity to succeed - they need to make it count. The moon has risen. Regina's Maganac lies in wait with the mobile suit's beam-resistant cloak providing some camouflage against the darkness of night, awaiting for the signal. And then, the sky turns red, and particles begin to fall.

It's time.

"Understood." Regina replies impassively to Tieria's scolding not to mess up, an to Duo's quip. "...Mm."

It's not not a laugh - that's a good sign, right?

And so, Regina's Maganac charges from cover, using the chaos from Nena's jamming to approach. As it moves, the mobile suit draws out a Meteor Hammer, spinning it up to full momentum. A tilt of the head upward sends vulcan-fire sailing toward the ReZEL monitoring the transport caravan's air space, while the Maganac itself rushes down the Long Dagger, ducking into a quick leg sweep in an attempt to knock the defending mobile suit off balance.

Only then is the Meteor Hammer put to use - hurled out toward the prisoner transport truck, looking to wrap around a tire, armor plating, or anything of the sort - anything that could possibly be entangled and pulled to halt the vehicle's movement.

=======Mission Briefing continued =====

The moment the camera turns off, Treize waits for a moment with a smile before he looks at all the pilot in the room. "That is indeed the official mission. Now for the real mission."

Treize moves back to the table and presses a button as it zooms on to the prisoner transport, " There is no prisoner. We have intel that says that the pilot has not been keeping in regular contact, allowing us to take advantage of it. The prisoner transport itself has been strongly modified to take in as much data on being attacked as possible. This way we can take in as much data as possible from anyone who sticks their hand into our cookie jar."

Treize pauses a moment to allow for questions before he speaks up, " That is not to say there will be a life sign inside the transport. Within the transport will be a pilot of ours, within a upgraded remnant of the Gryps War. Our R&D sector has finished refurbishing an Agrissa, and it's pilot will be "

=========NOW==========

Gary Biaggi sits in the cockpit of the new unit and is in the process of kinda taking a nap. His orders were to wait here until the truck got attacked , if it ever got attacked. He was impatiently hoping the prophesied attack would come soon, because otherwise he sat in this damn thing for hours without any form of break.

That's when it happens and Gary decides he can wait no longer, especially not after he heard such slanderous words. Opening comms Gary's voice echos, <" Oh ho ho you think you are the AEU's most experienced Gundam fighter. I will have you know I have faced them with much better success then the immortal Colasour"> Of course it is this moment where system heat could be seen coming from the transport.

It is probably only luck that the red gundam, Throne Drei, shows up and scatters the private comm communication of anyone chewing him out for breaking silence. All he can hear now is static and Gary shakes his head. "I swear if I thought it would stick" The truck holding Gary swerves, as the hammer hits the cabin of the truck sending it spinning about and then rolling onto it's side and Gary trying to ignore the trip to the carnival ride in the process. .

"Finally" Gary flips some switches and the reason for the large transport is revealed as the Agrissa powers on and the transport is ripped apart from the inside, with a large red Mobile armor rises up. It stands on a total of 6 sharp arachnid like legs, with the upper half that of an Enact holding a beam saber in one hand and in the other a large rifle. On open comms he speaks up to all the celestial being, < "Oh help me Celestial Being. I am an imprisoned terrorist, please save me."> He mocks them for a moment before raise the rifle toward the throne "Well Hello there, " a single shot is fired at the Throne as a means of greetings.

KTS: Gary Biaggi targets Nena Trinity with HG B. Rifle Volley!

<Pose Tracker> Patrick Colasour has posed.

That last little quip from their... prisoner(?) would normally set him off, but Patrick Colasour actually does know a few things about Gundams. More importantly, there are some things he'll never forget. "That light..." He might not know how it works, but he knows what it means. "A Gundam!" The soft red glow narrows it down - one of the set of three. He'd love to tangle with it and bring home a souvenir, but Celestial Being Gundams come in packs, and with their sight cut down... "Alright. First they hit us with the freaky light, then we get charged down... Which means we're right where they expect us! Next, that big Gundam blows us away, hahaha... but bad luck, because Patrick Colasour has got your number today, Celestial Being! You shouldn't have tangled with the Immortal Colasour!"

With his back covered by the mobile armor, the Enact jets forward, Colasour seeking out the tell-tale glow of that tremendous bazooka from Moralia. His instruments don't counteract the GN particles, not really - but that fancy antenna is sensitive enough to notice that there's more than one big cluster nearby. And the great thing about missiles is, well, horseshoes and hand grenades, right? The Enact's legs open up, and the Gundam's position - or at least, what Patrick Colasour really hopes is the Gundam's position - is suddenly being raked by incoming explosives!

<Pose Tracker> Zechs Merquise has posed.

It happens in a flash; but then, it usually does. The reports of vulcan cannons, the clash of mobile armor on mobile armor-- battle is joined. Zechs' stark white gloves tighten on the controls of the Prototype, and for a moment, he begins to turn towards their initial assailant, tracking that motion alongside the flash of fire-- then, his sensors flash with an update. Other units move in, several of note, and one-- subject to a lucky partial identification based on optical data-- draws the Lightning Count's attention immediately. Gundam Deathscythe.

Blasting in under the cover of high-tech sensor foils, Duo is used to being all but invisible-- but it's only a half-truth to call Zechs' own counter-interdiction a feat of luck. His trajectory was based on sweeping for just that low-altitude, jammed assault; carefully calculated based on the limited combat data already gathered from the gundam's previous appearance... and the Lightning Count's own gambles based on a psychological profile of its pilot.

Still, in the moment, the Tallgeese can find no steady sensor lock on the high-speed Deathscythe below. Rather than crease Zechs' austere features with consternation, however... this fact draws a small half-smile to his face, a quiet moment of personal pleasure. "Weapons free, G-Hound; Federation forces. Defeat, capture, or destroy all CSB forces."

Zechs offers no input into the battle of ace egos, no claim to fame or personal declarations of intent and acumen; instead, his hands guide sensitive control mechanisms with delicate precision, swinging the Tallgeese around to hurtle forward, facing the ground-- and draws a manual aim on the racing Deathscythe, greeting the Gundam with the resounding report of a dober round, the massive cannon releasing a single, armor-rending and precise shot... even as the Tallgeese reaches out to the Deathscythe, seeking a tight-beam point to point communication handshake.

"Gundam Deathscythe; this is the Lightning Count. Your mission here cannot succeed." It's a polite notification, really; but the coldly matter-of-fact declaration is unlikely to immediately register as such.

<Pose Tracker> Seolla Schweizer has posed.

The switch is so easily flipped. From floatiness to determination the moment the insurgents make their move. Radio activity flares - and Seolla dives from the distant azure, like a bird of prey finding its meal.

Lunging at speeds enough to create a sonic boom in its wake, the ReZEL spins once in its unrelenting charge at the Maganac - thinking it's one that she can take out swiftly and breezily before moving onto the next.

The 'head' of the vivid blue Mobile Suit is its shield, Seolla figures, so while she takes evasive movements, the fact that plenty of the vulcans still pummel that surface is pushed straight through - and it's returned in kind with opening fire of her own, a few baleful yellow beams crying out from the shield-tip.

<"Ouka! I'll keep up the suppressive fire to pin this one down...don't hold back! These people are trying to wage war on the whole world...I'm not about to forgive them!!">

<Pose Tracker> Tieria Erde has posed.

The Virtue rattles a bit as the Enact's missiles hit it, Tieria taking in a sharp breath. This was nothing, his unit could take the punishment. This Enact was familiar, somehow. The memories it brought back were...

"Annoying."

        'Don't mess up.'

Nena hmphs, remarking to her Haro, "Somebody's taken one too many serious pills." The attack begins.

And Nena's eyes go wide, "What!? What is that!?" Her screen focuses in on the Agrissa. Like some kind of half mobile weapon, half spider. Nena cries out, "It's a trap!?" Nena looks down at her Haro, "What do we do now!?"

Purple Haro buzzes back with its usual tone, "Plan D4. Plan D4."

"Plan D4?" Nena glances to the side as the relevant mission plan pops up. She reads off, "In the event of the convoy being a trap... ... Proceed to a search and destroy footing?"

"... Now that's more like it! Those Celestial Being tactical forecasters think of everything."

The beam of light fired from the Agrissa streaks in towards the Throne Drei. The Gundam shifts its body to the side, placing the large shield on its left shoulder in the path of the beam. A brief barrier of red particles also pops up, the beam dissipating slightly before splashing out across the shield with naught but a small scorch mark.

Nena grins as she focuses her eyes on the Agrissa, "Searching done. Time to destroy!"

The Throne Drei rushes forward, both arms raising to aim the attached beam guns. They start to unleash a barrage of red bolts, raining crimson down on Gary's new machine.

<Pose Tracker> Ouka Nagisa has posed.

Of course right after declaring it all clear... that's when the sky opens up.

"Contacts!" Aurum-1's voice declares over the local G-Hound frequency, "Multiple units incoming. Detecting sensor interference from one of the units consistent with particles emitted by Celestial Being units. Moving to intercept. 2nd Lieutenant Schweizer, with me, we'll need to set up a defensive perimeter around the truck."

The Long Dagger sprints with surprising speed in spite of its weight, moving from near the front of the convoy towards the direction the contacts were detected from. It's not hard to guess that the Throne Drei isn't the only unit attacking the convoy. Even if Celestial Being is arrogant... they're probably not so stupid as to expect a single unit as being capable to take down a highly trained G-Hound detatchment.

And just like that, as predicted, the WMS-03 Maganac charges out of cover towards her unit and the convoy. First aiming upwards with vulcan rounds towards Seolla overhead, and then readying a melee weapon for an attack. Though it's not the hammer Ouka has to fear - it's the machine's feet! Going low and attempting to sweep her unit's out from under her. The Long Dagger attempts to parry with its shield, but the blow goes low enough to reach under the shield and impact heavily with the Long Dagger's leg.

Knocked off balance, Ouka fights with (and against) the AMBAC to try and regain her footing while Regina moves on to attack the convoy. A successful strike... the truck, to Ouka's horror, is sent spinning away! "Be advised, the transport has been hit! We need to move quickly to recover..."

The transport opens to reveal the 'prisoner'. Aurum-1 blinks. So, that's what this was about then. Just in time Seolla moves in overhead with suppressing fire attempting to pin down the Maganac. Regaining her unit's footing, the Long Dagger Fortestra draws its M703 Beam Rifle from its backplate and takes aim while her sister opens a window for her. <Acknowledged, taking a close range shot.> She intones over the radio right before firing the rifle into Regina's flank, hoping to catch her off guard.

<Pose Tracker> Patrick Colasour has posed.

The first shot was lucky... But it got the desired result. The Gundam lights up like a Christmas tree, and the pleasant teal of the elite Enact entrusted to Patrick Colasour is tinted by a threatening, vibrant pink. "There you are, Celestial Being! I knew you wouldn't be able to resist... And now, get ready for Patrick Colasour to gun up the ranks when he becomes the AEU's first pilot with a confirmed Gundam kill!" The Enact corkscrews in, blasting past the terrain - and then sharply peeling off right before it would have slammed into an obscured rock, which just so happens to be the exact moment the Enact's previous position is vaporized in a torrent of energy. The squealing turn brings the Enact that much closer to the Virtue, and its limbs emerge as it dances from side to side on the approach, Linear Rifle snapping up and continuing the chase by the AEU ace.

"You Gundams are... so annoying!"

KTS: Tieria Erde fails to evade Patrick Colasour's Linear Rifle - Leading Shot, taking 3600 damage!

KTS: Patrick Colasour begins a Formation attack!

<Pose Tracker> Gary Biaggi has posed.

The Agrissa raises it's arms as a barrier of electricity and plasma form stripping the beam attacks to only a few scorch marks against the beam resistant coating. Stepping forward through the fire Gary broadcast to the pilot of the Throne, <" It's been a while Celestial Being. I don't suppose you are ready to give up now and let a proper pilot use that thing.">

The Agrissa chitters forward slowly making it's way toward the Throne, looming over it as the highway begins to give way to the weight of the Agrissa. As it lumbers forward Gary raises the rifle and begins to take aim. "How about we rattle that head of yours."

The Agrissa's rifle lines up a shot and the monitor insides slowly have two circles closing in and the moment they hit a single point on the target's head the rifle fires a single shot.

More direct hits. The Virtue was not exactly the most evasive of suits, Tieria had to admit. Best to get this out of the way as quick as possible, to avoid more of this simpleton's prattling. The Virtue's chest opens up, the rear of the bazooka connecting directly into the GN drive and charging as the barrel opens up, converting into its burst mode. He fires a wide beam towards the Enact, the force of the shot pushing him back slightly.

<Pose Tracker> Duo Maxwell has posed.

        "ARRRRRRGH!"

Inside the cockpit of the Gundam Deathscythe, Duo Maxwell is rocked to the side as that impressive Dober round damn near tears through the armored hull! "Well. That was uncalled for." Duo remarks to himself before his focus on this little excursion becomes even more, well, actually focused. "Time for another Adventure of Duo Maxwell. The girls are gonna' love this one..."

Duo's hands are all over the controls in this next moment, making quite sure to divert some power here and reverse the Deathscythe to get a little footing. His attempt to evade that Dober round was not well met so he figures he's going to need a little more space.

And that's when that communication comes in. Which just gets Duo to roll his eyes.

"Okay, uh, first of all? You can't count lightning so that name sucks. You might want to rethink that one." Duo quips while checking his weapons systems and bringing them online. "Secondly, how dare you claim I'm on a mission. I'll have you know that I just happened to be in the neighborhood when you so rudely interrupted my evening stroll. I can't believe you!"

Ah, yes, the ol' Duo Maxwell Witty Banter Distraction Tactic is in full effect. "Oh and on more thing..."

The Gundam Deathscythe's speedy movements may have made it possible for this thing to almost kind of 'show up' out of nowhere near the Tallgeese. Well, it might actually be easier to see the BEAM SCYTHE first. Because Duo is swiping it at the Tallgeese right at this exact moment.

<Pose Tracker> Regina Everhart has posed.

The prisoner transport trick is ripped apart from the inside, revealing... not a prison, but a large mobile armor instead. A frown crosses Regina's face at the mocking that comes across open comms.

"Hm, so this was... I see." Regina remarks quietly to herself. A set-up - and one they fell for. Was there even ever a captured pilot?

...Well, at this point, that's irrelevant.

"Do not put yourself at risk unnecessarily. Gather what information you can on the enemy and retreat the moment an opportunity presents itself. ...This is only a recommendation." Regina advises over the Celestial Being line. She has no authority over any of them, after all - they're all from different branches.

...Not that retreat will be easy, with the Federation forces looking to capitalize on the surprise.

From above, yellow beams rain down courtesy of the ReZEL. Even with the Maganac's beam resistant cloak, taking any one of those could result in serious damage. The Maganac retreats back, dancing through the rain of beam fire. It's very close - several of them manage to graze Regina's machine, leaving trails across the armor. As she moves, she pulls hard on the Meteor Hammer with to retrieve it, taking with it a large chunk of the ripped-open transport.

But the pilot of the ReZEL isn't acting on her own. Regina is soon alerted to the Long Dagger approaching from behind, using the covering fire to flank. There's no time to evade - Regina whirls around, raising the Maganac's shield to intercept the incoming beamfire.

...Their teamwork is strong. She may be in for a difficult fight. At that thought, though, Regina can't help but grin a little. She supposes it would be disappointing if this were easy.

Regina pulls the chunk of debris free from the Meteor Hammer's chains and thrusts it forward, looking to jam it right into Ouka's Long Dagger! With the Meteor Hammer's chain free once more, she can use the weapon again - she spins it up to full speed once more and then takes aim, hurling it up high at the ReZEL in an attempt to catch it and force it to the ground!

Nena is a little annoyed that her beams were absorbed like that. But she is quickly distracted as the pilot of that hybrid monster comms her. And she recognizes the voice, <"Oh! It's you again! I see you've got a new toy.">

The Throne Drei floats just a few feet off the ground as the Agrissa starts to approach. The Gundam's head turns upwards at the taller machine as it threateningly aims its rifle and fires.

The Drei spins, quickly darting to the side and letting the beam pass through empty air where the machine's head had been moments before. As it does so, it reaches up with its hands to grab at the saber hilts jutting out of its shoulders.

The weapons are drawn, thick beams of crimson light spilling out to form the blades. Nena giggles back at Gary, <"Still inferior to mine, though!">

The Gundam Throne Drei bursts forwards, gracefully skimming across the ground towards the Agrissa before attempt to lunge both blades into the underbelly of the mobile armor part of the machine.

The trap is sprung-- the contest set. The arrayed Federated forces engage the Celestial interlopers across the board, telemtry fed into the Tallgeese saying as much-- though nearly the entirety of Zechs' focus is, -has- to be, upon Duo Maxwell and his deadly Gundam. The shot is perfectly aligned, rocking the Deathscythe as the recoil of the dober gun sends the Prototype into a sharp spin, coming about in a moment's ebb of vernier thrusters as altitude is consciously dropped.

Abruptly, the jets kick back in, burning blue-white and righting the Tallgeese's trajectory, sharp g-forces tugging at the pilot in its cockpit. It's a sudden shift intended to bring him out of the blazing fast path Duo cuts from his starting position to match the Lightning Count in the skies-- but it instead only sees the Prototype spared a bisection, in favor of a glowing, molten scar along its left flank as that beam scythe makes its mark.

Ideally before Duo can reposition, Zechs is upon him, a beam saber launched into the Prototype's free hand and flaring to crimson life alongside a sudden, vertical acceleration. He brings it down at the beam-scythe, begging for a classic clench-- and then extinguishes the blade a scant moment, seeking to slip Maxwell's guard and drive the re-igniting saber into the Deathscythe's torso armor directly. "Ah yes, a recreational Gundam." Color the Count unconvinced. And apparently, unshaken by the insulting banter.

"Your mission--" as he defiantly continues, transmitting only along that channel to his opponent, "-- is greater than you know. But your technology, your skill, your -spirit- as a pilot is mine to assess." No threats of death, no boastful certitude-- no, their struggle goes far beyond this test. But this test is nonetheless integral to it. "Will you be tempered in the crucible ahead? ... or incinerated by its inferno?"

The defense rod buzzes, whirrs to life, and Patrick Colasour is tossed like a stone across a stream of plasma, letting out a very unprofessional 'yow!' as he rocks in his shaking cockpit and the Enact goes into a spin.

But, credit where credit is due - as soon as the Enact stops swaying like a beached sailor, one arm smoking, the other is snapping the gun right back into position, peppering the giant Gundam with more shots. Patrick Colasour doesn't just die hard - he doesn't die at all!

The Agrissa is a large, heavily armored mobile armor with the upper half of a mobile suit. This means that it can act like a mobile suit in some ways. Unfortunately being able to quickly parrying a GN Driven Mobile Suit is not something it seems it can do. The beam cuts a good chunk into the Agrissa armor and melts away some of that beam coating.

Gary grins a little as he speaks up to Nena, <"Now now, don't go judging my toy just yet, I haven't started showing off quite yet. Now do me a favor and catch.">

A hum could be heard if people were standing next to the Agrissa, and then the smell of ozone would be obvious. Finally the electricity around the legs would be visible. It appears the Agrissa had a small warm up period but now it was ready. Since it was ready now, one of the large front arachnid legs comes up and takes a swipe at Nena with electricity flowing all around it ready to give the Throne a shocking revelation.

"...Ouka...I'm not holding back! I'll make a crater out of them...and we'll be back home, after a job well done...!" With a whirring of servos and a releasing of latches, the divebombing ReZEL shifts into a more humanoid form in the wake of Regina's hammer hurling closer - catching that iron maul, tossing it aside, and flipping a rather imposingly long rifle barrel from under its arm.

"[:117:145:255]'Celestial Being'...you're clinging to the words of a dead man, stirring chaos in a world that doesn't need any more of it. ...Disappear...!!!!!"         Unfortunately Ouka took too long, and as a result the Maganac has time to reorient itself and block the beam rifle shot! She tsks... it's clear from this pilot's reaction times and combat style that they are a comfortable close combatant. While the First Boosted Child is no slouch in that department either, her unit is not nearly as mobile especially thanks to the heavy Fortestra armor.

When a chunk of debris is pulled from the chains of the Meteor Hammer and swung as an improvised melee weapon, the Long Dagger unsheathes its beam saber! It attempts to catch the debris and knock it aside, but the angle is too shallow and as a result the chunk slides past and impacts heavily against the Long Dagger's chest plate. Ouka's cockpit rattles as the unit steps back.

"Seolla..." Ouka hesitates at the fire in Seolla's words, but she continues with a bit of warmth to her voice, "That's right, let's focus on the mission and then we'll go back home... together!"

As her sister descends from the heavens with another beam shot, Ouka waits until she is certain of the opponenet's reaction to the vertical barrage before suddenly moving in for her own assault. This time using her Beam Saber, she attempts to drive the blade straight into the hip of the Maganac while it is still focused on defending against the ReZEL!!!

So that's what all those alarms sound like when they go off at once.

That would be the expression on Duo's face inside the cockpit of flashing lights that is happening in this exact moment inside the Gundam Deathscythe. It is quite the horrible display of what can only be considered uh, well, Duo's Cocky Nature Catching Up With Him At This Exact Wrong Moment In A Crucial Rescue Mission Of High Importance.

The more known world calls this: Poor Duo.

Anyway, as the Gundam Deathscythe attempts to swing that Beam Scythe in such a manner to try and respond to that vicious Beam Saber of the Tallgeese's employ, there's some timing that doesn't work in Duo's favor and this Gundam is damn near gutted with supreme skill and maybe even a little bit of style.

That personal line of communication open, Duo responds, "Okay, so I was going to tell you how cool that move was..." Duo rolls his eyes. "But then you ruined it with quite possibly the worst banter I have ever heard. Seriously, what are you even saying? What kind of yahoo speaks in riddles like this?" Duo's stalling to try and get some of his systems back operational. Very much to no avail. Annoyed eyes scan his console and screens. "Let me guess, your day job? Librarian."

Gundam Deathscythe gives the Beam Scythe a bit of a twirl thanks to Duo's piloting and that Scythe comes swinging upwards at the Tallgeese to see if it can't put a little stank on this here battle. Duo Maxwell doesn't go down without a fight.

The hum filters in through the speakers in Nena's cockpit. She blinks a little, wondering where it's coming from... And then the electricity starts to spark around the legs of the Agrissa. Oh boy, this could be rough...

The Agrissa swings a leg towards the Drei, which was in the perfect position for such after having rushed in to stab the large machine. Nena yelps a little, rushing to bring both her blades into the path of the leg. They collide with it.

The Gundam Throne Drei is knocked back quite a distance from the impact. While the Agrissa might be a little slow and unwieldy, it certainly has a lot of mass backing it.

Nena presses on the thrust a bit, bringing herself to a stop. At which point point she notices several systems in the Drei's arms are acting up, "Wah?"

Purple Haro buzzes in response, "Electrical discharge. Electrical discharge. Reset required. Reset required."

Nena frowns. Did the electricity conduct down her blades? She scoffs, "Fine, I just have to buy some time, right?" She flicks a few switches.

Nena comms back to Gary, <"Not bad, not bad... But do you remember this one!?">

"Ah, but the puzzle before us -is- a riddle; like no other." Zechs asserts, continuing to be less than agitated by his skilled adversary's skillful jibes and more talented battle maneuvers. He seeks to twist in midair with the flurry of the Beam Scythe-- but to little avail.

The flaring edge cleaves anew into the Prototype's less-than-gundanium hull, drawing a protest of sparking conduits as systems are forced to re-route around the gouge dug into its right shoulder, even as the Lightning Count is driven lower, vernier thrusters arresting his descent to the ground-- and launching him straight back at the intimidating Shinigami.

"Your flippancy conceals deadly skill; and provides you calm in the worst of situations, under the heaviest of burdens." Beat. The dober gun cycles to the Tallgeese's back, a second beam saber leaps into that hand and flares to life, a criss-cross of laser swords aligned to draw their angular, violent line across the Deathscythe's midsection-- and then tear suddenly to either side, as if spilling its mechanical guts across the battlefield below.

"... I see now why you are a good compliment to your First's volatile sensitivity and serious-minded intensity." The Lightning Count knows more than he 'should'. And on that sub-channel, in a data packet of the tiniest addendum, Deathscythe receives a set of coordinates-- coordinates encrypted with an aging CSB cypher that may not be in use any longer, but that Maxwell can readily decipher with a bit of gadget-assisted acumen; another of the Gundam Pilot's fortes.

The ReZEL descends, transforming on the way. Regina's respect for the pilot increases at the way she deftly knocks her Meteor Hammer aside, using the same motion to take aim. Regina draws the Maganac's cloak tightly around itself, bearing her shield as the ReZEL aims to smite her with the very intensity of the heavens. The beam crashes against her shield, pushing her mobile suit back and carving a trail through the earth... at which point the Long Dagger attacks once more.

Regina reacts quickly, once swift motion storing away the Meteor Hammer and drawing out the Maganac's Heat Tomahawk, the weapon's head flaring to life. In one quick motion catches Ouka's Beam Saber, redirecting the strike at the hip into a superficial wound, and quickly following up with a slash aimed at her mobile suit's sensors.

And then, the Maganac whirls upon the ReZEL as it slows its descent.

"...'Chaos'. Yes. The world is filled with chaos. People fight, and spill each other's blood. Even in the face of external, existential threats, any unity it may create is fleeting." Regina replies to Seolla. "If peace can only be claimed through 'chaos', so be it."

Gary grins at watching the annoyance of the Celestial Being having to deal with the electricity, until he is blasted with those pain the ass red particles. Somewhere, some G-Hound scientist is probably happy they are being used so abundantly but the Agrissa's targeting computers are going haywire. It is one thing to mess with your opponents systems but it is rude when they do it to you.

The Agrissa pilot lets out a growl over the comms before his annoyance shows, <"Look here you damn brat if you were a real pilot you wouldn't need to hide behind such things like this."> Hmm Gary feels like he has heard similar words before but continues, <"Here let me show you exactly how we handle such things.">

The Agrissa's electrical current begins to flow along the legs before in one giant burst as if trying to wrap the Throne in it like some form of cage. It's a rather big net of electrical current being thrown to, as if it was meant to catch a whole lot of Thrones.

He agrees with his own face so much that he actually nods at his quick reflection.

This also gives him a chance to spot those incoming coordinates. "Uhhhh..." Duo remarks while immediately flipping some switches to isolate the incoming message and run it through some security software to clean it up. Just in case this is some kind of Trojan Horse tactic. He's got some top tier customizable protection he's added to the Deathscythe for potential situations like this. But back to this flippancy, "You know, you could've just said I'm awesome. It's so much cooler than whatever that crap is you just said."

Gundam Deathscythe attempts to try and back up away from the Tallgeese, Duo inside the cockpit shifting gears and trying to regain control of this whole situation. Lights are still blinking like mad but maybe he's got enough power left to make this move happen. Maybe not. "Seriously, we gotta' work on more concise compliments. Repeat after me..." Duo really shouldn't be pushing these verbal buttons should he? Ah well. "Gundam Deathscythe Rocks."

There's a ping on the comm screen and his attention turns there to check out the message without too much worry about the Gundam being hacked. He squints at it. "... Huh." Duo doesn't even mute the comm for that moment so his enemy might even know 'message received'.

Unfortunately this systems report does not match what Gary is seeing on his cameras, in which the red and grey Gundam deftly hovers to the side with its physics defying engine, causing the electrical cage to zap around open air.

It seems the Agrissa's systems are still recovering from the blast of crimson GN particles.

Nena giggles over the comms as her machine hovers in a circle around the Agrissa, <"Awww, is the big important man in his new shiney mid-life crisis mobile weapon having some performance issues?">

<Pose Tracker> Seolla Schweizer has posed.

Seolla took one look at the Maganac - at its bulky, slightly outdated build, one she's recognized from countless hours training (juuuust in case she needed to be involved in, say, an operation in the Sanc Kingdom). She thought she had it figured out - how she could move in and out for maximum effectiveness, get in close and do damage before it could even react.

The way it moves in response - catching Seolla with a fierce hand to hand strike with almost fluid agility - makes her totally unprepared, rocked about in her cockpit as a hole is gouged deep into her ReZEL's armor. A long, loud shriek of uncertainty over the radio - followed by swiftly catching herself, eyes narrowed, a coarse grumble in her throat.

"...What...what kind of bullshit is that...what, are you gonna make everything worse so that it might make everything better? Everything's on fire, so you're gonna light more stuff on fire and hope it's for the best??? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MINDS?!"

There is only what is right in front of her.

If the world were bigger, more complicated than that-

        It'd be too much.

Mouth agape in a loud, screeching scream, Seolla curls both fo the ReZEL's forearms around the Maganac - hatches flipping up on the large vambraces, revealing the bright red tips of grenade launchers, which soar out at point blank range-!

"I'm afraid that is too simple to be an accurate sentiment." Zechs notes almost somberly as the Deathscythe rolls with the Lightning Count's attempted cyber-disembowlment, limiting the critical damage. "You are a broken piece of a greater whole; a reactive agent of chaos you neither control nor foresee."

The rocket comes free of the Gundam's shielded tube, and for a moment it obscures the space occupied by the Prototype-- or rather, that which it previously occupied. The statuesque white mobile suit soars skyward at a forty-five degree angle to its right, twists and rides the outer edges of the shockwave, and then -blasts- at full intensity back in at Duo as intravenous tubes pump Zechs full of g-diffusing pharmaceuticals; it's painful, but it beats brain aneurysm.

"You are an upjumped pawn gifted the power of a Rook without the valuable experience of a dangerous trek across the board of a deeper game, Number Two." Tallgeese comes in hard, both beam sabers blazing, one striking low in a stab for the Shinigami's left hip, and the other arcing high in a rising cleave for Deathscythe's left shoulder.

The former blade would be wrenched outwards, the latter guided inwards, both seeking even greater punishment; while precisely 'not' quite obliterating or incapactitating the Gundam in any probable worst case. "If you wish to see the wide board, heed my last message well; and the first. You have nothing to win here-- and should flee." With the trap unfolding around them, even if they win-- the Lightning Count may indeed profess perspicacity.

<Pose Tracker> Gary Biaggi has posed.

To say that the taunting gets under Gary's skin is untrue, it does however get under his helmet. From the outside the damage Nena's words caused may seem neglible, just a hesitation in the Agrissa. A moment where it doesn't move or anything. On the inside however Gary Biaggi has removed his helmet and retreaving a knife from his boot removes the hairtie that holds his hair back in a way that will never let that hairtie do it's job again.

Sitting there now with his hair free flowing, no longer confined to the helmet or the proper protocols that would normally come with the job. <"You know what I think I am going to go off mission now."> His voice is calm, cool, as if he had this all planned out from the beginning.

The Agrissa finally begins to move again this time the electrical energy flowing around it seeminng to discharge before from two cannons mounted on the side of the Agrissa body fires out a large burst of plasma energy towards the Throne. "Fry."

<Pose Tracker> Ouka Nagisa has posed.

Once again Ouka attempts to strike while Regina is vulnerable, and once again she finds her blow turned aside. The First Boosted Child is genuinely impressed. Especially for the pilot to be utilizing such an antiquated machine. Were this a sparring match and not a life or death struggle she might even stop at some point ot congratulate her.

As the heat tomahawk arcs upwards from the blade of her beam saber, aiming to intersect with her unit's head, she barely has enough time to bring up her shield and block the blow. A line of red hot metal burnt deep into the surface. She grimaces at that. Her unit has taken a beating while in turn she feels like she has made any sort of impact on the Maganac. She'll need to do something drastic to shift the flow of battle and soon..

... and that is when she hears Seolla's angry voice roaring over in response to Regina's comments. "Seolla, don't let her distract you! She's trying to goad you."

But before her words can reach her, Seolla has unleashed a barrage of grenades! The First Boosted Child quickly maneuvers her unit out of the path of the forearm grenades. At this point the best she can do is try to make use of Seolla's attack to make one of her own, the cannon on her shoulder unleasheing single powerful 115mm round aimed directly at the Maganac's shoulder!

        "..."

Duo Maxwell just stares ahead as he listens to yet another long-winded rant of something or other that makes absolutely no sense. Especially coming through a personal comm line. "Hold on. You're breaking up. I can't understand you. You sound like a loser."

Well, that last quip came at a bad time.

Cut To: XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe (Exterior)

Twin Beam Sabers of Violent Injustice penetrate through even that incredible Gundanium Alloy with a collective of sparks and slicing. It's a combination that happens with so much precision and style that the Gundam Deathscythe almost seems to just walk right into it. There's only an incredible moment of slow motion as those Sabers show just how Perfect they truly, truly are. The left hip and the left shoulder of the Gundam Deathscythe spark and short circuit without fail, the dual attack causing tremendous distress to the Mobile Suit's systems. That much is obvious.

Cut To: XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe (Cockpit)

If you thought the alarms from earlier were bad, this might as well be the Woodstock of alarms. Systems are failing all around Duo as he tries his best to hold the Deathscythe together. He's got a few back-up systems to lean his remaining power to but it's not anything that will actually be able to keep him in this fight. All he can do at this point is keep the Deathscythe from exploding. Less because he's in it and more because he doesn't want to have to build one of these from scratch. That would be no bueno. Thus the Failsafe Protocols. Either way, Duo is a hot mess inside this here cockpit as he tries to get anything to WORK. WORK, DAMMIT!

Duo stares at his console, shutting down the alarms lest it mix with the country music that he can't get rid of and sighs. It's an audible enough sigh into that dedicated comm-line to the enemy that just REKT him so viciously that he can't even hide his disgust anymore. In fact, he's all out of quips. Instead, he has one more comment for his newly SWORN ENEMY as of this moment. A resigned, NOT BY PERSONAL CHOICE, response of...

        "Fair Enough."

Duo Maxwell is really going to have to work to spin this here story to the ladies. Ugh.

<Pose Tracker> Nena Trinity has posed.

Nena is perhaps going a liiiiiiiiittle too far with playing with her prey right now. Which kind of shows she is caught a little off guard by the double shots of plasma cannon fire. She's able to bring her shield around to tank one of them. But the other strikes the Drei's body, burning a deeper crevasse into the machine's tough armor.

Nena cries out, <"Wah!"> The Drei floats back just a bit before its crimson blades suddenly vanish and it raises its hands, <"W-Wait! Hold on! I-I was just playing around. You wouldn't kill a sweet, innocent girl like me, right?">

The Drei floats there for a few moments, before it suddenly bursts forwards, beam sabers flaring back to life,

        "PSYCHE!"

The Gundam Throne Drei quickly closes the distance and starts going to town against the Agrissa, its blades lashing out multiple times in rapid succession as it tries to dice the other machine up into itty bitty pieces.

"Trying to extinguish it hasn't worked. Neither has letting it run its course. What is left but to strike at the source of the flames?" Regina replies. "There is no miracle coming to save this world from the fires of war. And thus, we take matters into our own hands."

Seolla directs both of the ReZEL's grenade launchers at the Maganac. At point blank range, they're too close to evade - too close to block, even. Regina opens fire with her vulcans in an attempt to disable them... but there are too many to stop. The Maganac is rocked by explosion after explosion - the sound of which is soon joined by the report of Ouka's shoulder cannon, firing into the fray.

The smoke clears... and the Maganac is still standing, though worse for wear. The beam resistant cloak is charred and tattered - much of the armor plating has been torn away. Sparks dance across the machine's surface. The mobile suit's shield is split down the middle from where it intercepted the shot meant for the shoulder - the armor of which has been blasted away, revealing the joint.

"...Your talents are impeccable. I commend you, for pushing me this far!" Regina congratulates, unbidden emotion seeping into her voice as a grin creeps across her face. She had been the first to recommend retreat... but here she is, pressing the fight. How could she not, when faced with a pair of talented opponents?

Ignoring the whines of joints and servos pushes to their limit, Regina's Maganac bears down on Seolla's ReZEL once more - this time drawing her Heat Tomahawk and unleashing a quick succcession of slashes, finishing off with a leap back during which she hurls the Beam Tomahawk directly at the ReZEL.

This action, as it happens, as to help close the distance between herself and Ouka's Long Dagger. The damaged shield is hurled as a distraction before she ducks in, unleashing a quick and brutal succession of bare-handed blows designed to overwhelm any presented defenses.

The electric field comes up and tries to providde a shield to catch the blade but the barrier of plasma and electricity is no GN field. The beam saber cuts in and actually manages to hit the arm of the Enact as it cuts through the wrist leaving it with only one hand.

Gary shakes his head and says to himself, "This thing is simply to immobile, however..." Gary presses buttons, not like totally random but like he has an idea. The agrissa begins to power down most of its systems. The Enact becomes pretty lifeless to.

For a moment it may seem like Gary is surrendering before the two plasma cannons begin to glow red hot and then fire a full on blast at Throne Drei at close range. The Agrissa isn't immune to teh damage though as the cannons are literally melting from the output while Gary pours everything into it.

<Pose Tracker> Zechs Merquise has posed.

"Time will tell." Zechs concedes. It's far from a road with a certain destination which he has chosen to walk; amid just the chaos he recently cited.

"We 'will' meet again, Number Two. Whether you will hear me then..." The shrug is not physically expressed, but clear in the cool tones. That is simply one more uncertainty along the rubble-strewn, shrapnel-raining course before the Lightning Count. Rather than pursuing or seeking to fully incapacitate Maxwell, the Tallgeese's blue-white thrusters flare, and the Prototype shoots into the sky, back towards those combatants still engaged in life or death struggle amid the questionably effective trap.

Zechs swaps his comm channels back to the Federation forces, "This is Lieutenant Merquise. Status report. Which forces engaged require assistance?" It's an open question if even the Tallgeese is fast enough to provide such relief before the violent struggles resolve, however-- before Celestial Being fades back into the heavens, and the Federation's war machine begins to accommodate their potential.

<Pose Tracker> Nena Trinity has posed.

Nena doesn't seem to care that most of the Agrissa is going limp. She just continues to carve into it with her beam sabers. All the while, she's laughing, <"Hahahahahahahaha~">

Whether it's by some flash of recognition... Or her Haro analyzing all the data coming in through the Drei's admirable sensor suite and providing a warning... Nena seems to catch on to the charging of the plasma cannons.

The Drei darts around to one side of the Agrissa, moving out of the firing arc of one of the cannons. The other she charges at, one of her sabers lashing out and scrapping across it, throwing off the aim. The resulting bolt of plasma rushes past the Gundam's arm, just giving it some light scorching on the way past.

Nena's assault does not let up as she continues to rip into the Agrissa's main frame. Occasionally she lashes out with one of her blades towards a leg joint, trying to slice the spider-like mobile armor's limbs off.

At least she appears to be having fun!

KTS: Nena Trinity targets Gary Biaggi with GNW-003 Twin Beam Sabers Onslaught!

<Pose Tracker> Ouka Nagisa has posed.

As Regina continues her ideological screed, Ouka just tries her best to filter it out. Doing her best to keep both herself, and her sister, on task. Their combined attacks do finally seem to be showing some effect however. Even though her shot failed to disable the arm, like she had hoped, it did both damage the shield and severely damage the Maganac's shoulder armor!!

And so the screed ins, and what the pilot offers to both Boosted Children is congratulations for pushing her this far. But what follows is much less kind. First she moves to attack Seolla with a quick succession of slashes using the heat tomahawk. <Seolla, look out!!> She's already moving to help her sister...

... which in turn brings her close to the Maganac. Flinging the shield at the Long Dagger, this serves as enough distraction for it to close into hand to hand range. Ouka attempts to use her beam saber to parry the blows, but with a single strike Regina knocks the hilt of the blade free and sends it spinning to the ground. What follows is a desperate struggle between the two machines. Ouka's machine attempting desperately to defend itself, and Regina's raining increasingly damaging and crushing blows upon the Long Dagger.

Pieces of the Fortestra equipment, shattered from the heavy impacts, rain across the ground below. A right arm is brought up to defend against and attack, only to be struck with such ferocity than the arm's shoulder joint shatters and seizes!! With the last remaining arm Ouka defends her cockpit block as the blows rain down one after another. Within her cockpit the screens begin to shatter and smoke, external sensors are lost. She can only be completely certain that the assault hasn't ended yet because she can FEEL the strikes reverberating through her unit's frame.

Eventually the Long Dagger is left nearly prone, struggling under its own weight. Its armor cracked with smoke and sparks pouring from within. It's clear that the unit is far from a threat anymore.

<Seolla...> Ouka's voice can barely be heard through the static, <... retreat, I'll provide you an opening.>

With that the Long Dagger suddenly lurches upward and forward, attempting to crash into the Maganac and stagger it with its own weight!! But at this angle, the pilot of the Long Dagger wouldn't be able to eject without the Maganac being within its trajectory.

Which is just what Ouka is hoping.

Despite not being able to see much through her sensors, she attempts to use her relative position and the reverberations of the blow to determine where Maganac is standing. When she tackles the other unit she engages the ejection system, while aiming her ejection pod directly towards the Maganac's sensors!! Should the pod hit the Maganac it won't do much besides likely distract the pilot, meanwhile the pod itself will be sent chaotically spinning and smoking off in the distance.

An insane maneuver, one that would almost certainly kill or maim any normal pilot...

<Pose Tracker> Seolla Schweizer has posed.

Seolla is, unfortunately, easily goaded. There's a razor-sharp focus on being in the moment - of the tangible visual things around her, that Ouka's guidance does slip into the background. Every millisecond of visual and tangible feedback is pushing her thoughts to the limit.

She thinks she's bought herself space with the grenades, and boosts backwards to gather herself for one last strike...only for a tomahawk to whirl from the smoke, splitting the ReZel's head in twaine, cleaving deep - dangerously deep - into the torso.

Indeed: Seolla's entire field of view is torn apart by that ultra-heated iron - steaming and sizzling just a foot away from her face. One hand moves to clutch at herself, covering her eyes and screaming in half desperation, half singing pain. Seolla has to think fast - moving blind, she can still operate the arms just fine, and pulls them in to wrench that tomahawk free from being embedded in her suit, gasping and shuddering as she tosses it to the side. Back tightly arched, heaving with each deep breath, Seolla cracks an eye open - her only line of sight being the gaping canyon torn into her suit from the impact-

Just in time to see Ouka make that utterly insane maneuver. Time slows to a crawl - she can't allow this. She can't have one of the most important people in her life risk it like this.

        "...Ouka...OUKAAAAAAAAA! Not...Not here, not now! Uuuu...UOOOAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!"

Alarms blare out from every speaker that still works. Every joint on the ReZEL creaks - reactor output is dangerously unstable. But Seolla demands every inch of it she can - launching towards the Maganac in the posture of an Olympic sprinter. But she no longer cares about that opponent. Her eyes track only the careening cockpit block Ouka tried to actually hit the enemy with. Winces once it spins - and leaps forward to catch it in a ceaseless frenzy. Once it's safely in hand...she's retreating as far as she can. She doesn't know how long it'll hold - how far she can go. She can't even really see where she's actually going - the wind rushing into her cockpit whips at her hair and blinds her eyes.

But the radio still works. And Seolla shrieks, tears muddying her eyes, "P...please...never do that again...Ouka...!!! ...there's...no reason for me to go anywhere if it's without you...!"

Another piece of the Enact's body gets carved out as does a good chunk of Agrissa armor, however Gary isn't worried. Not at all, those alarms are just music to Gary as he gets into the final bits of combat. Then comes Merquises voice, <"I swear to all that is if you get involved I will not worry about friendly fire."> Did Gary just threaten Zechs? Maybe, maybe not.

The Agrissa's cannons are gone, no more burstss of plasma or anything, however the Agrissa now has nothing it needs to divert energy so the field of electricity is back.

<"I believe Celestial Being wanna be, I told you to FRY!"> The electrical energy discharges towards the Throne, wave after wave of it trying to simply shock the pilot into nothing.

The Long Dagger is damaged beyond the ability to fight. Regina has no intention of finishing it off - she turns, so as to better focus her attention on the ReZEL... and yet, she is alerted to movement from the side as Ouka pushes the machine to its very limit.

%"Recklessness... That machine should not even be moving. Do not risk your life further." Regina warns. It may be a bit hypocritical for her of all people to scold someone for recklessness, considering how she gets when she fights. But it seems risk is exactly what the pilot intends.

"What're you - Don't!" Regina shouts, surprised as the Long Dagger crashes into her machine. She realises what she's attempting a moment too late to try and get her machine out of the path of the ejecting pod. Doesn't she realise what'll happen if her pod strikes at that speed, from this close...!?

...But thankfully, Seolla is there to safely catch the pod. The Maganac removes the damaged Long Dagger from its person, and watches the ReZEL as it flees, precious cargo in tow. Regina considers the two of them for a moment and smiles, just slightly. She makes no attempt to pursue - they've both earned that right.

"...I am retreating. I recommend you do the same, the moment an opportunity presents itself." Regina recommends over the Celestial Being line, drawing the rest of the Maganac's beam-resistant cloak tightly around itself before moving to retreat.

        She's not having fun now.

The Agrissa alarms are blaring as the shield fails and power blips long enough to put holes into the Agrissa body. Things are looking rather bleak and the warning lights are all saying that if Gary doesn't retreat he won't ever retreat.

Gary looks about and then over at the alerts and then at teh Throne and then at the Agrissa alerts and tsks. "Fine fine." A large field of electricity radiates out as nothing more then a distraction. To anyone who may ask Gary it was a draw, to anyone who saw the Agrissa, it was a loss.

Leaping into the air the Agrissa's legs tuck in and activate its hover mode as it withdraws behind the others every so often though the engine cuts for a moment and it plummets several feet. It's fine though.

<Pose Tracker> Nena Trinity has posed.

The assault of electricity finally ends as the Agrissa makes its retreat. The Gundam Throne Drei drops from where it had been hovering in the air, landing on its feet somewhat roughly. Far from the usual grace the machine is able to display.

Inside the cockpit, Nena's hands are no longer on the controls, instead gripping her shoulders as she breathes heavily, eyes unfocused.

It takes a minute or two for Nena to calm down after that ending, thankfully in no danger with the G-Hound forces in retreat. Finally Nena remarks with a mixture of annoyance and regret, "This sucks... I want something sweet." She looks up at her Haro, "Can I go home yet?"

Purple Haro buzzes back, "Plan F12. Plan F12."

Nena groans, "Not another plan... Not right now..." Still, she glances up at it as it comes on screen and goes over the highlights, "Yada yada... Successful forcing of enemy forces into retreat-Ah. Return to base." Nena sighs in relief. Though she probably would have bailed anyway, even if it wasn't the plan. She didn't feel like sticking around... This just means she won't get punished for doing so.
